1) You will note a weird effect with the background. Due to the more subtle bubble effect the low-paralaxe background now appears to be in the foreground when flying inside the bubble. That is irritating.

2) The less whirly, less dynamic appearance of the bubbles nerfs the confusing effect for trapped victims considerably. I think that is a shame since the confusion effect was a nice use of graphics to implement game mechanics. With the new effect the graphics are just (nice) decorations.

Hi, thanks for the comments, regarding point 1, in your video I can still see alot of parallax between the blueish effects and the nebula itself. Please let me know if you're talking about something else.

When it comes to item number 2, good point but the overall idea was to have a less hectic effect.

I saw that effect too. The stars look to be in front of the bubble. Its like the haze from the galactic plane obscures the bubble effect, which visually places the galaxy in front of the bubble.

The parallax that is there does nothing to eliminate the effect. The galaxy ends up looking like a smudge on the camera lens, something you got to look through to see the bubble.

With the tactical overlay it is not soooo difficult.

However, an indicator above the HUD, like the other ewar/scram indicators would be a handy addition. Problem is probably server traffic to query position relative to bubble each time. (Maybe this can be delegated to the client for the purpose of the indicator?)

Would it be possible to increase the contrast in the market selection screen? Right now it goes from dark grey -> grey -> slightly lighter grey

Love the new Golem, include the cockpit

Just got a problem with launchers, how can a cruise missile pass throught the wing ? O_o
The Bastion Mode is quite soft, I expected a whole more for this.



Good work for the warp / command ship etc etc :)

Can I make a suggestion of making the background nebula different for tech 2 variants? like Drake vs Nighthawk, so it would be easier to tell apart which kind you have locked.

Framerate in the captains quarters stutters now.

Also noticed that you can't access the ship viewer when in the CQ view (you need to switch to hanger view)

Also you might want to make the ship services minimize when viewing the ship tree as I find it's in the way.

you know I was going to get a ticket to EVE Vegas tonight, -just- for the opportunity to get my hands on a raven model and paint it as a golem. I was on the fence about it, but now I feel not the slightest desire

plan B was offering to buy a raven model from someone who attends, to save myself the logistics of getting my body there... I don't feel like doing that either

you should've waited til after EVE Vegas to put the new golem model on Sisi--you would've trolled me 3x as hard with it.

If someone could get around to optimizing gate haven graphics so they don't hog processing power and raise card temperatures drastically for when Rubicon comes out, I would be extremely happy.

I have weird glitches with the lines in the star map. They are only showing from certain angles. The lines themselves are blury and scratchy. There seems to be some coherence if labels are on or off.

Dunno where you got the idea that it should be a low priority. Given that they are not adding anything to the CQ there is no excuse for it not working as before.

Window and animation refresh / response rate is very slow, like the back-end is taking a long time to respond, feels stuck in the mud. This seems to be across both the UI and the Main render so am posing it here rather than the UI thread. Things like the warp tunnel animation not being well synced to the audio and background animation.

The reload animation is the big one, it start's about 8s in to a 10s reload cycle, like it's taking a long time to load the asset or something.

Also as others have noted, the new build is having my GPUs running hot, about 4C higher than the current TQ build for equivalent settings.
Most of the extra load is coming from the Shaders it looks like.
