Did you tried to right click in space? You can find the entry for your mission in the right click menue and there you should be able to warp to your mission.

Download using eve client will not work.

Did you tried to right click in space? You can find the entry for your mission in the right click menue and there you should be able to warp to your mission.

Thanks for the info regarding the Vista install process. The Launcher menu bug you mention is likely due to a hyphen in the path of your client directory. Removing the hyphen or removing the .patch file in the folder should fix this issue (it's fixed in 1.06, which is currently on SISI).

IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: 'C:\\Program Files (x86)\\CCP\\EVE\\bin\\Awesomium.dll'
Total Runtime: 0h05m55s

I have now tried restarting my computer, running both the launcher and repair clients as administrator, running the repair tool through the new launcher, as well as from the program directory. only to get the same error as posted above. Any help would be appreciated, as I am really starting to tire of having to spend 3 hours fixing the eve client almost every patch day.

System Specs:

Windows 7 64 bit

AMD Radeon HD 6620G

6.00 GB RAM

AMD A8-3500M (Quad Core Processor)

Dito here. i'm downloading right now and it is taking ages. Or is the patch huge? I can't tell because it is not showing how much Mb's it is downloading on the launcher.

No error messages yet though, at least thats something :>


This is likely due to the fact that we checksum your client directory in order to know what data to offer you in a patch. This information is cached after the first run, so subsequent patches should be faster.

Ok, so after the patch i attempted to do the following:

Launch my client and let it do whatever it wanted to do to update itself, this ended up in my game files becoming corrupt. I ran the repair tool and this worsened the problem.

I just downloaded a fresh copy of the client from the EVE Website and installed it. After attempting to launch the game i am met with the following error:

"The program or feature "\??\C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\launcher\launcher.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibity with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available."

I cannot launch the Launcher.exe either it says it is not compatible with 64bit windows.


Running the repair tool on a fresh UNTOUCHED install produces this error after i try to close it when it tells me the repair was successful:

An error occurred

See the logfile 'C:\Users\XXXX\Appdata\Local\Temp\nsgDA2F.tmp\repair.exe.log' for details

Before reinstalling i attempted to delete some essential files from my EvE directory and run the repair tool, the repair tool reported as being successful yet the files i deleted were not replaced.

Please try clearing your cache to see if that resolves the problem. You can do this by going to Settings (ESC), select Reset Settings tab and from there you can select to "Clear all cache files". After doing this please restart the client and, if the problem persists, try "Clear all settings" as well. For further instructions please see the following EVElopedia page.

went to download the patch this morning and can up with every error that everyone else has had. then when it did repair itself went to launch the game and blue screened me for memory loss. Now will not work what so ever. Uninstalled eve and now the download launcher will not launch at all. any ideas

Awesome. I tried this, launcher tried updating, said ready. Hit play, got the message saying that Awesomium.dll AND now Trinitydeploy.dll are now missing, and cant be launched... Which again, is.. Awesome.

So, I run repair tool, in a vain attempt, and have now wasted my lunch break, because I come full circle, again. Awesome.

This. Clicking "browse" from the Fittings window will open the Fitting Management window, but minimized, and I'll have to click the neocom icon a few times before it comes up. Then the personal fittings window is empty.
My corporate fittings are also bugged. Some fits show up, but if I click 'em, they don't show the fit as such. I can, however, drag 'n drop the fit-name to a chat window, and then proceed to click that, to see a given fit.
If I navigate back to personal fittings after looking at corp. fittings, it does not refresh the thing - that is, the corp. still show.

Win7, 32-bit.

First off... this launcher is crap.

you have successfully created patchception. I had to DL a patch to make the launcher work, ok fine, that was expected, then the launcher DL another larger patch. yet again OK must be that other 3.5 MB patch was just the launcher.so after 150MB patch DL and the thing saying i could then launch the game i click launch.. loe and behold another small patch that required the game to restart. So yea thanks for fixing that what is not broken -.-

And this was only on my laptop.........

I come home to do the same lame lolupdate thinking well its not the worst that could happen just another thing in life that was good and now made bad but still tolerable. But alas i found that my desktop would not be so lucky...

Downloaded launcher patch, worked fine.. launcher launched and started DL its big patch. then i got the exception error same as the others and no more install for me.. decided to uninstall and start fresh, DL the installer and NOPE corrupt installer.... Clicked the download manually link.. WTF is this have to DL 3 separate files and run from there? still working on this....

I work with software development and testing and just have to wonder if you even tested this on any kind of various platforms or just on whoever happened to have a computer there that day. so yea.. hate the launcher, was not needed at all, other system was working fine and i didnt need all this buddy program promotes and BUY PLEX NOW stuff. i know its there i knew its there and its not like its something you need reminded of -.-

Also why the new names for things? what was it doing before that caused a undesirable effect?

Why is my overview no longer working properly and sticking?

Why when i alt tab from one client to the next the next things i click on are looked at until i press tab again?

NOW FOR THE THINGS THAT WENT OK

the launcher can be avoided if there are no patches (once i can get it to run.)
Noob ships look cool (why wasent this time spent on my overview?)


Overall conclusions? I Am Dissapoint ;(

Out of curiosity, does forcing your EVE client folder to be writable help?

I got an idea. De-patch 1.5 an launch it only after proper beta testing and complete fixing, without making us waste our paid game time troubleshooting your game. I mean am i gonna get a free Plex? or am i going to get paid for being in the EVE troubleshooting team? Sounds good no?

I am getting "Nothing Found" on the overview whenever I load a new system. I am using the default "General" overview filter; therefore, in the very least I should be seeing Stargates and Customs Offices. There is no system in K-Space where this overview filter should report "Nothing Found". The overview will fresh if I change filters, but I should not need to do this after every session change.

only one pc out of 4 is currently downloading the patch........ and very very slowly at that!!!

on one pc the auto patcher never kicks in

on the other 2 the autopatcher fails right at the begining of the whole process.


CCP ye didn't even try to qa test this did ye?


all my pcs are windows 7 ultimate x64 with 4gb pc 6400 ram (2x intel dual cores, 1x amd athlon x3, 1x amd athlon x4)
