Things like this can overflow to your real life (considering your profession here), more reasons to have half a brain and think twice beforehand when getting conviniently 'social'.

Your behaviour in that video shows a disinhibited human being, able to say things he probably thinks of, but his ethical and social bounds don't let him to.

You know very well what a real politicion would do if something similar would happen in real life. And as much as we like to think this is a game, your position is not a game, you play with real responsabilities, coroporate resources and planing, real people can be influenced over your influence, and you're an expense to a corportation that in the end our money is paying, so, I leave it to you to 'HTFU' as many like to say, and do what you deep down think you deserve.

I didn't realise there were so many psychics playing Eve until I saw all these posts stating, with absolute certainty, that the apology isn't sincere. Could one of you please clue me in as to what Friday's lottery numbers will be, please?

As for those of you telling Mittani to die in a fire, wasn't Helicity banned for saying exactly that to a GM? I hope they'll treat you all the same way. Of course, if they do, that'll be some goon conspiracy, rather than even-handed application of the rules.

I would feel differently if Mittens had pulled some Anonymous-like stunt where all this guys IRL personal information was publicly available and he was actually harassed - I truly do believe that would have been crossing a line. In EVE you don't have to read your EVE Mail and can block all incoming convos. Problem solved.

Given the above transcript (which may or may not be legit but appears so on the face of it) the 'victim' was unaware he was even victimized. Bravo for blowing something so dumb to so stupid a proportion.

The best move for both Alex, (as a professional) and for the CSM and CCP would still be for him to resign.

1. For himself, it looks good. He takes full responsibility and not just in words but backs it with action. A future employer gets a hold of this and they will have little to criticize him about.
2. It gives CCP absolutely no reason to even tempban his character.
3. Makes CCP and the wider Eve community look good to the outside media which hopefully plays well with Sony since a little thing called Dust is coming in a few months
4. Increases the legitimacy of the CSM.
5. And it's not like there won't be 10k idiot Goons out there to vote him in as Chair next year. Admit it, you guys are going to love that.

Why is it disrespectful and irresponsible to be drunk while presenting on a panel where everyone in attendance is expecting the people doing their presentations to be drunk (because that's half the fun of the panel)?

U are aware that u in the eye of the LAW are responsible for youre actions, no matter youre condition, and that you will be punished accordingly ? - THAT includes drunk.

I am not aware of the laws of youre nation, but where i come from, stating opinions, encouraging people to drive another to commit suicide - publicly and in real life ? - youre lucky youre not down at the police station right now explaining youreself..

Personally - had i been the targt - i would contacted a lawyer, and issued a civilian case.. one i would win easily.. encouraging people in real life to commit suicide ? - drunk or not drunk, wtf is wrong with you ??

This crossed the line from game to reality, forget all about "this is the net".. the moment it was said IN PERSON, well.. ure now in the real world, where real law's govern ppl.. perhaps u can ask ure "RL GOONS" to cover for u ?

I probably wouldn't resign if I were in his shoes. If this merits getting kicked from the CSM or a 2 week ban or something, let CCP decide. Otherwise, the apollogy is fine, imho. I don't want EvE to become internet my little pony pussified politically correct ice cream social. I want totalhelldeath I'll stab you in the back and pi55 on your corpse, rob you, violate you and sell the corpse to a pleasure hub internet space war. The simple fact of the matter is that Mittani is supposed to be our representative between us, the players, and CCP. After this extreme lapse of judgment, which says a lot for us playing an internet spaceships game, Mittani isn't fit to be on the CSM any longer.
