Hi

I am a 2003 player who, at various points in my long Eve career, have exhausted every aspect of PvP and 0.0 political life. At one point I was even e-famous as one of the better FCs in the game.

I am a deeply bittervet who stayed subscribed to Eve solely because I couldnt bring myself to stop training my 115m sp character. I haven't properly "played" eve for years, and haven't FCd a proper fight since 2006

I joined RvB about a month ago. In that month I've had the most fun eve play I've had since 2005. It is a totally different experience to any other part of Eve. You literally have PvP within 5 minutes of logging on, regardless if the last time was the day before or 6 months ago. I've been able to FC, or solo, or be a grunt in a small or medium gang with equal ease. There's minimal faggotry (no ECM, no podding, noone runs from a reasonably fair fight and often not even from an unfair one).

In conclusion - if you, like me, are a PvP bittervet supreme, who thought you had burned out from Eve because you are nolonger willing to put the ridiculous time in needed to get good fights in 0.0 or lowsec, think again. RvB is awesome, low-commitment, low-effort PvP of every ship class. Its ******* great. Whether you are a 9 year eve vet or just subbed yesterday, if you want PvP, Join. The ****. Now.


PS: Reds can eat a ****, Blue FTW.

Hi everybody!

I just heard about RvB in a different thread and this sounds exactly what I am looking for. I am very excited about joining the fight! I have some questions first:

1. Which side needs more pilots, Red or Blue?
2. Which side is predominantly Amarr or are factions fairly evenly mixed?
3. Should I leave the Militia before joining RvB?
4. Are there any consequences to leaving the Militia and rejoining at a later date, such as loss of standing with Amarr?
5. To clarify, only ECM Jammers are outlawed, I can use other ECM like Remote Sensor Dampeners?

Thanks to anyone who responds and I look forward to fighting you or fighting with you, in game!

1. Either or. Flip a coin, if you feel its too inbalanced during your TZ, its easy to change sides.

2. Race isnt a thing, people fly all sorts and are off all ingame racial backgrounds.

3. Yes.

4. Not unless you mission for gall/minnie while out.

5. Only ECM midslot jammers yes. Damps etc are good to go.

It seems we have been slacking lately.

RVB is as fun as ever, plenty of explosions every hour of the day in all timezones were eve players can be found. We have regular nullsec drunk roams - open to all - as well as lots of internal events with prizes and of course plenty of pew.

We even have a small group dedicated to the training of newer players in the ins and outs of basic pewpew.

So whatever your experience look us up today!

I recently re-subbed and I have decided its about time to stop caring about getting blown up in space by someone and actually get out there and try some PvP.

I remember hearing about RvB last year and thought it was an awesome idea, I have been just reading some of the stuff on the RvB forum page and I just have some questions and stuff about the whole thing and I am thinking about the logistics about moving everything to either HQ.

But before I do anything I need to know what kind of fit do I need on a T1 Frig so that I know what stuff to train in the meantime.

This is my main pilot and he around about 13m SP but in nothing particular, in all the time I have played EVE I have never really had a aim that I wanted to explore.

Do you guys have a public channel that I can login to have a natter with players about everything?.

Had a good chat with folks on the public channel, I now know what to skill train and I will be joining red or blue in the next couple of days, have to move a load of stuff first and buy a stock of ships... lol

Anyway, been 1 day in RvB, got in on 20 kills, lost 2 cruisers in small fleet warfare and 4 rifters and learned the following:

1. Barrage merlins at 5k, web helps, but generally stay away from them in the event they are properly fit
2. Maller is a cruiser
3. If fighting 1v1 on station undock and you win, gtfo to wait out the aggression timer or the guy who lost will reship and pop your now smoking ship
4. If you managed to 1v1 engage a enemy in a tactical near a station or gate and won... a random red that is in warp range can now warp to zero on the wreck and possibly catch and pop your ship. Post gf's and comments after you looted the wreck and are at a safe


each of the above cost a rifter to learn

Joined last week - first kill with the Mighty Red Fleet being a Phantasm. Got killing blow too . . .
