Might be time for a routine maintenance inspection.

Well, guess we're now in a 3rd generation LAGL thread.

The second LAGL thread lasted for 490 days and 12,019 messages, for an average of 24.52 messages a day.

By the way, there's other threads active with more pages than what the 2nd generation LAGL thread had in it. Just exactly what is the issue with LAGL affecting the DB Server performance ? Maybe it's time to place another Hamster on the wheel to kick it up a notch.

The org. thread was the worst offender in our monitoring history, so we keep an eye on it's evil spawns :)

But you are right, there are others that we're considering splitting as well.

In regards to performance, it's primarily the amount of Reads that happen to calculate all the likes... While the DB Server has 768 GB of ram, it's not just the forums that use it, so when things like this thread (or well the old threads) take silly amounts of reads to do things, it just makes us sad

Well we definitely don't want LAGL to make our CCP Overlords sad.

And yeah, you're right. The original LAGL thread was indeed a record setting monster.
