Ive been drunk alot of times too, ive said some very bad things to people when drunk. Ive also gotten into fights and hurt people. It isnt big, it isnt clever, but its what happens when you put mind altering chemicals into your system. Anyone who says that being drunk doesnt make you do stupid things is either A: Lying, or B: Never been drunk.

Wow don't ever want you in my defense. That does not make it an excuse. You hurt ppl but thats ok because you where drunk What? F**k me ????

No, I quite clearly state that it ISNT ok. I am saying that what you do when drunk isnt what you do when you are not drunk, answering the people who are saying who you are when drunk is the real you.

You are right, you probably dont want me in your defense, I am not fond of defending stupid people.

You where defending ppl being drunk, if not what was the point of your post ?

Clearly posts are not meant to be read or understood. That would require critical thinking skills and the like.

Why bother when the guy proves himslf an ass in the first sentence

To me thats like saying.. I have no sympathy for those who have cancer

Suicidal tendencies are an illness in the same way.

Why bother listening when he already proved he has nothing real or relevant ot say

Serious question. Do you read the things your write back to yourself as you write them? I have a hard time believing that you wrote something like that after considering it honestly.

Also, your "first sentence" is pretty ironic. Apparently your post contains no content worth reading either. Certainly they couldn't be using a commonly used lead in phrasing or literary common phrase. No sir, he must just be a moron, better not read the post to find out.

lol... WTF do you care anyhow

One thing people need to take into account, he made a mistake we all have.

He has admitted his mistake and apologised.

The miner in question is alive and well, playing eve as normal.

If he was to resign it would cause far more damage than currently, as The Mittani is a major part of the CSM.

+1 to apology and you have my support Mittani.

Yes. Any reporting of the Mitanni's actions is clearly not at all the fault of the person who carried out said actions. Also, the bad feelings aroused by the Murdoch press hacking phones is entirely due to the newspaper that broke the story. After all, those people wouldn't feel bad if they didn't know their phones were being hacked. Damn this free flow of information that makes people responsible for their own actions! Dammit I say!

No, this probably would have been shrugged off as a very drunk guy in a purple wizard hat saying something stupid. The most attention it would have gotten would be 'trolls gonna troll' and business would have continued as usual. No one would have remembered this a week from now.

You appear to have missed the 'what actually happened' bit out of your story of 'what would have happened if what actually happened didn't happen'. None of this would have happened if the Mittani had not made the guy's details public. None of it. the buck very clearly stops there and trying to say that the real problem is the fact that people then talked about the horrible (his word) things he had done is disingenuous at best and enormously self-deceptive at worst.

I hope I'm not giving more credit than he deserves, but The Mittani has shown a level of cleverness and intelligence to indicate that this was no drunken mistake, rather he just tried to push the envelope once more, to see how much shenanigans he can get away with, without being slapped over the wrist by CCP, as well as gain more ++rep with his corp members, I mean making a presentation for the alliance panel usually takes some preparation work, even if he put a small amount of effort into it, still shows that this was indeed his intention, to mock and entice people to harass the guy.

I fear that if CCP doesn't act and at the very least, remove The Mittani from CSM, if not ban him from EVE completely, they are showing a level of favoritism and mishandling of the situation similar to the t20 debacle and The Mittani will just attempt to push the envelope again once the dust settles.

I have seen people banned for less than this.

Kara, none of this would have happened had CCP actually enforced a sober panel.

None of this would have happened if CCP had it properly Moderated, which they did not.

I'll accept to apology, besides this issue has really blown out of proportions for something that was supposed to be some humorous slap stick at fan fest about someone who takes this game too seriously.

Maybe next time leave the names out and everyone, including the victims will be happy at the next fan fest.
EVE is about scams and pranks but they really should be left in game where they belong and perhaps find some other ways to show it off that you goons like playing as the bad guys of EVE.

Okay, I'm going to be an ******* again and say that none of this would have happened if some guy on the internet hadn't wrote a sappy mail about how horrible his life was because he lost some mining barges in a pvp game.

I'm sure we can go further back if needed.

So you fully support making mountains out of molehills and then blaming the PR backlash on the person responsible for the original molehill. Good work on that, but you need to use more nails to properly crucify somebody. Face it, if you were really concerned about the so-called victim in this case, taking the event to the gaming blogs is hardly the most efficient way to help them out or rush to their aid. Somebody wants to pull the full character assassination gamut so they took it to the press. Taking such accusations to the press produced a lot of negative press that they can now use as ammo to pin more guilt on Mittens. Clearly is a gift that keeps on giving. Now all they need to do is keep blowing this total non-event up to even greater levels and they're sure to reach whatever goal they had (apparently its to get him off the CSM, if this thread is to be taken on its word.

So this sort of behavior is ok if you:
1) Apologizes
2) The person doesn't kill them selves
3) You are a member of the CSM

So where do we draw the line? You can do this as long as you apologize before the person dies? Do you have to be a member of the CSM, or is a CEO of a major corp good enough?

He acted in real life and brought bad press to CCP just before DUST 514 launches, it's bad for business and it's bad for the game.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!
