Launcher not working? - LOOK HERE

I'd appreciate knowing what the command was in the shortcut that was failing for you. I was working on issues relating to invalid working directories from shortcuts recently so if there's any more I would like to know what they were.

Well the new launcher just borked my eve, it won't connect

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

CCP why is everytime you are trying 'UPGRADE' Launcher - something like this happened. I have two computers at home - BOTH have problem connecting to EVE now. Why are you doing this??

The client says something like 'Incompatible Protocol' - Launcher refused to launch or update.. what is wrong here?

Mine updated, but the launcher just says it's in 'Offline' Mode'. restarting the launcher has no effect.

After Updating, my Launchers have a Title Bar, but the interface is blank white. I can do nothing.

Yup same here. No errors or anything, it simply says the server is offline and offers me the option to restart the launcher, which has done nothing.

I have exactly the same problem - after manually applying the patch as the OP suggested. Obviously I have internet connection since I can post this message.

CCP please help and look into this issue.

People having issues, find your eve dir/folder, run the eve.exe directly, bypass the sh!t launcher and login...

Also, once the new launcher works for you and you login, all settings are reset essentially. You can however run your eve.exe and have all your old settings and shortcuts as they were....

Running Repair.exe fixed my "not connecting" issue.

Macintosh Launcher update issue

heh, used the repair tool, then ran launcher as admin.

Now I'm logging into EVE.

Also, after the blank Launcher comes up, Firefox opens up to the Open DNS website with this in the search bar:

I downloaded the launcher update but the launcher still says that I'm not connected with the Internet and I need to restart my launcher.
Nothing of the in this thread mentioned things worked.

I was able to launch directly without the launcher via a shortcut on my desktop.
I haven't tried to patch it yet though.

I'll try this ... I had a temporary fix using the patcher that gets me in.
