I was wondering, would it be possible to have a feature where the item costs tab is combined for all the characters that you have in the application? i noticed that if i go from my main toon to a new character i created a few days ago, my long item cost list that i had created on my main toon is empty on my other character.

Also, would it be possible to have a feature where you can readjust the columns on the different tabs automatically to all the same size, and for example make the size automatically fit with the best settings that will show all the different columns at their best appearance? Something similar to what jEveAssets has in their program. That would be very helpful.

I dont know if this is important or not, but i have chickens.....

There is an option in the preferences to allow cost sharing. I can make columns automatically resize always but that will turn off manual resizing. Now I try to resize on update and allow manual control later. Is some tab not doing that?

Hello, I am having some problems with getting this running for the first time. I get these error messages:

http://a.pomf.se/mmguxd.png
http://a.pomf.se/tqqmxx.png

This is after a fresh install of 1.25-64bit on win7 and I've tried deleting the app data stuff but the error persists. Do you know what I should do?

Have you used and uninstalled a previous version some time ago? Maybe the registry entries didn't get deleted. To solve this open regedit.exe, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\evernus.com and delete everything there.

Thank you for the quick response. I did install this some time last year and the old registry entries were still there. Everything works now. Thanks.

Hi there,

First of all I would like to thank you for this amazing tool, you must've put a lot of work into it. I used Mentat for a long time but since it's not updated anymore it lacks some important features.

I have some questions if that's ok with you:
- any progress on a more "trusted" crest authentication method? I have to say your goonswarm ticker doesn't instill trust :))

- the script feature is just amazing and I need it regularly. Is there a way to save the code so I don't have to type it in every time I open the app? If there is not I may suggest a "Save Filter" "Load Filter" option.

More precisely I'm trying to filter only the orders that are overbid but this proves to be difficult. The formula for price difference is not the same for "Buy" and "Sell" so the same code doesn't work for both. Any ideas?

- the "Price Difference %" on what conditions does it calculate? It's not showing for any of my orders excep one that has the status "No Price Data"

- I haven't seen any complaints in the thread so it must be just me, but can the numbers be aligned to the right? I find them really hard to read when I have very different numbers

150,000,000
35,000

As opposed too
150,000,000
____35,000

It's already here. Click the big "external browser" button in the CREST login window.

The filters are saved automatically. You can expand the combo to see them or start typing to make the autocompletion work.

Can you show the script you are using?

It's the price difference divided by custom cost.

I already inputed my account details, is there a way to remove the permission for access?

My bad, I found it.

order.overbid.diff <0 && order.overbid.diffRatio <0.1

That is the code I am using. The problem is that this code only works for buy orders, when I use it for the sell orders it returns the ones that are ok (or already overbid by me).

So it's just me? :D

Also is there an option to keep the column size fixed? It seems to reset itself on restart.

Thank you for your time!

You can try Math.abs(order.overbid.diff) > 0 && Math.abs(order.overbid.diffRatio) <0.1

What's not to trust? Are you afraid he will steal your credentials and hack your account? If you are, or you have evidence that people are doing this, you should probably report that information directly to CCP. Hacking someone's account is no joke and if you know something, say something.

E: And now for a real question, I am trying to do a CREST market data import, and what happens is the entire program locks up. I've got a very good computer, Intel i5 4670k, 16GB DDR2133 RAM, etc. and when I try to do a market data import (on the Market Analysis tab) from CREST, I select the button for select all regions except wormholes, and I check all the boxes except for the DUST514 items. When I hit the button to fetch the data, the whole application locks up, and in task manager it says it is using <50% of my CPU and 4.9GB of RAM is in use by the application. I let it sit like this for over 2.5 hours, and it did not produce any results, what am I doing wrong?

For the record, I've never used Evernus before and am rather new to trading, so forgive me if I missed a step.

Thank you for the info, I found the options you specified. The script does the job better than my own, the only problem is that orders I haven't been overbid on appear too.

Locks up as in Windows reports it stopped responding or is the active tasks window just hanging there? Importing everything from every region takes A LOT if time and memory, but 2h seems rather large. Although I never actually tried to import literally everything. Importing everything from sinq laison takes about 10 minutes. Also, have you selected not saving imported orders?

Probably a precision issue. Try to adjust those numbers a bit.

I can't seem to get the "Costs / Auto add custom item costs on fulfilled buy order" option to work. I've checked the box in preferences, but it doesn't seem to do anything. For example: I just placed a buy order for qty 1 of a particular ship type, and that buy order was fulfilled. It shows up in the "Transactions" history, but it's never added to my Custom Costs list... so when I place a Sell order for that item it shows up as having a 100% margin / 100% profit and throws all the numbers way off... until I go and find it manually in the transaction list, right-click and Add to Custom Costs. It's a pain to do that for every item ever though so it would be wonderful if I could get the auto-add feature working.

On a side note, is there some way to have Evernus automatically calculate Custom Cost for each item based on the *average* of all previously recorded Buy transactions for that item? That would be infinitely more useful I think, because the price that I pay for each item frequently changes continuously over time as buy/sell orders get updated against the competition. What I'm really interested in is "how much did my current stock cost me on average/overall". A good example of this would be if I bought 500 Light Neutron Blaster II's for 200k ISK each, and then later I bought 10 more for 500k ISK each. It wouldn't make sense to change my "cost" for that item to 500k when I paid a lot less for the vast majority of my stock. Make sense?

Anyway, love the program and any suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Actually the cost is computed as you describe, but for some reason it doesn't work for you. Are you using corp or personal orders? Was the buy order visible as active before it became fulfilled? Also, if you select the fulfilled order in the buy orders tab, does the transaction list at the bottom show any transactions?

Personal orders only. Buy orders definitely active before being fulfilled. And yep, if I select the fulfilled orders in the buy orders tab, the transaction list shows the transactions.

That's very strange then. Are you sure no costs are being filled? For any order or just specific ones? And a standard question - are you absolutely sure the checkbox is checked in the preferences?

Edit: another scenario came to mind. Are you using different characters? Maybe cost sharing is disabled in the preferences?

I just double-checked and I definitely have the box checked next to "Auto add custom item costs on fulfilled buy order*" and also the "Share costs between characters" box checked. In fact, here's a screenshot of my preferences screen: http://i.imgur.com/4iMB1rM.png

I am using multiple characters and I have APIs loaded for all, but I really only do my trading buy/sell on one of them. I mean, all of the buy/sell transactions are showing up in the Wallet transaction history correctly, so Evernus knows about them for sure. I've been working around it by going to the "Character Transactions" screen and finding the transaction where I bought a set of items, right-clicking on it and selecting "Add to item costs".

If I don't do that though, nothing *ever* shows up in the "Item Costs" tab and all of my Sell orders show up with 100% margin 100% Profit on the Buy/Sell screen.

As a test I just went to Item Costs and used "Remove All" to wipe the list of costs that I had previously added manually so it's completely blank now. I have a whole bunch of small orders pending so I'll wait until a few of them have fulfilled and see if anything shows up in the Item Costs list. Do I have to wait until the entire order is completed or is a partial transaction enough?

Thanks! Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to try or test.

Costs are computed when the whole order gets fulfilled. You can also select multiple transactions and add them to costs with only one click - the result will be a weighted average. Although, I really hope the cost will compute itself as supposed to.

Side note: did you resize the preferences window? Some controls seem a bit squashed.

Cool, I'll wait until a handful of Buy orders get fulfilled and then I'll report back. I have a decent number of 1 item or small quantity orders up at the moment so hopefully a few will complete before too long.

That's great news about being able to select/add multiple transactions in one shot and ended up with a weighted average -- that's awesome, didn't know it would do that. Hopefully we can figure out how I managed to break the automatic thing, but if not that will be a lot better than what I was doing as a workaround.

Also nah I didn't resize the preferences window, that's how it opens by default. I can resize it after it opens to make it taller and it unsquashes the controls, but if I close it and reopen it again it just goes back to the squashed default. I'm running Evernus on my laptop which has a 1600x900 resolution screen, if that makes any difference.
