I really like the UI-team! You made my experience soo much smoother already!
Now go and make me like you even more :)

I spoke to Karkur about this and she raised the point that if you have multiple pilots applying the same effect to you, which target is targeted by Ctrl-Click?

don't forget the fleet actions. e.g broadcast target, tag etc :)

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Is it possible on mouse over or click to highlight the entities on your overview?
Currently the EWAR symbols are a bit small and hard see at a glance in the heat of battle.

Using a current iteration as an example is the broadcast feature, which moves broadcasted targets to the top of the overview so that pilots can easily find the fleets target. Or a click which could actually broadcast the targets to fleet members (hotkey + click) which is already implement in the current overview.

If there were 3 target webbing you, shift click on the debuff which either:
- highlights the target (useful in small fleet fight where overview does not need to be scrolled)
- moves the three target to the top of the overview

Mouse over on the Debuff
Easily Identify each of the entities causing this effect

Slightly off topic, but still UI. Would it be possible to allow pilots to use highlighting for targeting rather then security or standings status? Identifying broadcasted targets by colour would be a great way to distinguish pilots in large battle other then the confusing and annoying calling by name.

'Everyone target yellow. Ok yellow is holding tank, switch to pink'

Colours could be assigned by the FC with either hotkeys or drop down menu or perhaps a keyboard modifier + click (Alt click) which brings up a colour drop down. Other MMOs use symbols to increase coordination of the team such as a triangle above a target, the colour on the overview would be beautiful.

to look that you are getting same effect from multiple ppl/mods display it with a number like on guns.
make it so as when you hover you mouse over the effect you will a rising meny where it stat what ship, range and name. like you are stacking icons on top of each other.

Make it so you will get info of the bonus you are getting. like for tracking link you are getting a measurable effect in tracking or range. same for target painter, remote sensor booster, stasis webifier and the other types that you are able to measurable.

display it some like this:

"pic of mod" pilot name, range, ship. you are getting a tracking increase by 30%(conut in stacking Penalty) that equals 0.1 in rad/sec.

Due to resource constraints we did a minimal implementation that is mean to be iterated on based on your feedback.

Currently it is only tracking negative effects directed against you (debuffs). The plan is to include more things if this goes well and include assist modules and possibly even damage dealt to you.

The immediate goal is to make aggression against you visible and help you react to those that do.

There is a lot we want to do more and we have scheduled time to iterate on this so please keep the comments coming.

While you are at it can you please add the UI mod tools into the game so info stacks down instead of a long line to the right and so we can have colorsBig smile

The bar needs to be movable and be able to stack verticly

For "target all the things", just set your Auto Target Back to 12 and you'll likely accomplish this without having to click anything!

you should know that's a very bad idea...
maybe with a very easy way to activate / desactivate the auto target, but even, i don't think it would works...

Sorry I must have forgotten to add the smiley devil face that indicates I was joking Twisted

While I applaud the concept the implementation looks pretty garbage from the screenshots.

Its unintuitive.
- Cant be used to see who is doing what.
- Cant be used to see how much of what is active on you.
- The timer takes up alot of realestate, also which mod is it referring to?
- It doesnt fit in with the rest of the ui.
- Cant be used to easily target.

Surely something like [ship type icon] [debuff (with timer like normal modules in circle around outside)]
would be more useful?

This way you could:
- See how many debuff each individual person has on you.
- See what ship each of them are flying.
- Target/broadcast each individual.
- Still retain timer information, with less realestate.
- Add a scrollbar like the overview if too many debuffs at same time

I would be nice if these effects wherent stacked up and each application would be thier own.

Alas I would hate to be a carrier at a shoot-ex.

hmm maybe if you mouse over it flys out then you can't cntl click one of the icons. and long as cntl is held freeze the fly out.

you could also have an option to disable flyout without cntl pressed that would drop some annoyances.

I swear I made a post..

anyways this bar is just the old one we had 5 years ago but better. The above post mirrors my own, you guys are suppose to be moving towards a clean powerful UI, the current bar is not something you'd see any other mmo re;ease, due to how embarrassing it looks and feels.

Take it back, finish it, there is a reason you removed the old one. It's useless as it is right now. you can't even tell what it is the timer is counting for.

My comments....

1. Add Buffs, but make the debuffs perhaps more prominent

2. Make sure theres a bubble (think iphone icon with items pending) on the icon for how many pilots are doing it to you 10ecm put 10 in the little bubble...

3. Ctrl+Click to target the user doing it sounds too easy if you dont do this i'll be SOOO sad.

4. More than 1 person doing it, show context menu when clicked with a tree of names, and clicking one targets that person

4a. or just have ctrl+click target the first X amount of people that you have open targetting spots for.

....

I LOVE the idea of mousing over it expanding the single debuff with number icon to a bunch of debuff icons below it with each person's name overlayed on it and u can ctrl+click to lock whichever one but i would think that would be a lot of extra UI work, perhaps an idea for down the road later.... ctrl+mouseover = drop down with people to select = nice

....

5. Overview Highlighting when moused over, i really love the idea recommended above for this, you can already do highlighting in UI, and i'd imagine it shouldn't be too hard to check whos causing the debuff, and when mouse over debuff, color those overview people a certain flashy color until mouse off (perhaps even a 5 second delay when u mouse off to get your cursor over to the overview.)

how about you just sit down with graphics, and to the proper rounded UI elements as they should be like the UI video shows! Please dont release this half done like this, the UI is supposed to be moving forward not backwards,

Please give us the option to select which buff and debuff effects are shown. For example, for friendly effects, most pilots in a fleet probably are not going to care who is sending them cap or remote repairs, so long as they stay alive. On the other hand, if I'm a Basilisk or a Guardian pilot, I may want to know who is (or is not) sending me cap. Similarly, a Drake pilot is not going to care whether or not he is being tracking disrupted. And as the number of potential status effect icons increases, so does the potential for sensory overload. This already occurs with the damage/status notification popups.

Also, please allow us to move the buff-debuff icons around, or at leastdisable them. I have the locked target list running down the bottom of the screen, right where the debuff icons show up, due to screen size constraints and convenience. If the status effect icons are left where they currently are, I will have to either move the locked target list into the center of what remains of my field of view (impractical), move the target list back up (inconvenient), or ignore the icons (annoying).

It may even be a good idea to create a movable panel for active effects, negative and positive, which can be filtered and sorted, and from which players can be locked or broadcasted, sort of like a pseudo-watchlist. It does not have to be a window. Maybe something more akin to the locked target list in format would be better.

It is on the whole a very good idea. But the implementation maybe could use a bit more refining.

unless you include a watch list of the crucial ship parameters and their current value, this notification bar has little additional value to what the current overview offers.

so pleae do a watch window that I can configure to show my list of ship paramaters (i.e. max speed, lock range, optimal range of a selected turret etc....) or a watch list that shows the final impact to the parameters like 100% lock range or 50% lock range ....

I would like to say I took a look at this. (I tried, I really did.) But as soon as I encountered some Sansha rats my entire ship control portion of the UI vanished and I could not get it back.

From the pics provided, I would say it looks like a good first step. But definitely not finished.

May have been reported elsewere, but on the current SiSi build, the icons persist even after the thing that was applying the ewar has been destroyed or switched targets.
