See, I'm personally fine with the whole "**** happens" mentaility. They'll get it up when they get it up (a blue pill would help though). My only thing is if it ends up being a multi day thing, then and only then should they do something in terms of apologizes for the players. Particularly if it ends up being 2-3 days, considering the mechanics they just laid out, it would also result in yesterday being a waste for a lot of people.

However, I have faith that it won't come to that, because as much as we take our internet spaceships seriously, I know CCP takes their internet fixery even more seriously.

If a player can go to your house and turned off the power, a player can snuck in the server room and sabotage it with lazorsssss....

They're under no obligation to compensate players for anything. There was no way to anticipate the servers having a tantrum and it's not like they have SLA agreements with the players. If anything, CCP giving out *anything* is entirely up to them, but we shouldn't expect anything.

Now, everyone kept their skill queues updated ...right?


I know that CCP doesn't have to compensate us, but it would be nice if they did. Like I said, it's not my call. I have my skill queue setup for the next year.

We here at WiNGSPAN Delivery Services have customers awaiting deliveries. We are trying to run a business here! Our customers are being deprived of their munitions shipments!

On a serious note.. Good luck to the devs and I hope you don't set fire to another server.

Also! To set some straight on what happens when an issue like this happens. I would suggest having one spare person with a camera recording the madness. Then release a Behind The Scenes madness video. Being a techie myself, I would love to watch that.

Now I do understand where some of the people who want compensation and the like are coming from. Its not a problem for me persay, but if you end up missing your entire alotted time to play EVE in a week... There are some people playing the game who sub up, but end up being able to play for perhaps as few as 5 days of the month. If one of those days the server borks out, they paid alot for "nothing", so to speak.

I hope it gets fixed soon, but w/e, it'll be ready when its ready eh :p
I'm glad my phone app wasnt glitching when it kept insisting the server was offline :p
