I like this! If people live in their space, they'll certainly notice when there's unknown towers around that shouldn't be there, won't they? Lol

bingo, his pig not being a goat doesn't make the pig wrong, just him an idiot for shouting at his pig "WHY ARENT YOU A GOAT!" (Source)

yes, that would be an awesome change if this is true.
now that activity is more focused with the new entosis sov, it make sense to remove these notifications, and let the players living in the space they own do their patrols....

Probably a bug however this was a change I suggested once that really needs to be in the game. Oddly I was ridiculed for it. It needs to be in game to allow footholds to be established on in Sov space that isn't being used so that smaller entities are able to colonise and grow.

A true sandbox has minimal server limitations. The server needs to provide essential operations while leaving everything else non essential (such as scouting) to players. The server in a sandbox game should not take over player responsibilities unless those responsibilities would become cumbersome and cause playability to suffer. Scouting your home systems for unauthorised structures does not fit into that catagory.

It's a good start...

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

It makes sense, but I still would like to express my concerns about stealth changes (if that was intended in the first place).

I'm not so sure if this really is a good change though. Counting towers in a system every day is not difficult, it's not an accomplishment of any sort. It's just one more really annoying unpaid day-job Sov owners will have to do. Eve should be entertainment, not work.

Why would they have to count towers. If the towers are empty and unused, they pose no threat. If they are not, people will shurely notice when the owners hang out in them.

But then, the owners are already hanging out in them, which is a bit late.

People to shoot at is not a bad thing

No, but structures with millions of HP to shoot at are.

Seems like a pointless change. Will only add the need for people to do a repetitive task daily or anchor small towers on every moon to block them off, adding clutter. Kinda backwards considering the goal is to encourage people to fight each other for control not endlessly fight structures.

Car alarms are stupid. You should have your kids check on it every hour.

Car alarms prevent people from removing cars. In this case they are not removing anything, they are adding.

You are right. It's much better when people poop into your car.

What's the benefit to holding Sov again?

You can't poop in a POS, what's with all these straw man comparisons?!

I just like to play the real-life comparison game. It's stupid, but fun. Besides - Random people putting a POS into my home system is pretty much like pooping on the backseat of my car - something I really do not want to happen.

Bottom line is: Neutrals (or enemies) putting up structures in the space one supposedly owns is something, space owners consider to be a bad thing. The supposed system owners not even being notified, when some random dude puts down a tower is another one of those things where it really doesn't seem to matter if people hold sov or not, begging the question: Why bother?

Do we even need a sov system anymore?

Patrol your system if you don't want people coming in there.
