Where in the source thread does it state this?

I have reworded this to sound more like what CCP Tallest said in post #7 of the source thread. Thanks.

Excellent work Nar Tha! I have given the link to all my corp mates. It is an excellent resource for those who haven't been following along with the dev posts and blogs. Cheers!!

Thx, nice page.

Sry to say i really don't like how ccp lowers skill reqs more and more removing all long term goals. i'm all for getting noobs into vaiable ships to do stuff, but removing all lvl5 skills for even the largest ships in the game is mehh...even more capital online gameplay.

Nice, blatantly ignoring the fact that capital training times will remain virtually identical.

Not to mention, noobs flying caps can't be a bad thing.....Twisted

Hello everyone.

I have been working on collecting all information to everything that changes in Odyssey, be it from forum posts, dev blogs, Fanfest presentations or Sisi testruns of other players and myself.

The result is this: http://neural-boost.com/odyssey

Every bit of the relevant info is there, but there are also allways links to the sources, where you can read how the info was originally released.
Please let me know if you find something missing or to be false. I will update this frequently.

The article is part of a site I'm working on, that focuses on game development news on EVE and Dust. It is work in progress though, so it might be a bit buggy.

Great work.

Why is it that the community has to write its own patch notes?

I can understand releasing information on aspects of an upcoming expansion slowly as things get confirmed or to put things out for discussion one at a time. But surely it cant be that hard for CCP to keep an 'Official' running tally as it were of what is in the expansion?

Having to scour live video blogs, written blogs, fanfest videos, forum posts and then the hated pit of desperate ego building that is social media, I dont see how the player base is supposed to keep track?

So I thank you Nar Tha for doing all the donkey work and creating such a fine collection of information.

CCP Falcon is currently putting together the official patch notes of all features, changes and fixes.

Features can be added and removed right up to the last minute so we prefer to put up as concrete a list as possible close to the release date.

Don't you think perhaps next time round you should put up the patch notes at least a month before the actual patch release? What's the point of doing all this work now?

Are you kidding? (Seriously, are you? Can't tell.)

Patch notes written up a month ago would be massively inaccurate. They've been honing the release and changing things all month.

I am certainly not kidding. It is beyond me how 30 days prior to patch release is considered a long time and that the patch notes would be massively inaccurate. This is a patch that's being worked on for 12+ months. The last month should be testing and re-testing and making minor adjustments.

That does not prevent CCP having a disclaimer in there stating that some features may not find their way in the final patch, or that there could be changes - this is perfectly understandable. But having to look for information on the Odyssey changes in the various DEV posts - while at the same time a dedicated Odyssey page does exist - I find to be bad time management by CCP.

What you are looking for is a page to tell you which features are likely to be added. Patch notes are there to tell you what the patch you get are REALLY doing. So the patch notes will be published once the patch is there with all last minute fixes and buts ironed out.

A separate "up coming features" list would help to know what is awaiting us. The official Odyssey expansion website should provide that info, unfortunately I can't find it right now.

Also Nar Tha, under the Ice Harvesting section you've only listed details about the ice anomalies in that the highsec ones will hold 2500 units of ice.
Here's a bit more detail on that:

Hey everyone. We're updating SISI now with Odyssey, and it's not quite going to have our latest Ice designs in this build. So I wanted to give a clear update on our plans here so you all don't get confused by the numbers live on SISI today.

Here's what we currently have planned for the volumes of ice in each Ice Anomaly:

Highsec:
2500 units of standard racial ice.

Lowsec:
3000 units of standard racial ice
400 units of Glare Crust

Nullsec with weak truesec (0.0 to -0.5):
3000 units of improved racial ice
400 units of Glare Crust
500 units of Dark Glitter
200 units of Gelidus

Nullsec with strong truesec (-0.5 to -1.0):
3500 units of improved racial ice
400 units of Glare Crust
1000 units of Dark Glitter
300 units of Gelidus
250 units of Krystallos

As mentioned before, these belts will appear in systems that currently have ice belts, and will respawn four hours after they are depleted.

We're also adjusting the composition of Krystallos to bring it out of the gutter and help ensure enough ozone supply:
Heavy Water: 125 (+25)
Liquid Ozone: 500 (+250)
Stront: 125 (+25)

I am looking at something as close as possible to the fantastic job the OP did - which in fact came well before CCP's official feature list! (just to prove my point)

I agree that perhaps "patch notes" is not the correct use of words, thank you for pointing that out.

But really CCP needs to move away from it's start-up mentality. Rambling in dev posts is interesting at best, but at the same time is light years away from the serious commitment a concise list of feature requires.

Oh, wow I totally forgot to check the individual subforums for additional info. I will work my way through them now and update the article with everything I find (including those details on ice).

Clarification needed please.

The patch note says Concord standings & security status will be reset. Does this mean if I'm -10 I will get a clean slate on patch day & say a bear with 5.0 will be set to zero?

If you are -10.0 now, you will have -10.0 sec status and +/- 0.0 standing towards CONCORD (which is of no use as of yet) after the patch.

If you are +5.0 now, you will have +5.0 sec status and +/- 0.0 standing towards CONCORD after the patch.

Uh, the page is pretty clear on what this means. I'll even repost it here.

Quote:

Currently, CONCORD Standing and Sec Status are the same thing. They will get split in a three step process when the patch goes live, like this:

Each character gets a new Security Status attribute in the DB.
The (unmodified) CONCORD->character standing is copied in to the new Security Status attribute.
All CONCORD->character standings will be wiped.

All gameplay systems that affect security status will then use that newly created database attribute.

I don't see it in there but SIsi has hot keys for tagging on overview, individual hot keys for specific tags, and the ultra awesome single hotkey that cycles through tags in order.
