Hi guys

I am a gamer but I hate gambling, card games, casinos in general... So Vegas does not have much attraction to me.

Appart of the Grand Canyon, what is interesting to see in Vegas? Will there be events like fan fest organised there by CCP?

Is there an other EVE Online event in north America, ideally in New England, I could attend?

If not, it would be cool that CCP organise something official, for example along with PAX East in Boston. There was a small get together this year, but a real EVE event would be nice.

As a local, I can tell you there is plenty of other entertainment sources besides gambling. Various shows, the Strip and its many entertainment venues, shopping, hoover dam. There is the Springs Preserve and Mt Charelston for the outdoorsy types, and plenty of shooting ranges that rent out guns, to include fully automatics. With all of the rain we have had, the hiking is quite nice, not to mention things have cooled down a lot. The Freemont experience is also pretty neat.

Also, if you are from the east or midwest, try In-N-Out for a distinct and tasty burger. I won't say its the best burger, but it certainly is good and 1 of a kind. Fresh. Oh, and of course the many other dinning options at your disposal.

Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world. There is plenty aside from gambling.

Sounds nice! Finally I will come, and bring my 22 year old daughter with me! We will stay up to monday then take a flight to San Diego for the rest of the week...

So, lets say I live in the area, what would I have to buy? I sure don't need a hotel room or airfare. Just for the reception then?

The reception ticket will just get you into saturday nights party but not the event itself

Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino is pleased to welcome the Eve Vegas Event.

Group room rates for the night of Friday, October 18, 2013 through Sunday, October 20, 2013 are based upon hotel availability until Wednesday, September 18, 2013. A credit card is required at the time of booking and a deposit equal to one night's room and tax will be charged. Notice of cancellation must be received 72 hours prior to your arrival date, in order to receive a full refund of your deposit.

You ran out of time and they probably ran out of availability well before September 18 (I know when I booked mine a few days ago the $99 rate was no longer available).

Hi everyone,

This is the first time for me attending this event. A mate of mine is also interested in going too. Can anyone advise what the workshops cover? I see there are two speakers listed on the web page. However, I am trying to learn what occurs over the course of the two days.

Pity, last time he was able to extend the room block, guess that won't happen this year :(

However it does include the roof top party on the Saturday evening with an open bar, free spaceship, tshirt and so on. So its worth the expenditure.

As is the extra 99 for the pub crawl too.

Who wouldn't want to have an open bar, and the chance to be swung around at 40mph over almost a thousand feet of nothing? Big smile

True! There's actually quite a bit of extras included in this year's ticket so it's super good value :)

Reading over the devblog, it seems that this year will be outdoing the previous years. Not sure how that is possible, but always need a goal right?

I just tried to purchase an additional pub crawl and reception ticket, but no dice. Paypal seems not to be processing this anymore (tried multiple CC that are all working). Anyone else having issues or is it just my karma?

Edit: Must have been karma or Paypal vomiting on itself...all fixed up now.

Anyone want to get the drinking going early-ish? I will be in Friday morning.

All fixed the rooms are available again.

To those of you who booked at a higher rate we've adjusted your rooms back to $99 as well!
