Ticket already opened, so save the time posting for fixing the ****....

P.S. Get rid of this Launcher for God sake, its rubbish

Clearing your cache would solve your problem and using the search function on the forums or reading the posts in this thread would provide you that answer

Edit: Well it didnt fix the problem, keep me updated on other ideas. Thanks

Can't update. Everytime I try to run the launcher to update, it will start the download, but it will stop at 9.9MB downloaded and give me this error.

Try to verify your shared cache files

How do I verify?

There is an option in the settings of your game launcher to do that (in the new as well as in the old one). Look for "Shared Cache" there and hit the "verify" button

In the launcher itself, in the advanced menu I have no verify option, only option I have is for clear cache but still theres no mention for the shared area, nor theres a button that says verify. Theres the EVE repair tool, which I assume its going to download data and as always CCP never says how much will be... Im on data plan :(

I also have the black screen instead of character selection issue

I read that when the skill finished it may fix itself ... that's 11 hours away .. could be worse I suppose as next in queue is 14 days, but pretty annoying not to be able to play for that time

Oh yes, sorry my bad. In the old launcher it is the "Repair" button in the advanced options like you said. It should work the same way like the new verification. It will calculate and compare the hash sums of all important data and redownload the damaged/missing ones if any. Since you need those files anyway, you will need to download them the one way or another to play. If you do clear your cache, then all files will be redownloaded, wich would be contra productive for your case, so just try the repair option

Still having issues with my rorqual and the mining links. A workaround is putting my main in fleet command, and another char in wing, to have it trickle down correctly, but not everybody has chars available with higher leadership skills. :/

How about you just DISABLE the scanner probe markers in the options of the new scanner map and let your problem just vanish INSTEAD of complaining about an issue wich is not one at all?

Hi Devs,

So the saga of the fitting screen continues.

imgur album linky

Picture 1 - Me parking my Onyx to board a Helios, and getting a warning that I don't have enough grid to activate a large shield extender.
The game log:
[ 2015.11.05 14:40:51 ] (info) To bring Large Shield Extender II online requires 160.00 power units, but only 151.91 of the 1071.91 units that your power core produces are still available.
This is odd, because I've just swapped my Onyx for a Helios - so I'm wondering, "Why am I getting powergrid notifications for a ship I just left? Maybe I'll reboard it and check."

Picture 2 - Me reboarding my Onyx, and getting a warning that I now don't have enough grid to run the Medium Neut.
Game log:
[ 2015.11.05 14:42:32 ] (info) To bring Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I online requires 175.00 power units, but only 166.91 of the 1071.91 units that your power core produces are still available.
This is odd, because a minute earlier I was told the LSE wasn't powered, but it looks like it might be after all. I better check the fitting screen.

Picture 3 - My fitting screen, which firstly revealed the Neut was offline, the LSE was online, but the Neut could be onlined. Then I noticed the wiredness.
On the fitting screen, my missile launchers appear to be unloaded. But on my display, they are fully loaded.

Picture 4 - This is me after relogging, and reopening the fitting window. It now appears that all my modules have disappeared from the fitting window, but as you can see, they are still active on the HUD.

Picture 5 - I closed the fitting window, and tried to mouse over the module activation button. There "should" be a tool tip in this screen shot. There is no tool tip.

Picture 6 - This is after I warped off to a safe, jet canned some ammo, and managed to activate the launcher and destroy the can. This picture is me right clicking the Missile launcher to reload ammo. No reload dialogue box has appeared.

After all this, and deciding to try some common bug fixes, I left the game with all clients and cleared my game cache from the Launcher. (Note, this was all after today's patch and emergency reboot.)

My launcher will now not let me enter a username; it has a the wee blue spinning status icon; and the client status bar is all grey. I am able to log into the game using the bin folder exefile.exe.

So, I think there are three issues here:
1) There's a problem associated with fitting when you board ships at a Ship Maintenance Array.
2) There's a serious bug affecting the fitting window, module tool tips, and the module right click interface.
3) At the present, clearing cache may well crash the launcher.

I'm off to run eve repair - will update when I have.

I have. There was a small fix patch down loaded, but this has had no effect on the launcher problem. It still does nothing, and eventually my OS gives a process time out warning.

Boarding my everyday scanning legion...

[ 2015.11.05 17:07:13 ] (info) To bring 1600mm Steel Plates II online requires 550.00 power units, but only 0.00 of the 0.00 units that your power core produces are still available.
[ 2015.11.05 17:07:21 ] (info) To bring Warp Scrambler II online requires 1.00 power units, but only 0.00 of the 0.00 units that your power core produces are still available.
[ 2015.11.05 17:07:24 ] (info) To bring Scan Rangefinding Array II online requires 1.00 power units, but only 0.00 of the 0.00 units that your power core produces are still available.
[ 2015.11.05 17:07:28 ] (info) To bring 425mm AutoCannon II online requires 138.60 power units, but only 0.00 of the 0.00 units that your power core produces are still available.
[ 2015.11.05 17:08:13 ] (question) Do you really want to quit now?

Half the modules are just missing on my fitting window.

EvilWhat?

Any ideas?

Most ppl were able to fix fitting problems by clearing game cache or at least verifying the files

I tried this (clear cache), my launcher died.

EVE Repair has had no effect.

I'm now toying with a full reinstall.

the launcher is now back again to taking up to 7 or 8 minutes to check the shared resource cache. Absolute joke the way that every major patch you screw this up.

It has nothing to do with the launcher! only with serverload, your connection and the processing speed of your computer. Since it is checking over 65000 files you should consider to defragment at least the affected area if the files are NOT on an SSD or look for any other real source of your problem instead of blaming the launcher. My launcher was done checking after 3 minutes and 11 seconds (just tested it). Not always is CCP the cause of a problem :P

if that was the case it would do it everytime i start the launcher, it doesnt, its only after 1 of their 6 week updates and will do so for 3 or 4 days and then 1 of the myriad of patch fixes they deploy, actually fixes it.

Just received an answer to my ticket, confirming that its connected to the Skill Queue somehow. It should fix itself after current skill training is completed they say....
