Launcher not working? - LOOK HERE

No it doesn't , at least for me and running as Admin too :-/

I'm using window 7/64 by the way... and it works...

where do I find this repair tool, it's not in my eve directory

I see this every time I run repair.exe as administrator which is now close to 10 times.


Well wouldn't you know right after I posted this message repair.exe works and I can get in now via exefile.exe. Launcher still doesn't work but who cares about that.

I can launch the game with the exe file, but can't log in. And the repair tool doesn't seem to be working.

C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile.exe or whereever Eve is installed and bypass the launcher all together

The patch there is from CCP itself and it's the same package that comes from patch server itself. Just hang tight then, CCP will fix this eventually through they're own patch server. I just saw need to write this here so people don't need to petition everything. Contributing with my best Blink

I can't discuss the details, but I will point out there is a 17 day gap in my posting history, so trust that I've got good reason to recommend patience and not trying a quick fix.

I'll wait for CCP to fix it, and download the entire client again if necessary, even if I can't play for a few days. Ugh

Also, once the new launcher works for you and you login, all settings are reset essentially. You can however run your eve.exe and have all your old settings and shortcuts as they were....


you just need to close the client and reopen it again from the launcher and your settings are magically back

Seriously, run repair and wait...

It does work, my son had his running and it took it 29 minutes to launch and appear

then ur doing it wrong

1 repair the game
2 open the bin folder
3 right click the eve.exe file and run as admin

thats worked on loads of players game so far i have helped

This starts the client for me, but where it lists the server and player numbers, the server correctly reads as Tranquility, but the player numbers part reads 'Incompatible (Version)'.

For what its worth I opened EVE via the shortcut as I always do this morning and it worked fine first time with no issue. Hope this helps.

Also, running the repair tool does nothing. It seems to start, but no window pops up or anything, and I have to kill the process to get it to run again.

On a matter of principal I refuse to mess around with settings.

I want to just double click the Eve short cut and be taken into the game clean and simple, that is what I pay a subscription for.
