The process of extracting stuff files to shared resource cache takes quite a while when you first start the launcher. 10 minutes and I'm at 30%. Is this normal or am I experiencing an issue?

It just depends on your hard drive (and to some extent the CPU). We've seen this take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes.

Running the second Mission since patching. There are no wrecks left, after taking NPCs down.

EDIT: Nevermind. Now there they are.

There's a known issue whereby NPCs without loot will not form a wreck. Noted in the Issues thread. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I just ran a wreck heavy mission with no empty wrecks 9:20 a.m. EST. Is there a trick to get them back? Not an overview problem, they just weren't there.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

All of your clients use the exact same resources - there is no reason to duplicate those 12GB on disk.

It took mine about 20 minutes or so to extract all of it. There do seem to be a couple of pain points around the 30% mark and again around 98% - could be the result of large files being uncompressed or something I suppose.

Just wait it out and don't mess with it. It eventually finishes, and for me it worked fine. Patience grasshopper.

Multiple installations will work exactly as they did before, only with less duplication of files on disk. You can still have multiple clients with their own settings.

I am your client! I give you money every month! I should be able to configure the clients of the game as I need it on my computer!
I should be able to allocate resources to clients as before!

Calm down dude. I am their client as well, and I demand one location. :)

I don't know if you are such a guru, or clueless, but you can set your cache location in your launcher, so I guess you should be able to set it to fit your needs.

you sound like you don't know what you're talking about. Please contract all items and deposit all isk in care of SamuelK of TCONE. Thank you for your time in Eve Online. I'm sure, wherever you go, the collective IQ's of both games will rise.

BTW download took about 20 or so for me. No problems to report save for a few facepalms on this forum.

A bit off-topic, but I remember a time when Eve did not have wrecks (or salvage) and only dropped a container if there was loot.

How about you take it down a notch and then explain why you would need multiple copies of static resources, which you are forced to keep at the same version anyway (the one that matches the server)?

The update.eveonline.com page has this piece of text:

Quote:
Two-factor Authentication
Increase your security on EVE websites and Account Management with Google Authenticator or email codes.

I'm interested but can't find any details on how to enable/configure. Nothing in technical help, nothing in patch notes. Anyone else found out how this works?

tnx!
