Here I'll respond. The idea is for you not to be able to use a rorqual with 10 ly range and 90% jump fatigue to be able to deploy towers like you are currently capable of doing. Deploying towers is not the same as fueling them.

As someone that lives in null, but has never flown a cap before - these changes seem very reasonable. I would be way more willing to risk my carrier/dread in the future, if the threat of [insert random bored hotdroppers from other side of the universe here] was not there 24/7.

Damn that's allot of softening up ... Hope it's more a temporary softening for transition's sake.

If you're going to boost the range on JFs, consider reducing the fatigue reduction factor from 90% to 80% or 75%. The added range still makes long-ranged logistics possible, but the increased fatigue accumulation makes the decision to use a JF nontrivial.

Will a Prorator going through a covert ops jump portal double dip in fatigue bonuses, or will it take the highest fatigue reduction modifier?

Are we looking at just the 90% from the hull, or will it reduce the fatigue to 50% through the black ops bridge and then to 5% through the hull bonus?

Yes but it has zero chance to stop a super who does have an escape cyno ready, and the super can tank on the out gate until one is in place.
So what if the supercap pilots with an escape cyno ready - get away. Preparation rewarded - good for them. The only thing changing is super's can use gates. Because of that new choice, which should invite casual solo movement - If no changes are made - I think HIC's will be catching more unscouted, unprepared supercap pilots than they do today.

Thanks for finally stating your actual changes, As of now, i will be moving all my assets from 35 accounts back to lowsec, where i will sell them off and give the isk away, and finally sell my characters for rock bottem prices, as I no longer wish to play this game anymore. Archeage, here I come!

Also, the Marjor Sea battles in archeage are more entertaining...

It just sucks that even though you say you're not happy with nullsec industry and are looking to change it, you somehow manage to decide to revert the changes that would have helped, to be nothing more than a very minor inconvenience, remove basically any extra risk that may have came with the original proposal, and slow them down hardly at all.

Basically, leaving them not significantly effected by this.
A slight slap on the wrist as if to say "We watching you, even if we we're not going to do anything!"

I wish they would have been able to do it all in one go, but CCP has better access to the data than we do, and better access to the guys that actually run the null blocs. I'm betting that things were de-nerfed because of that. I'm also pretty confident that it had a lot more to do with nullsec resource availability than anything else - CCP Greyscale's OP in this thread clearly stated that they're not happy with how nullsec logistics is currently done, but that systems aren't in place that would have allowed nullsec to function with a 5LY JF.

It sucks, and it really sucks that those of us who were most excited about the implications of such a severe logistics nerf got their shiny toy taken away. It also means that they can't ***** when the changes DO come through.

It'll happen, just ain't happening now.

The 'amendments' are so great that either CCP Greyscale et al had absolutely no idea what they were doing with the first set of proposed changes, or they have given in to the rage quit folk.

Both of which are bad.

If this is the case, then the Rorqual restriction misses its mark entirely. New tower set up is the one case where a Jump Freighter is actually preferred to a Rorqual. Rorquals are for the maintenance of existing towers.

+1 for this changes now Logistics guys will not shoot themselves in the head but only in the foot leaving them a bit cripple
but they will adapt and will actully have time to do more fun things in game (compering this with the original anounced changes)

+1 on Black ops (they are suposed to go behind enemy lines) having bigger range - better movement than capital fleets

considering the history of CCP going ahead of changes regardless of the rage quit folk, it seems the former is more likely!

With all this forum hype i figured i'd try it out. It's free so why not.

But ... It's just another slam the buttons in the same pattern over and over again mmo. If grinding is what you fancy, well i don't know what to say to that.

Thanks Greyscale. These look like a really positive set of balancing changes. Many of us are really looking forward to the new meta that reducing capital mobility will bring to the game.

E: For those of you still determined to quit the game (despite having b**ched about the state of null sec for years and now having trolled yourselves into leaving before seeing the actual impact of the changes) Please feel free to contract me your stuff.

Was any conversation done in regards to carriers as a logistics ship? Any chance we will see a tier two jump freighter or have the rorqs sma unrestricted?

Have there been changes to death-clone camping, or did I miss that in a different thread?

Death clone camping is handled by the new medical clone changes that are being implemented right now. The short version is that you'll always be able to intentionally revoke your clone contract somewhere and have it reset to your rookie system.

wait what, where is this

Just on my computer at the moment Bear

We're still working out the exact details of this, but you'll see more next week on the test server.

Any plans to enhance clone vat bays? Like a pos mod would do wonders for deep stain livin
