Well that's a relief since there was nothing wrong with his actions.

So am I correct in assuming that you believe it is acceptable for a CSM to suggest that people break the game rules?

What if a CSM told people to start botting, and gave them good locations to do it in where they wouldn't get caught? Would that also be acceptable?

Has anyone of the White Knights realized, that this is not about a real person, but about a Character in a RPGAME?
Whoever "The Wiz" is in reallife, he is absolutely safe and could change his ingame name in no time.

Just sayin'...

Why are people complaining on an Internet forum about a real life event?

Sure, if Alex had pulled this stunt on US soil he might be expecting to face charges of incitement or whatever cyber bullying laws the USA has in place. But the "crime" was committed in Iceland, where US law doesn't apply.

Just face the fact that the guy is a sociopath, and don't vote for him next time. He was apparently a successful lawyer, so that's all the evidence you need to know that he is a bad person.

Of course, I'd also like to see CCP extend the age limit on voting to accounts that are more than six months old. 30 days of subscription seems a little short to me, and is easy to game using the Buddy Invite system. Not that I'm suggesting that 10k votes for The Mittani were from temporary accounts activated for the purpose of electing him: I would never accuse a politician of committing electoral fraud Lol

I just have to ask, what does the term 'pubbie' mean?

Or is it just part of the strange argot used by goonies?

This is not a signature.

Yes, because there is an in-game mechanics for that. Actually several.

1: report the bot
2: camp the bot
3: SBU the system, take control of it and throw the bastard back to empire.

So, to VFK you go. Go evict The Mittani, bring a truck.

Oh come on! 10,000 people walking lockstep in CTA posting formation in defense of a silly frat boy staggering around after a couple of bottles of weak icelandic beer? Thats pretty subsmissive behaviour. Goonswarm as an entity makes a virtue of dehumanising its membership and making them cogs in a greater machine in service to the hierachy. It operates successfully by the same principles of any religious cult really - stripping away notions of individuality and making those without remaining esteem better identify with the organization and its "great leader".

Its a submissive relationship between the drone and the hive queen, the cultist and the cult master. I can honestly say I've rarely met any goons with much independent personality (and only then) once they've generally got out of the organization altogether.

No but he didn't do that so it's irrelevant. Also, the discussion took place out of game so in-game rules are also irrelevant.

Sure. Botting is CCP's responsibility...I don't care what people do.

I see the concern over this masking a group of unhappy players that the elections did not turn out the way they wanted. I also have to question to what degree has this story been pushed by certain members of the community.

Are there people with an agenda that are pushing the story? Probably. Does it change the fact that Mittani actually said what he said? Nope. Is blaming "people with an agenda" for blowing the story out of proportion going to mollify people? Not anymore.

There are (just) enough facts, truths, and Mittani quotes in the case that it is highly unlikely that public opinion will reverse itself and vindicate Mittani.

We'll see what CCP does Tuesday.

The comments mittens made are said day in day out on c+p and throughout all of eve in counteless corps and alliances.

yep maybe you are right, but now its recorded on a live ccp event.

CCP is directly responsible for any action of their guests. If one of them used this fanfest platform to call for real world criminal actions CCP can be punished.

Then it's a good thing he didn't do that!

I've always found the cartoon "Goons" character, with their leader, the Nefarious MITTANI, that exists in these pubbie morons' heads to be the most endearing creation.

No matter what Goons do, we'll never be as mean or as assholish as the made up goon in these idiots' heads.

No, I'm pointing out how ******** your misinformed post about relevancy and 'lolMittani is fat' was you illiterate moron.

I said he was chubby. It doesn't mean quite the same as fat - though I appreciate such fine distinctions in girth might well fly right over the heads of the typical reactionary colonial like yourself.

Reactionary Colonial? I don't get it, is this supposed to be an insult to Americans? If so, lol, if not then I am just not smart enough to follow your advanced and subtle banter. I'm glad of that too, because it's not funny anyway.

Dear god you just can't stand that I made your "nobody is relevant in internet spaceships" post and turned it to show that by your own logic you're irrelevant too even though you're one of the biggest attention whores in the game (second only to Mittens, but at least his motives are honest).

With the attention of all online gaming publishing venues and gamers around the world; Mittins has put CCP into a tight spot with only two choices. Each one will speak volumes about CCP as a company and what current and possible new players can expect from EVE and any other games under CCP.

If they ban Mittins and all associated accounts it will send the message that cyber bullying is not tolerated no matter who is doing it. If they don't ban Mittins it will send the clear message that CCP supports cyber bullying.

The world is watching.
