Scanning the Jove Obsevatory in D-I9HJ

This is my initial report on the finding from use of an entosis link on the jovian obvservatory located in D-I9HJ. This is the closest reported Jovian Observatory to the site of clash between the Amarr and the Jove in the Vak'Atioth.
My initial findings seem to indicate that while structurally the same as the other outposts analyzed, it is somewhat older. Until I can correspond the dating methods used by the jovians previous to the Yulai Convention I can not say how much.
It also so seems that this post was used heavily as something of a relay station to communicate during the battle of Vak'Atioth, unfortunately the contents of said communications are cleverly encrypted. I suspect that the encrypted information may contain valuable information on jovian ships and tactics. Unfortunately for the moment I do not have more to report as I am a novice at these things, and will require much study to unlock more information.

Could you A: Explain what tells you it is older.
And B: Maybe post the contents here?

They seem to be scannable.
If we begin collating this data, we will be able to confirm or deny the truth of the above statement.

Translation: he's not making stuff up, you can scan these outposts with the new entosis links, and you can get/glean YC dated information from them as per the above linked thread.

Well yes they are scannable. But that doesn't mean there is any evidence that that particular observatory is older than the rest.

Admittedly I was responding to the "are they scannable" implied, rather than the age thing.
It's possible the age could be misconstrued from the logs acquired.

Questions:
Does an observatory always provide the same log item every time it is scanned, even by different people? If yes, this gives us an age. If no, then back to the drawing board.
Or will an observatory provide logs at random each time it is scanned? See above.
Can an observatory be scanned via other means (analyzers, hacker modules, etc)? If so, what other information is available?

Also - if drifters can damage an observatory, how would we? Would we want to? What degree of weapon would it require? Doomsday?

There's probably more things to ask that I haven't thought of yet.

The age was simply an inference from the location. It is my suspicion that these observatories are a products of the 3rd empire and their desire to appear powerful, and if this is the case then its makes perfect sense that this one is slightly older as it is on the route from the empires and space of the former third directorate.

Or it could be the youngest because they were most able to patrol that area with cloaked ships.
Pure inference with no evidence is a poor place to start.
