Silly question: Is it required that you be a PSN+ subscriber? I'm not and as much as I'd like to play Dust and help find / kill bugs, I don't want to pay a subscription to fee to Sony.

Wait... didn't someone in CCP say that D514 wasn't aimed at the existing playerbase?

I understand offering Beta access, am dissapointed it's a PS3 Exclusive so means I won't get to experience it. I'm not buying a console I don't really like for one game, sorry.

That's certainly true, no-one knows CCP like us.. and not many people like to break things like EVE players do.

hmm. there must be a way how to suicide gank dusties from space.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

we are talking about hitting an object, the size of lets say battleship on a target that is few 1000 kms and rotating away from you at the speed of lets say 2000 km/s (earth spin speed) where your dread is probably in siege mode and have a tracking as close to zero as possible.

Yeah, you dont need a skill for that, how could You miss?

That said, I'm hugely disappointed that it won't guarantee me a spot in the beta...like, why not CCP?

You know there is a huge buzz in PS3 FPS fanbase about this game?

Few big clans from MW and BF said they are coming to dust.

I'm one of those that's hooked enough on Eve that I'd pickup a PS3 for Dust. Originally, I wasn't going to, but hell many of us buy video cards that cost more then PS3s.

Plan is to just hook it to a monitor on my desk and I'll be trying one of those PS3 mouse controllers for Dust. There is enough downtime in eve, waiting for fleets to form-up, waiting on something to jump to a beacon, hauling **** around the galaxy.... Maybe some instant Pew Pew action from a console game can fill the voids nicely.

Maybe if some of us help test DUST with those PS3 mouse controllers early, then PC gamers will have an easier transition.

I really do wish CCP the best with Dust. If Dust does well I'm sure EVE will do well. The non-pc thing is a big problem though and with Planetside 2 coming out that whats probably gonna fill the MMO shooter spot for me. I did sign up for beta so I may dust off my PS3 for it.
