The central issue is that major depression (contemplating suicide) is extremely serious. Mittani confused real life with a game. He encouraged his thousands of followers to push that person to suicide.

Mittani must go.

I feel compassion for the Mittani because he has made his real name and appearance public. I suspect he will have to change his real name, because if any prospective employer Googles his name, I doubt they would want to employ him.

So it is in the Mittani's best interests to leave Eve and put the whole thing behind him.

FYI, GoonSwarm is far more successful at careers than you sperglords. For example, Stoffer and Darius Johnson partially owe their likelihoods to GoonSwarm that got them jobs at CCP. Whether his actions were good or bad doesn't matter at this point. Someone with the right media connections could pretty much gank CCP. The media does not care for complete accuracy in headlines. And they tend to push sensationalism in the first few paragraphs of stories, and then detail the facts as you read further in. Most people won't even think to dig for further details outside of what is presented to them in the news. Phrases like "Cyber bullying" have been thrown around in the past in association of suicides that *did* take place. Are people who fall for that sort of media engineering stupid? Maybe so, but the fact remains that this sort of thing could get blown way out of proportion, and misconstrued in a way that would cause a lot of trouble for CCP.

For all the talk about Sony, it should be noted that Sony has put money into preventing cyber bullying

Bad PR for Sony.

Unlikely all this will go anywhere, but the potential is delicious.
