Octarius Eskravu, thanks for posting that question.

A special thank you to Tau Cabalander for answering that question and for contributing more information to this thread.

Nerror theTerror, welcome back.

Thanks, I figured adding 'The Plan' to the Evelopedia would make it easily accessible to more people.

As for changes, you're probably already familiar with changes that has happened to Event Agents over this past year or so.

The old original Tutorial Agents who offered 'The Endless Battle' missions were forced into early retirement. The initial post of this thread contains a link for a proposal to re-activate those agents. All agents except for Cosmos Agents (Cosmos still use old original quality level for access) were changed with the 'Agents Made Easy' expansion. Various different Event Agents are basically bugged / broken and or indisposed at this time requiring a petition to be filed either for access or to receive the appropriate Faction standing increase..

Other than that, gaining Corporation standing to access Epic Arcs and Data Center Agents is a lot easier.

I hope it helps everyone as much as the old one did.

Kalpel, thanks for posting.

I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to, maybe the new security status changes in the upcoming Inferno expansion?

Anyway, Data Center Agents offer players a Faction standing increase in exchange for Pirate Dog Tags, such as Angel Copper Tags, Guristas Bronze Tags, etc.

Quick question: I read in another thread recently that someone recommended doing all three schools for a faction to get faction standing up. I seem to recall that you could only do tutorial missions for one school, then you're done. Is that not the case? Can I do all three schools for faction boost?

Katja Faith,

There are 15 Career Agents for each of the 4 main Empire Factions. Each of those 4 main Empire Factions has 3 different starter schools with 5 Career Agents located in each station. You can complete each Career Agent only once in the life of your character.

So basically the answer is yes - you can do all three schools for Faction standing boost. You can also work the allied Factions agents as well.

The total amount of Career Agents available in this game is 60.

Actually, the plan got my main from -6.x to (at this point) -2.04... Grinding L1's that last .05 to get below -2 (and get me into Minnie Level 2's) is absolutely painful... P

Ahhh, congrats for the standing increase. Always good to hear 'The Plan' is helping players.

Anyway, the Career, Circle and Data Center 'Cert' agents are all level 1 and always available. If you've already completed those for a specific Faction and still haven't reached the desired amount of Faction standing, you can gain derived standing increase by completing the same agents for that Factions ally.

Good luck to you.

this might be a stupid question, i might have missed something in the many pages of replies or even through the guide however despite pushing forward im still slightly confused on one point...

once completing agents for my lowest faction to proceed to do the same for its ally correct? (amarr first then caldari)
once i have done the lvl 1 agents for these 2 factions do i then do all lvl 1 agents for gallente and minmatar and see saw myself up to lvl 4 agents?

my apologies if this is stupid or i seem delirious i just feel im missing something in my head and would like clarification.

ps your guide is incredible and useful and i cant wait for the day i log on and have +5 across all empire factions.

Tekali,

That's a very good question and thanks for the complement.

Basically 'The Plan' is exactly that, a plan that can be modified to fit each players specific needs. The initial starting steps are basically the same for everyone and then changes depending on each players particular situation.

Based on standings, some players can work a couple levels of unfriendly Factions Event Agents before needing to 'bounce' over to the friendly Factions Event Agents.

Since you're Gallente, usually the Caldari Faction would be the lowest unfriendly Faction with Amarr being the highest unfriendly Faction. Going with that presumption, then Amarr Faction would be quicker to access due to having a higher standing than Caldari. That's why 'The Plan' states : "start with the Empire Faction that has the highest negative Faction standing above -5.00"

That basically allows you to quickly start working 'The Plan' instead of spending a lot of time grinding regular level 1 missions to gain storyline for the lowest unfriendly Faction. Now if both unfriendly Factions are above -5.00 standing, then it doesn't matter which one you start with. After working all the level 1 Event Agents for both unfriendly Factions, you can then start working the level 2 Event Agents for those Factions.

In most cases, after completing the unfriendly level 2 Event Agents is when you'll have to 'bounce' over to the friendly Factions. Of course this all depends on how much of a difference there is between the unfriendly and friendly Faction standings. When you do 'bounce' over to the friendly Factions, just follow the same steps as before when working the unfriendly Factions, meaning start with the level 1 Event Agents.

As for your questions :

Quote:
once completing agents for my lowest faction to proceed to do the same for its ally correct? (amarr first then caldari)
Yes, that is correct.
Quote:
once i have done the lvl 1 agents for these 2 factions do i then do all lvl 1 agents for gallente and minmatar and see saw myself up to lvl 4 agents?
Normally you can work the level 1 and level 2 agents associated with the unfriendly Factions before needing to 'bounce' over to your friendly Factions.

Main thing to remember is keep watch on your Faction standings and 'bounce' over to the opposite Faction whenever needed. When you start doing that, that's when you'll be riding the 'See-Saw' on up to the level 4 Agents.

I hope this answered your question.

Cool, there's nothing wrong with asking questions to gain a better understanding, especially when it pertains to 'The Plan'.. I've always believed that Information is King and Conversation is it's Queen.

That's the main reason this thread was created.

Of course I do like seeing creds bestowed too.

EDIT :

Yeah, you're getting close to including Minmatar into the rotation or 'bounce' action. Looks like you still got some time left on Gallente.

Anyway, by the time you complete all level 3 and lower Event Agents and throw in a few rounds of Epic Arcs, you can easily have the top 4 Empire Factions up above +5.00 standing. When you start working the level 4 agents, the 'See-Saw' get's really wild, especially since Amarr and Caldari have a lot more level 4 Cosmos Agents than Minmatar and Gallente.

Great, thank you very much and much success to you.

I had bounced back and forth on the level 4 agents and got my standings up above +6.00 for the top 4 Empire Factions, unfortunately there were still some Amarr and Caldari agents left. I could have stopped there but my goal is to complete all Event Agents available in this game and decided to do them as well.

Needless to say Minmatar and Gallente are getting hit but thanks to the Epic Arcs, they can be brought back up later. I have about 8 or 9 agents left to complete and then I'll have all Empire Event Agents completed. Next up will be the Pirate Event Agents, of course that will be done after a rather large buffer is created by running the level 4 Epic Arcs.

I'm going to attempt this starting from a level of -10.0 with the Gallente. I've spent about 3 years getting it that low, the only reason I'm changing it now is because of a need for jump clones. So... wish me luck?

-10 with Gallente?

Shocked

Ouch, hopefully Minmatar Faction standing is higher. If so, start with Minmatar since that would help decrease the amount of time spent grinding missions with a level 1 agent to get above -5.00 standing. Then you can work 'The Plan'.

Anyway, you got a lot of work ahead of you and yes, most definitely 'Good Luck' to you.

Yeah, Minmatar is only on -3.15 after skills, I've avoided shooting them where possible. I guess I could start there, I've spent all day grinding away with Quafe and felt like I was getting nowhere any time soon! So cheers for the tip :)

Great, with -3.15 Minmatar Faction standing, you can work the Minmatar Event Agents which will help raise Gallente standing quite a bit and when Gallente get's above -5.00 Faction standing, you can then work the Gallente Event Agents.

Of course you'll also receive negative derived standing hits towards the other Factions which is why it's important to keep watch on the standings as they change and 'bounce' to the opposite Faction when needed.

To minimize constantly getting derived standings, when you have all major Factions above -2.00 standing, you can then mainly concentrate on working the Epic Arcs since they give little to no derived standings.

Anyway, glad to help and hope you have much success working 'The Plan'.

Update time.

Since I last posted, I trained Diplomacy 5 and have got Connections 5 on the go as we speak. I ran all 15 Minmatar agents and am about 11/15 done with Gallente, running them all in a Thrasher where possible(overkill maybe?), and now I'm at -2.5 with the Gallente.
Once I'm done with the final four agents I should be in a position to begin my jump clone plan, touch wood. If needed it shouldn't take too long to speak with the circle agents eh?

Sadly my once glorious 9.8 with Amarr(achieved doing nothing but storylines, if I'd known about the Plan sooner it would most certainly have been higher!) is coming down, and is currently on 7.7. It's not taken as bad a hit as I thought it would but a loss was expected so I'm not exactly what you'd call disappointed.

Many thanks sir, this plan has not only enabled me to quickly get on with my own plans, but I can finally hang out with my mates in Gallente space after several years of having had the door firmly slammed in my face :D Thank you thank you thank you!
