New Map

Quick way to set destination

I would love to see a fast way to set you destination without having to bring up the map, such as a box you can toggle below your route in space. Then you can just type what you want, press enter and it sets that as your destination. I imagine this would also be easier on the server since many people just search a destination on the map and close it, yet it has to get all the map data from the server even though it's not really being used in this use case.

Try hitting the 'A' next to destination (top left)

Cant get much faster than that.

You can type the destination in chat (stations and systems alike), make it a link, enter it, then right click "set destination".

Suggestion: Give me a button to favorite stations from asset menu. Favoriting the station makes it easier to spot from the list by different color or something... This way I can find my way to where I want to go faster.

Keywords: Shortcuts, ui,

Notes: instead of opening ship fittings then clicking Browes. Just let us open the browes window

  • Suggestion: Have D-Scan use "Custom Camera Tracking" position instead of ship's center of POV (or have a toggle for it)
  • Keywords: ui, d-scan, camera
  • Note: A toggle on D-Scan window to use/not use "Custom Camera Tracking" would also be great

Now we have option to use "Custom Camera Tracking" position. This option is great, as we don't have to overlap our own ship against the ship/object we want to look at (great for skirmish PvP, hunting for targets, etc).

Meanwhile, D-Scan pin-pointing has been greatly improved, with "Camera Tracking": select to object you want to scan at, and the camera automatically pans there. But that only works when your camera tracking is centered on the ship.

Two awesome features, but they can't be used together X. Please don't make me chose between them.

Suggestion: fleet bookmarks

Keyword: bookmarks

Note: quite simple. Start a fleet, can assign bookmarks for the fleet under the fleets bookmark folder. Once fleet disbands, bookmark folder is wiped out. It's temporary in other words. Quality of life increase for players and fleets. Also not my idea. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=261525

Suggestion: Put a yellow/red ring over the locked targets icon or over the name. This happens for overview, or inspace brackets, but sometimes the view is not zoomed out or the overview is clusterfudged, but its still useful to know if your locked targets are redboxing or yellowboxing you.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before (no doubt it has), but the ability to fit from the saved load out fittings at an SMA would be great. Not sure if there is a genuine reason for not implementing it (or if it will even be a thing with new sov changes)

Suggestion: Use ISO format for dates

Keywords ui, date format

Note: At least next remap available uses strange format yyyy.mm.dd. From wikipedia, only 4 countries use that (Basque Country, Korea, Latvia, Mongolia). Could you instead use yyyy-mm-dd as stated in the nice internet standard.

  • Suggestion: Beside the "Show Anomalies"-Checkbox there should be a "Show Signatures"-Checkbox in the probe scanning window
  • Keywords: probe scanning window
  • Note: Would be easier to see only anomalies in small scale probe scanning windows

Suggestion: add a "Split into stacks of N" option to the shift-drag popup.
Keywords: UI, inventory

Fairly self-explanatory - right now if I want to create multiple equal stacks, I need to do a lot of repetitive actions. Having such an option would greatly simplify this inventory management task.

Suggestion: Remove limit on number of JCs per station

Keywords: Jump clone, jump clones, JC, JCs

Note: Currently you can have one jump clone stored in a station and one medical clone. If you try to jump to a third clone leaving behind two JCs you will overwrite and destroy the JC in the departing station.
I feel this is something not unlike clone grades which does not provide meaningful gameplay. For players who live in one system (like myself) and have multiple clones with different implant sets (such as slave/crystal/snake sets) having to juggle stations to get into the correct clone is a pain.
The ability to have all JCs stored in a single station seem to provide an advantage other than ease-of-use. As far as I can see, no tactical advantage would be gained.

From a lore perspective where thousands of capsuleers can install fast amounts of JCs together in the one station. Each individual pilot can have thousands of ships. Yet the station services allow an arbitrary maximum of one clone?

I've cross posted this to reddit for discussion: http://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/39qbxe/little_things_suggestion_remove_the_1_jump_clone/

Just started doing some hacking.

For some reason, I found that containers not auto-opening upon completion of a hack is extremely annoying.

So, simple suggestion.
When completing a hack, the container is automatically opened, assuming you're within range.

Suggestion: Append a number to the end of newly assembled containers
Keywords: inventory, containers
Note: Secure Cargo Container (1), ..., Secure Cargo Container (x).
---
It can get confusing when you assemble a bunch of containers to put stuff in before knowing what you're going to put in them and name accordingly.

Suggestion: Add additional context menu options for items in containers/ships.
Keywords: inventory, rigs, rigged ship, containers, ui
Note: View Market Details being the obvious one.
---
It can be pretty tedious showing info on each item then view market details on the info.

Suggestion: Show rig names in warning box when repackaging a ship
Keywords: ship, rigs, ui
Note:
---
Repackaging multiple rigged ships at once would be nice too.

Suggestion: Enable copying details of selected blueprints in industry UI
Keywords: industry, ui, blueprints
Note:
--
It worked on the old blueprint viewer. It can be awkward to contract blueprints to yourself to check details sometimes.

Suggestion: Add ME/TE numbers to the compact list
Keywords: industry, ui, blueprints
Note: The ME/TE bars are very long.

Suggestion: In the blueprints tab of the industry UI, move "Item Hangar" to the top of the location drop-down menu.
Keywords: industry, ui, blueprints
Note: It's somewhere in the middle and awkward to find.

Suggestion: Add a visual variation or name to decryptors on the material list when installing invention jobs.
Keywords: industry, ui, invention
Note: They all look the same and you have to hover to make sure the right one is installed.

All fixed!

  • Suggestion: Add a skill(s) for issuing additional contracts.
  • Keywords: contract market skill
  • Notes: Here are some ideas for skills that mirror the market order skills:

Fine Print (rank 2) - adds 8 contracts per level
Skill in filling the borders and margins of contracts with endless terms and conditions on a scale that even nanotech engineers find impressive.
Prerequisite: Contracting 5

Contract Law (rank 4) - adds 16 contracts per level
Skill in applying local laws and legal precedents that favour your contract dealings.
Prerequisite: Fine Print 5

Legalese (rank 6) - adds 32 contracts per level
Skill in burying contracts in meaningless legal jargon so effectively that nobody dares to contest their validity.
Prerequisite: Contract Law 5

In advance of Aegis - I could post after release, but rather do now....

Suggestion: Please add the option for fc's or squad commanders to fleet warp those in there fleet/squad (respectively)
Keywords: Fleets, Quality of Life, working mechanic that was removed but shouldn't have been (for reasons not really explained entirely)
Notes: Preemptive strike to the impending removal of fleet warp that will almost certainly go through regardless of the negative impacts the change creates, which are all posted in the feedback thread.

Suggestion: Color the entire row for the next gate in your destination yellow instead of just the icon
Keywords: visibility, travel, Overview

Notes: Right now the icon for the next system on your waypoint list is the only thing that is colored yellow. I personally have had trouble for a long time to see that faint yellow on the black background. The problem even worse now with the new icons and I personally removed them from my overview and that leaves me with no fast way to identify what the next gate on my destination is.

I would like to see the entire row colored yellow for the next gate in line.

Suggestion: Add a button to center your scanning probes on your current position.
Keywords: Scanning, UI, Probes

Notes: With the upcoming nerf to combat probing (inability to fleet warp to combat probes results), it is time to implement something that would be very handy, and not matter as much for game balance as it would have before. A new button on the scanning interface to center your probes on yourself.
