I left Marmites for fredegar (eventually rabble when I wound up in charge) a long time ago. We had even been given a mandate to demolish them at the time. I however managed to do it with Toras blessing and even help. It's all about how you do these things and I can see by the back and forth here the approach used wasn't optimal. Food for thought

Before leaving, I actually did take the time to speak to Tora on comms, tell him what I was going to do, and go over my reasons with him. I gave every effort to do things the right way, he just wouldn't have it and as soon as he heard "Fly Fearless" he refused to listen to anything I had to say. After leaving my plan was to stay as uninvolved in the actual conflict as I could however Tora dragged my involvement into this by trying to run some weird smear campaign.

You had taken a risk as you also knew that there would be vmg interest. It's nice to see someone from marmites actually having the balls to do anything.

Men will follow if you actually know how to LEAD them. Khrom and Natural know how to lead by example and they will risk billion isk ships to jump without hesitation and help any of the VMG members who are in trouble. This is not something that I "believe or suspect" this actually happened to me on more than one occasion. Same goes for every other member in VMG. This is just one of the many aspects that makes VMG very powerful as a group.

Word is that you are quite the opposite. In my opinion OneNiko got fed up and had the balls to stand up to you in a civilized manner. If his view is different than yours that's ok... I think you should not trash him all over the forums, call him names and whatnot. Probably if you would have played it right you would still be friends, and this is what matters most. Big smile

Tora, I'd appreciate you not talking about my membership like this. We're not "The Enemy", we're just a weak little industrial corp, quivering before your superior military might, masterful strategies, and incomprehensible (At least to the likes of me) meta, which leaves us reeling from confusion.

Anyways. Don't you have a merc alliance to run or something? Do you really have time to be worrying about what a few wayward members are doing? Do you really want to use your C&P mercenary services advertisement thread as a smear campaign against another player? Or is Marmite no longer in the merc business?

And also. Dear Mercenaries. Stop whining. When you work through wardecs, do NOT expect the enemy to fight fair. Do NOT expect us to play nice when our scouts see you moving around, 20 jumps away, and see your fleets for miles. If you're coming in 4 cruisers - we'll show up in whatever it takes to kill that. If you show up in 4 Vindicators... we'll undock whatever it takes to kill that. Some of them will be in our alliance, others will be allies of ours. Welcome to EvE. If you want "Fair Fights" then maybe you should retire to Jita Undock in an NPC corp and go back to duelling everyone.

Oh wait. Y'all do something with that aggression timer, and undocking in a ship the one who accepted didn't anticipate.... it's almost like EvE encourages unfair gameplay! Whoddathunkit.

I'm still wanting to know what leadership you are speaking of.

For all we know the merc industry went inactive after the watchlist nerf so Khrom recruited and blued everyone he could so he could dec as many people as possible while not being hunted. Once he lured all of the actives in with "the most wars" he then crapped on all of his blues and has been slowly merging them into his corp.

Khrom being a parasite does not equal Leadership.

To be honest the greatest example of leadership in high-sec today is Tora. Tora has all of the odds against him yet he is still undocking and still leading by example for his loyal members. Its unfortunate OniNeko Jin took the easy way out but not all boys become men.

VMG will gain my respect the day they are challenged and they pull through. Until then Khrom and Natural aren't true leaders, they are just place holders while they maintain the most wars. But what do you all care, you don't need my respect.
