PI Graphs and Read Outs with the exception of the extractor head read out are STILL inaccurate and NOT reflective of actual output. The bug I reported earlier that shows you getting MORE stuff with LESS heads in the same location has yet to be fixed.

Basically PI UI is borked and hardly anything is mathematically accurate.

And the ellipses eating precious space in overview columns? Whose idea was that?

It's getting more and more disheartening to see these unreflected changes to game mechanics, which create nothing but trouble for the players but eat development resources at the same time.

If you want to do something useful, how about you fix the in-game notepad? The bug reducing actual character limit to half of what it supposedly is has been around for how long now?
Or how about you fix the issue with warping to on-grid bookmarks reintroduced with this patch? I tried to warp to a BM >200km off my current location - but no such luck, only approach option available.

remove "freeze overview when mouseover" or make it optional :) that will make people happier with the overview update, that little change causes more problems than good

Confirming this behavior. I have similar PC setup to Vjorn, so I had one of my corpmates test it just to make 100% sure it was not something about my gfx card, etc. He saw same behavior. Suppose "Joe Pilot" is in a Myrmidon at POS, then he switches to Hurricane. He now shows in overview as being named "Hurricane" instead of "Joe Pilot". Show Info on the cane does show Joe Pilot as being the current pilot.

Update on 2/17: I had hoped today's patch would fix the issue. It has not. Corp mate and I did a few more tests....
If Joe Pilot cloaks his ship, then decloaks, the problem is fixed. He is named Joe Pilot again instead of Hurricane.
Similarly, if you filter the overview to hide Hurricanes, then change filter so that Hurricanes are displayed again, he is named Joe Pilot. Seemingly, any action that removes the ship from overview works so that when the ship comes back onto overview the problem is resolved and the pilot shows up correctly.

Update on 2/22: 2 patches later, and the problem still exists.

Absolutely LOVE overview changes, EXCEPT blinking being WAY too slow indeed to PVPer taste. Requesting 3-5Hz blinking. Also requesting green brackets to indicate assisting.

Overview lock is wonderful idea, ESPECIALLY when lots of objects appears/vanishes on grid, jumpy stuff there always got on my nerves. I can even tell the names of ppl that left the grid prematurely, and have talk with them later! Great stuff!!

BUT since most ppl here dont like it for some random reasons (all you need is a mouse motion to let overview drop all the phantoms and resort itself, not a big deal for me), maybe make it option indeed. Many ppl many tastes Big smile
Overview columns slightly borked too, but nothing i couldn't readjust back as it was after bit of tweaking.

Good job overall, wonder what take you so long Big smile

EDIT: Also confirming above bug. IF overview WASNT locked at the time of ship change, it updates smoothly, otherwise it shows grayed old ship and empty new ship, after update it only shows empty new ship (like name='hurricane' and type='hurricane'). Switching tabs updates it properly.

While the issue has been reported and I guess is known as a bug, it was said to be an existing bug, however, as I make use of the contracts daily, I can tell you this problem DID NOT EXIST prior to the 1.2 patch!

The "contract" field is fine, and doesnt seem to suffer from the issue, but all other fields to, and while I can manually (as opposed to auto expand, which is also related and broken in this patch) stretch out the fields, it works for all of them EXCEPT location... no matter how far I expand that field its still overlaped...



Needless to say, Patch 1.2 Update #1 is so far pretty good... but glaring issues like this (And I just logged on for only a fin to check contracts so who knows what others await me) really make wanting to play painful.... as opposed to drinking... and eating bacon of course!

Not sure if this was introduced in this patch, or any other in the last 2 weeks:

When doing manufacturing that uses a RAM component, previously a job having 10% damage per run and 10 runs would require 1 RAM to start, currently it uses 1 RAM (as it should), but requires a full 10 RAM components to be present when the job is starting. Not exactly game-breaking, but I didn't find this in any patch notes and it's pretty strange to have to have lots of components that aren't used just to be able to start manufacturing.

(Was using a Drone Assembly Array at a POS for this)

More window/overlay madness!

I had my "information" window setup for the top right corner next to my station interface... now every time I click the information button it shows up in a default position on the top left corner of my UI...

The fun keeps on rolling!


EDIT: forgot, I reset settings and deleted the EVE cache files/folders... a few times... my memory limit on resetting that option is apparently 2...

And i just paid for a second account pushed by CCP adverts/spams..

Is there a possibility to play without downloading this last patch, waiting for it to be fixed ? Or shall i freeze my accounts until it works properly ?

EDIT:
Wyack > Solved by renaming the Jukebox folder (no ig music but no client crash)
Dayak Mordu > Solved by disabling station environnement (?)

And now like everyone here: The overview is now crazy, when set by type it goes from top; some ships, stargates, ships again etc..

1. UI Overview slow blinking of NPC targeting/shooting you sucks, blinking in space is fine (same as before)

2. UI Overview font spacing increased, now it takes 2x more space to see same as before patch

I might be the only person in New Eden bored enough to sit around in my CQ watching the TV... but I could've sworn I used to be able to click those headlines that roll past at the top of the screen?

Just tried two different computers and no clicky :(

Mac Client;

Getting game crashes with error window after going through incursion map information, very repeatable.

Select Journal, Incursion, Corporate Members map search, then on map info window, different selection each time but going through search options like clicking Agents Available or Caldari - Aggression then window freezes, then after 5-6 secs crash.

Error message: "Exception Raised" - Unhandled page fault on write access to ...

I have to count this update as a fail.

Macbook Mac OSX Lion - fully up to date
Random Game crashes and freezing

Alienware desktop windows 7 64 bit - fully up to date

Was this tested at all?
Add UI improvements and break game stability.........

I love my Macbook Pro and the OSX series, but I have come to hate the iProducts like iPhone, iPad, etc. So am I considered an "Apple Fanboy" or not?

Can't find anything bad except the overview lock. I absolutely HATE it. I was in the Jita 4-4 undocking lane scanning ships and missed several because I forgot my mouse in the overview window. Incredibly irritating. I know some people like it and it could have it's uses, but forcing players to use a new "feature" hasn't traditionally worked in CCP's favor. Make it optional please.

Maybe something to do with the overview lock but I have noticed close rat spawns sometimes appear initially near the bottom of overview when I have it filtered to distance closest at the top. This can take upto a few seconds to sort itself back to distance order. Have only been scanning sites not mission running or anything else.... anyone else or just me?

I was getting crashes about every twenty minutes or so, with an unhandled page fault error, with different numbers, went through the forums, found a supposed fix, which included erasing the preferences folder, which looked like it fixed the problem for a few hours, but then it came back again, erased the folder again, but problem was persistent. I sent a petition, they tell me they know about the error and are working on it, was hopeful this patch would fix all the lockups etc... but apparently no fix. Mac User.

Freezes every twenty minutes or so makes it nearly impossible to play this game. it's getting very frustrating.

Each time I change a market order by manualy(* typing a different number, the font in the input field changes.

I have seen the same behavior while changing a sig name when scanning.


(* It does not happen when using the mouse wheel.


Edit: I just noticed the appearance of the changed font in the 'Give Money' input field as well.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

Ive come across strange behavior in which a blue showed blue in local, but hostile on the overview. This happened exactly once, but a corp mate reported the same behavior for the same incident.

Hate the new flash rate for NPC's targetting you Way too distracting. Why did something that wasn't broke get fixed. Please revert to how it was
