The whole overview goes nuts and disappears and comes back only after hitting tab many times. This includes the whole chat box, overview window, and any other window thats open. Plz fix asap as it might become fatal one of these times.

I'm having an annoyingly high amount of client crashes, even more than when Incarna first arrived Shocked

It seems to be linked to Alt-Tabbing, as around 1 in 3 alt-tabs will see my client blackscreen and eventually crash when I try to get back in to it. However it is woth noting that I have also experienced client crashing while just idle in station (hanger view) and simply trying to for example open my active ship'#s cargohold.

Running windows client on vista 32-bit, and yes i've already cleared my cache

Also the windows have messed up, its still there, but just different grey/white/black blocks where the window was/should be. Good note though, the screen 'flashing' that happened everytime i logged in is gone, that started when last patch came out

PC, XP sp3, nvidia 450gts oc

having same problem while mining , all my windows disappear and either i have to logout or window bac and forth from different screens

These may have been mentioned already, but 34 pages is too much reading for me.

1) Drones don't seem to automatically return to drone bay.
- I had 5 medium scount drones out while mining in my covetor. I'd finished for the evening and left the drones out. I selected a starbase and chose dock. The drones decided to roam around me like they normally do, and did not return to the drone bay as expected per the patch notes (this was with client update #3, I hadn't tried prior to that). There was plenty of time for them to return to the drone bay due to the align time of the covetor (I had to turn nearly 180 degrees).

- I know that the notes state that they will try and return to the bay, but they didn't even seem to try.

I thought the drones only did that when you e-warp (as in when you're disconnected). They said that they didn't want to do that for every warp because there might be times when you don't want your drones coming back (eg in a fight).

I don't recall reading that, but if it's the case then I retract my issue.

Of course, in that case it would be great if it were configurable.

OK ccp, instead of the windows disappearing issue i have something else while mining, INSANELY ANNOYING.

Theres a screenshot

happens EVERYTIME I MINE, clred cache and ran eve repair tool more than once. All the "asteroids" listed are ones i locked to mine.

Though this isnt showing when i use ctrl f9 to clr the screen for a screenshot but as soon as i hit ctrl f9 it comes right back. Requires docking or relog to get cleared off my screen.

ALOT of bugs here CCP, seeming to be more bugs than I have witnessed in a long time from a patch, surprising with everything else you guys did to improve game.

The client is using a massive amount of memory. The computer I game with is a bit complicated since I do other things with it. However, the VM software is loading Win XP on its own cpu w/3.25gb of memory and using 1 sm3 video card. It runs teamspeak3, firefox, and the win xp junk. Before Crucible I could run 2 clients without any issues. Now starting 1 eve client grabs 1gb of memory, which is released over time so that it is only using 100mb after 15 minutes. Yet if I start 2 clients, one after the other, neither releases memory, eventually crashing that VM because it pulled all 3.25gb of memory and maxed out the cpu. Is Eve SMP enabled?

In the eve client , I have cleared all settings and cache, nothing has improved.

A bug I found an hour ago is that I can no longer Edit Member by right clicking on a corp member, doing so opens a tiny blank window and nothing appears in it. Also, if I open the corp icon - member tab - role mgmt tab, nothing is displayed there. It should have a list of all the members of the corp. As CEO, all corp menus should be working for me. Petition sent over this.

More errors noticed and reported in Petition:
1) Director of corp in fleet gets an error dropping ore on top of ore already in orca's corp hanger.
2) Target lock of asteroid locks but the indicator on that roid says it is still locking, even when being mined.
3) Asteroid names in space will not clear so you have a bunch of names, static, even if you have moved away from that area.
4) Name of asteroid & distance remain on screen no matter how far you zoom out.
5) Where is the mining sounds? First it was a thrum thrum then a cruise ship's horn, now its an odd industrial noise. Bring back thrum thrum and stop screwing around with the miners.

Beta testing of software before it is released to the rest of us would stop these endless patches CCP, might look in to doing that.

Also getting this, and problems with alt-tab blackscreening one of the clients after awhile.

I could get used to it, but it could use a more distinct indication that a new cycle has started

Kind of disappointed really, I thought CCP was trying to turn things around and listen to the players. One thing the players have been saying over and over again is how about making sure every part of a new expansion works before releasing it, apparently that's too hard to understand. The new salvaging sound is joke right? Sounds like a toddler banging on pots and pans with a spoon and sometimes it doesn't stop when you're done salvaging. Solar system map, now that it's all dark, makes it even harder to see your bookmarks while you're scanning since they are no longer opaque after you launch probes like they used to be pre-dominion but that will probably never get fixed. Same with the bookmarks in solar system map not displaying their distance in AU from your ship, or the bookmarks being obscured by the beacons of signatures you've warped to making them impossible to read or even interact with at all. the bug where modules offline when docking at a station seem to be back with crucible, I docked earlier to buy one of the new battlecruisers and got back into w-space to drop off my bomber only to see that I can't cloak because my cloak is offline, luckily there was no one there to capitalize on that or I'd file a petition that would get the canned response "our logs don't show anything" and be sent on my way like I'm not a paying customer. CCP can you get something right on the first try for once maybe? I don't think it's too much to ask really, you have all the time in the world to test these things before you release them, so why don't you use that time instead of pushing things out before they're ready? I mean no one took the time to try and refit a ship from a ship maintenance array or an orca? If they had done so they would realize theres a MAJOR LAG PROBLEM and it makes refitting a ship in space the bigget hassle ever if you can even get through the process without rage-quitting. What's this I hear about aggression timers now applying to nullsec and w-space? No one saw that coming you say? Bah I say, proper testing can and will find most problems, I understand there are plenty of rare situational bugs that can and will occur after patching but the majority of what's in this thread could have been avoided. Being able to continue aggression on someone who has jumped out of a wormhole into highsec and not seeing any dev responses in the thread about it is commitment to excellence? OH and I want my freaking windows to collapse downward when they're docked on the bottom of the screen like they did pre-patch, most annoying thing ever, I'm not rearranging my windows just because some awesome coder broke the UI. ALSO fix the freakin bug where the forum eats the post and doesn't post it, it's been going on since the new forums opened.

Been downloading the 3 massive OFFLINE install files all day. Currently at 90% on the "1 of 2" file....so...my estimated time to have it all downloaded is sunday morning. And if it wasn't for the dl manager I'm using, I'm sure the dl would have failed COUNTLESS times by now.

From now on CCP.... DON'T release another piece of S***T until 2014 and ONLY after u TEST it on,the apparently NOT USED, TEST servers u have

Ok, now to add to my PI woes Sad, my Windows client isn't displaying Planet view mode now.
I just get a blank screen. I have to toggle on/off the Star Map to get to station/in-space view.
I think I'm running out of virtual memory---WinXP is complaining about it now & then.
I have Process Explorer which shows ExeFile.exe: private bytes @ 1,419, 300 K and working set @ 765,032 K.
Eve is easily the largest memory hog on my system.
And I only have 2GiB of . I tried putting in 4GiB RAM before, but, my 32-bit WinXP chokes on it.

Oh well, back to scanning.

CRUCIBLE 1.0.0 patch #3 (Part 1 of 2)

CORP BLUEPRINTS MISSING COLUMNS: Lovely upgrade. Not only is the type face annoying, but the CORP BLUEPRINTS tab is missing "columns"... which means, not only can I not see what is what, but if I scroll through, all unseen blueprints are missing any idea of an ME (or PE) - I actually have no idea what number I'm looking at. EXAMPLE: "Ogre SD-90 [lots of space] Combat Drone Blueprint [space] Blueprint [space 1 [space] No [space] 300" ......THAT'S ALL: NO column lines.. NO column headers for me to see what numbers are referring to what, and to top it of, when you scroll lower, ALL NUMBERS AND INFO FOR ANY BLUEPRINT IS SIMPLY NOT THERE. Top it off with A LACK OF COLUMN HEADERS, and you have yourself a REAL CLUSTER FRAK. Seriously...

TYPEFACE TOO LARGE: Several problems going on here with the "new typeface". It's too big... as in, it's too wide. You leave no option for anyone to type anything smaller than the "bolded" version provided, yet your system chat tabs and the annoying time and date are "thin". SO PAY ATTENTION TO EACH TYPEFACE RELATED ISSUE:

TYPEFACE ISSUE #1: All numbers are too big, and the "zero" is ridiculously "convoluted" or "large". Yet in the realm of symbols, they suck.

EXAMPLE of "suck": The time reads 0805. My corpmate's security state reads 55. A pipeline in my PI says 410%. On a large flatscreen 1080p screen, the thin version of your own font (that you don't let us be able to type) is terribly thought out. It is too thin and all SYMBOLS are too small and but up next to the left side of any number or letter. SO MUCH SO, that you can't read them. This is bad for reading the TIME, reading any mass PRICES on the MARKET, etc. CHANGE THE FONT, OR LET US CHANGE IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS.

TYPEFACE ISSUE #2: TOO BIG. For gods' sake, when a friend logs in, I see the "log in contact square" in the lower right hand corner... but i can't see their face because it is covered up by their name... Long names especially go beyong and ABOVE the square itself. What's the point of having a picture icon there? Another reason to CHANGE THE FONT, OR LET US CHANGE IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS.

TYPEFACE ISSUE #3: Font size too big that it also DESTROYS the "NEOCOM" interface and that the speed and "warping" notifications are jsut too big and misaligned bottom-heavy that interrupt the actual normal 100% aspect ration of the warp meter. SERIOUSLY, CHANGE THE FONT, OR LET US CHANGE IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS.

TYPEFACE ISSUE #4: Dare I even try to elaborate on the CEO and Alliance Interface? Now it's WAY TOO BIG and extends BEYOND the scope of the "width" of the screen and the arrows (as reported in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 - why do I even bother) the arrows to scroll further along "left" or "right" of options is simply non-responsive. So now cannot properly manage my own corporation (especially the give/take options for each container - or managing roles...) so CHANGE THE FONT, OR LET US CHANGE IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS. SERIOUSLY.

I MEAN IT: "SERIOUSLY" being defined as: IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GIVE IN-GAME FONT CHANGES A SERIOUS CONSIDERATION (...no, the 90% reduction only makes the "font suckage" worse) then: LET US DECIDE WHICH FONT WE WANT: Period.

SERIOUS VISUAL ILLNESS: IN-STATION CAMERA SEA-SICKNESS: Seriously? You guys thought it would be fun, instead of making the ships in the hangar move around slightly "adrift", to make the entire camera move about? Not good. It's sickening to have the entire station moving up, down right, left, etc while working in station. Please revert it back to just the ship actually moving in these directions... [It's becoming physically sickening to play this game now, on top of the drudgery of all the previous bugs a year or more old...] Look, you ended up giving us back the statio hangars because some of us wanted it... I'm only suggesting you should give US the option to choose whether we want the new EVE font.. or the old original version. And maybe, just maybe, that will also fix the CORP BLUEPRINTS issue.

PLANET HURTOKEN II: It's become (once again) the Rainbow Brite Empire Homeworld of pink, green and blue blob-like pixels... I have so many images I've submitted in bug reports for almost 2 years now about that one planet and no one seems to care. So there, I've said it again. Does ANYONE AT CCP care? Probably not, so why bother filing yet a third bug report about it?

WINDOW TRANSPARENCY "DOWN THE TUBES": Why bother with having the transparency of a game set when you just change it with each upgrade....? Now all my windows I can see through to the point that I can't see the windows. EWven "PINNING" the windows doesn't quite SOLIDIFY the window. Was this intentional? Again, it's one of the many things you left OUT of your list of patch/upgrade ptachnote changes.

And on an aesthetic note:

HORRIBLE BACKGROUND CHANGES... AGAIN: Why do you people bother changing so much visual "crap" when you do not bother fixing the important internal errors and bugs that seemt o follow and grow as the code of the game itself grows? All you do is worsen the game each time. Most notably was the starfield change in 2010. The stars were "softened" instead of the more realistic clean and clear stars... (the spraypaint spattered starfield crap)... then you changed the planets... (our HQ never used to be outside of a ringed dark planet until PI showed up)... and now, we were happy that, of all things (for example), we live in SAISIO... and that had always had a greenish background. I'm all for the idea of inserting nebulas etc, but you changed the entire background to a bluish cloud... with a red nebula. Why? Seriously, why?

PATCH INFO: By the way, did anyone in the office notice your "Patch info" button upon the immediate login screen is extremely out of date... it feels like even the game itself wishes it was rolled back to its previous "Incarna" tion... And I never thought I'd be saying that.

CRUCIBLE 1.0.0 patch #3 (Part 2 of 2)

PLANETARY INTERACTION: There are some serious mathematical problems going on with the constance of "scanner color" and the actual amount of what material is actual there... It simply does not add up. Been petitioning and bug reporting it since 9 months ago. Guess no one cares about that either.

That's all for now, that I noticed in one log in period.

Conclusion: "THUMBS DOWN" on the seemingly smallest, yet crucial things needed with this upgrade, and I haven't even ventured into combat, etc. Dare I even see what my captain's quarters look like or will it all be see-through floors like I've been documenting and bug reporting on for a year and still haven't heard anything from you people about it.

definitely agree with this.. and for me, the bottom says I have a remote research max of -1, yet I can remotely research blueprints 3 jumps away.. and yes i cannot see any columns or numbers.. i'm blindly researching by luck..

all your text points are valid and identically experienced by myself.. increasing and decreasing the UI does nothing to change the font itself and how it is spaced.. and than includes the horrible "zeros" and the lack of legibility to ANY symbols such as the ":" in the clock and also as see in the times for PI..

AGREED! seriously annoying, not to mention no one ever responded to my own petition about how those of use who choose to use the hangar-view mode have NO SOUNDS to hear.. it removes us from the immersion of the game and seriously creates even more of a visually sickening feeling now when you have movement happening while assumable being still in a station..

it's not mentioned in the TOS, as the epilepsy warning is, and the hangars were not like thiss before INCURIBLE expansion..

CCP is back to the old ways again.. don't bother fixing the core problems mentioned by other players but instead, shove out crap code, not fixing the older problems, but instead creating MORE, NEWER problems..

this isn't an expansion.. it's a pathetic large patch that crashed when i installed it, and made me download the entire client to play.. and i was hoping for something more, but all i see are errors.

1. Refitting in space makes the client become unresponsive for about 10 seconds. Refitting multiple modules is a pain in the arse!

2. Fitting screen doesnt take ship bonuses into account. Fitting a covert cloak on a covert ops and it gave me the message that 10000 cpu was required and the fitting screen showed it as offline however it had actually fitted and onlined the module.

These both happen for everyone every time.

Ok, some minor PI bugs:

-When after opening a Custom office view, moving materials from the planet to the custom's office and hitting the transfer button. Custom of window closes.
-Therefore, in order to move those materials to your cargo hold you have to open the custom's office again.

-When warping away from previously open custom's office the custom's office does not close automatically, like it did before.
- Now, you have to manually close it.

-When moving large qunatities of material from custom's office to planet receive a strange warning message:
5576 or similar quantity of materials cannot be move to planet. Only 10000 space on planet. (sorry, can't remember exact wording). The 10000 should display the remainding space not gross space.
- This happens even though there is enough space on the planet.
-For example today tried to move 5576, used space was 1421 out of 10000 but still the warning.
- However, if i moved them individually then it allowed all of them to be moved to planet.
