The complexity of the system, as is usual, today, is far too great for the coders to comprehend. Since nobody, not a single one of them, can understand the entire system, neither can they immediately know where the error is.

Even now, you can rest assured, intelligent software systems are being consulted, that will attempt to 'ai' their way through the debug process. Long gone are the days when a core is dumped, a human invokes a debugger, and the problem is soon solved.

Today, even finding the problem is a major challenge, even with psuedo-ai aissistance.

Actually, this is a pretty interesting observation. I would be very curious to hear other people's thoughts as to what could cause all the different aspects to fail at the same time.


If the problem is with the db end (where crest is getting its information and dust has input/output for things like orbital bombardment) why wouldn't one thing cause all 3 to go down.

As to SISI and Duality going up and down they are test servers - why on earth wouldn't they be going up and down as they try to diagnose and fix the problem!

They are going to have to back the game up to 6 months ago. Gives you a chance to fix some of your learning mistakes.

I can, I was there for a huge technical problem and the rage was ********. The servers were down for almost an entire day and the forums where just packed with "I'm quitting wow" messages in far less kind words.

Personally I dont give two ***** if I get compensated or not. Its only a game for **** sake. Just wish ccp would hurry up and fix the problem, which I know they are doing their best to do.
