Looking forward to it, hope it all works.

Just a note for anyone with multiple installations of Eve on one or more machines.

Once the first Launcher has downloaded and run before clicking the [Play] button note the small spanner button at the top right of the screen. Click this and in the window that opens click the ‘Patches’ tab. This will allow you to save and reload the patch to save you downloading it many times.

You may still have to download the Launcher for each client before you can use the saved patch. This should only need doing once for each client and it will automatically update from there on.

There are other setting within this settings window you might like a quick look at as well.

Otherwise, set a long skill, and good luck to all, may the patch be with you Big smile.

"Control towers in wormhole space no longer reveal distance in the Control Tower Management window."

This has an odd consequence for role players. In the AJ project (specifically, project compass; its in the Wiki) the location of several stars in w-space was determined by placing POSes in those systems, seeing their distance to POSes in known space, and doing the math. With this change, that method will no longer work. OK, but what about the previous results? The RP community needs to decide if those results should remain valid.

CCP: Were we role players making use of a feature you never intended to be part of the game? If so, then the Project Compass results need to be discounted. It would be like it never happened. And it was an huge amount of work and isk to get those results.

CCP: Does this change to distance readouts have a lore type reason why it suddenly changed? Or should we consider that it was always not working for W-space POSes and toss out all our work?

1. A “View market details” button has been added to the “Modify Order” window.
2. Double clicking on an order will now open up the market details for that item type.

For number 2: YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Big smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smileBig smile THANK YOU CCP! I remember putting in this request.

For number 1: I'm wondering why the button has been added to the Modify Order window. Seems like you would check its market details first, then decide on whether or not it needs to be updated and open the Modify Order Window, no? Am I missing something?

Now... we just need one more shortcut that would open the Modify Order window... and we will be golden!

These improvements help the order update process, and will hopefully deter bot users and prevent carpel tunnel syndrome.

"•Double clicking icons on the Neocom will now only open or close the window rather than open and close the window as the Neocom recognizes double clicks in addition to single clicks."

Does the wording of this make sense to anyone else? Because it doesn't make any sense to me...

Got me for a bit to. Then I noticed the word or was exchanged for and:

"open OR close the window rather than open AND close the window"

So it use to be you would double click and see a window open on the first click and immediately close on the second.

I really miss seeing what day it is on the lower left corner of my screen, above the Eve Time. This feature was added when the Calendar function was added to the client some time back.

When the new Neocom was released, the date display went away. I've looked all over for some sort of setting to bring it back, but haven't found it.

I realize that its too late to return the date display in this next point release... and I'm probably posting this in the wrong place... but is it possible to consider adding a setting option to display today's date in the lower left corner above the time again?

So is the new launcher tool mandatory?
And if so, how does it affect the way you log in? will you be still be able to click on the desktop icon to log in?
Or will you just have to go through the launcher every time?

And its CCP being stupid again; from said thread:

CCP Optimal wrote:
We intentionally removed the date. It was initially added to draw attention to the fact that clicking that area would open up the calendar rather than due to anyone feeling that displaying the current date in such a prominent place was necessary. Now, with the new Neocom, the calendar has it's own button making it easily accessible, and the current date is clearly displayed within that window. We don't remove things like these because we're evil, but rather because we don't feel that the information being displayed is important enough to justify taking up valuable screen space.

Not sure if, optimal ever looked at the thread again though. :(

On Sisi there was an option to go directly to log in.
