Caroline's Star and Jump Fatigue, is there a connection?

This new celestial object is cause for concern, in the capsuleer community.
My thoughts, on the matter:

Jump Fatigue is a ingame mechanic implemented from OOC reasons.. why should all stuff change in the game be forced to be IC/part of lore.

While the game developers may have put these changes in motion to facilitate game play from a mechanical stand point, it certainly doesn't hurt to add a little flavor. Smile

Whether you love the lore, or think it's just fluff that gets in the way: it's part of the game.

Embrace the lore!

I certainly respect the sandbox, and would encourage everyone to enjoy EVE as they see fit. I wouldn't necessarily classify one players wild speculations as "forcing" another players interpretations of in game events and changes though.

However, you have to admit; the theory flows rather elegantly, Yes?

I like lore but like many more people i want more world building lore(more info about society, economy, warfere, technology, local and global politics and more).

But there is no, need, for such dramatic, pauses in your sentences.

Maybe I'm losing it but the 'Caroline's Star' seems to be getting bigger, or closer.

It was an explosion. You can clearly see the debris cloud/nebula.

As far as the addition of jump fatigue my understanding was that it would be best explained by CONCORD disabling safety features in Capsules.

All Capsules were created by the Jove, and the Jove did if I remember right give CONCORD some toys. Also I think in the novels it is mentioned FTL travel causes naseua and other bad stuff to baseliners. Doesn't affect Capsuleers. Us pesky eggers are pushing the bounds. Messing with wormholes, ghost sites, etc. It would make sense that they might want to yank us back. Remove certain Capsule safeguards.

I would really love it if a small news story from CONCORD was posted. Fessing up to causing Capsuleer jump fatigue. Feel free to use that idea, CCP.
