I dont pvp or pirate in low sec /high sec so i dont care.

So let me see if I understand this.

Current mechanics

Pilot A ganks Pilot B. Pilot B ends up in a pod. Pilot A gets concorded, ends up in a pod.

Neutral loot scooping alt for pilot A swoops in and grabs the loot. Loot alt gets flagged as shootable by Pilot B, which is basically a joke since you just put that guy in a pod. So essentially your loot scooping alt is pretty "safe"

With the new mechanic, your neutral loot alt will now be at greater risk of getting "ganked"Shocked

Am I the only one that finds gankers complaining about this hilariously ironic?

Even I can figure half a dozen ways to abuse the new mechanics to grief other players - and no matter how twisty and devious I think I am getting, there are several others out there in New Eden who make me seem as straight as a laser beam.

Actually, no. The thing is that these sweeping changes are less about improving safety and more about reducing lag. Before, the server had to handle thousands of calculations about who had aggression or kill rights on who. Now, you gain a flag that simply allows anyone to shoot you, thus cutting down the number of required calculations immensely.

Pretty sure they had hotdroppers and several carrier groups waiting on standby in the nearby low-sec system in case you fled down one of the pipes toward null.
