no, they were too busy having to fight off Moa from trolling the i-hubs

I am extremely disappointed. I have played eve for sometime now. I believe the new sov changes are going to kill eve or at least null sec side of eve. I do not believe this game is going to be able to survive the new sov warfare. You can tell it was designed by someone who does not play this game or at least hold space in null sec.

I believe they all pretty much play the game, a lot, and have access to people who play the game full time.

I agree and understand that CCP has no obligation to compensate their players for these error and the loss of game time. But do think as a good will gesture, they should offer some form of compensation. If only to prove they do care how their customers feel.

"feelings" are totally overrated

I am stunned at the level of entitlement expressed in this thread.

Sometimes things go wrong with complex IT systems, especially when changes get made. Most updates of late have gone pretty smoothly and most downtimes have been minutes long.

So enough with the bitching already. Go outside, kick a ball around, say hello to your wife/boyfriend/husband/girlfriend/kids/dog...

Of course :)

The drinking game. You pretty much drink whenever someone makes a post at this point. Except for people who are also playing the drinking game.

Whoa!
There are rules.. you drink anytime makes a post that is whiney, or the launcher gives us false hope, or you're thirsty, or you refresh the page, or you like a post, or you think a post is funny (but you don't wanna shame yourself by actually "liking" it) or it dark outside, or the sun is up...

In other words you dont need a reason to take a shot? If you do just use the fact the server is down to take shots..... just start taking a shot every 15 minutes that the server is still not active....if you are behind the in the drinking game... the server has been down for 5 hours... do the math....take the appropriate number of shots... now you're NOT loosing the Fozzi did it again drinking game...

I think... If everyone banned together and started giving CCP encouraging support and legitimately helpful advice, I would **** myself.

Come to think of it... I bet they would too.

Don't do that, everyone would just be confused and nothing would get fixed.

As you were then :)

So yes, as is, CCP is still well within the legal agreement you (and everyone else) made with them. If you dislike this, I'd recommend either cancelling your account (and EULA agreement), or traveling to Iceland to attempt to contest the EULA in the appropriate legal venue. If you choose the latter, good luck with that.

Then it's a good thing EULA doesn't apply to people living in Britain.

Yeeeah, about that. If you feel that the EULA doesn't "apply" to you, then your access of CCP services is against the law and you can get in quite a bit of trouble.

Access to Eve is dependant on agreement with the End User License Agreement. If you don't agree to be bound by the EULA, or for some reason cannot be bound by it, then accessing CCP systems is against the law.

Anyway, if, for some magic reason The EULA ACTUALLY didn't bind people in Britain, then CCP would be well within their rights (and likely would be) blocking all connections from, and business with British subjects.

No, because they still have their terms of service. They can't enforce the EULA in England. And I think if companies started blocking people in England because their EULA isn't legally binding here then there would be a massive shitstorm, considering the UK has one of the biggest gaming industries going right now.

Nobody in their right mind would block connections from England. That's just a stupid idea.

oh just so you know we have these things called statutory rights. which basically means those rights that are granted to you buy law and cannot be rescinded by entering into a contractual agreement. so basically if someone writes a contract with something stupid in it that's basically against British law. you are only bound to the stuff that is compliant with the law.

if you interested in a refund or a complaint please access https://www.gov.uk/consumer-protection-rights.

this is a somewhat complicated topic that i have grossly oversimlpified for you.

however tranquility is in London so dont think ccp games arnt bound by brittish law, they are as they have a registered company here. if you wish to corrispond with them
