Not a bug, but can I ask what's up with the speech bubble symbols next to some of my character information? I tried going to battleclinic, but I can't load the site.

There is no support for the Corp CAK yet..Sad
I need to see my industry jobs in the POS

Is that feature coming soon..
I don't really want to use EVEHQ, as it's so slow at times..

I am now toast with the new Evemon load.
All my chars have no API key associated with them anymore.
Evemon no longer accepts my limited API key, saying it has expired.

Fine, I generate a new limited API from the Eve website.
Evemon says that one is expired also.

Fine, I use the new setup where you can build a customizable API key.
That is a disaster, since I the boxes on the CCP customizeable screen are far from intuitive.
(ex. Name? Name of what? The char, my 7 code ID, anything I want?)

So presently I have no Evemon, which is a killer since I have come to rely on it so much.

CAK : Customizable API Key. So you can create multiple API keys with access only to what you want. And disable them at will.

https://support.eveonline.com/api for management.

Hit the create link.
Give it a name. This is purely so you can identify which one it is. Something like evemon would do.
Pick which character it's for, or leave it on all, if you want it to be usable for all your characters
Go through the checkboxes on the right hand side to set its access level. Using all of them isn't a bad idea with evemon. same as a full key.
Set a decent expiration date, or use the no expiry checkbox

Hit submit.

When using it with evemon, go to the add key page. use the id ( number in the first column), and the verification code (third column)

All done

Alternitively, use
https://support.eveonline.com/api/Key/CreatePredefined/134217727

to have it fill some bits in for you.

CAK stands for "Customizable API Key".
CCP is going to stop supporting the legacy API keys in a very short time.
Learn how to create CAK keys or follow instructions available in EVEMon's 'API Key Importation" window (links are provided).

Unfortunately for some EVEMon doesn't support Corp features yet. If more people where involved in developing EVEMon then maybe you have those feature sooner than expected.

So, where do I learn what each of the CAK options mean? I'm using EVEMon to monitor some corp members' training queues, so what can I tell them they need to select to provide me with the necessary access? I would like the equivalent of the Limited API Key but I have no idea how that maps onto the new structure.

TIA

This is still not working for me.

I go to the CCP site and do the following:

Name = Active
I generate a 64 bit verification code on the site.
I copy that verification code.

Under Char: I see the 3 chars associated with this account in the drop down menu, but select all.
I choose no expiry in the radio box.

I watch the mask change as I add various items to track with the API key.
I hit the submit button, which takes me back to the CCP CAK page.

I open up Evemon.
I go to upper left and go to Add API Key.

I type in the 7 digit acct ID which matched what was at the bottom of the CCP website and been associated with this acct forever.
The 64 bit code that was generated from the CCP website I then copy into the Verification code box in the API Key Importation box.
I hit "next".

Evemon works accessing the CCP site, then returns "Key has expired".

What gives?

Forget all about your AccountID. CAK keys work with ID and Verification Code now.

@Chrisandor
Open the "API Key Importation" window and click on the 'EVEMon features' link. That will give you an idea of what key you need.

When you say it works with "ID and Verification Code", what id are you referring to if it is not my 7 digit acct code ID?

The number to the left of your new API Keys with the column label "ID".

For the basic features (as mentioned on the link from the add api page) have them use this link to preset the bits they need.
https://support.eveonline.com/api/key/createpredefined/25559048

As for finding out what bits do what, click the question marks next to them on the create page for an explanation.

No industry information is being retrieved for an alt account. Can't see any research jobs going, and my API key has everything checked from top to bottom to ensure I'm not missing anything.

Make sure you aren't doing all those jobs for the corp your alt is in because it sound like you might be using a char or account key which can't access corp jobs plus EveMon hasn't been updated to use them yet as Desmont McCallock pointed out above.

I've had a tiny wee bit of trouble with getting my POS-based industry jobs to appear on EVEMon. Mentioned it here. Other than this, 1.5 seems really great.

It seems that I now need a corporate CAK to fetch API data on industrial jobs in Corp corp structures. This sucks, as I have all the roles I need to use corp structures in game, but need to be CEO or Director to set up a Corporate CAK. (I have some personal industry jobs running, and can see them fine.)

Have you guys got a work around for this yet, or is it totally CCP's fault? This was never a problem with the old API, and son, I am disappoint because i now need to load the client to check my jobs status - something i do obsessively via EVEMon.

Corporate industry jobs are only available via a Corporate API, which can only be set up by CEOs. This doesn't look like an EVEMon problem, but an oversight on CCP's part.

You can read about this here.

There are no checkboxes on the right.

This button doesn't do anything. Clicking on the "generate" link also does nothing.

Did CCP break their api page?

[i]edit[/i/ I tried to load it in IE instead of firefox and it worked - after I told IE to ignore all of the security warnings it threw up regarding invalid security certificates... Though the checkboxes are on the bottom of the page isntead of the right and the entire layout of teh page is ****** up - like most of what CCP codes...

It's not an oversight it was done so the CEOs and directors (which can also make corp keys) would have some actual control over whom, what and the when of corp data sharing outside of a corp. If you are in charge of managing something in a corp it shouldn't be that hard to have one of them make you the key you need. Many corps were largely unaware how many people had access to this data before and could unknowingly be sharing it. If I had ever been a corp spy I won't have even tried to become a Director or CEO in a corp just offered to fuel some POSes and help out with some building and mining and I'd have had all the intel I needed through the API to know where best to hurt them. I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of it either.
