I very welcome those changes! CCP is on the right path, you can see this alone on how fun it is to read 200 pages full of tears, with every post I read containing virtual tears I really enjoy EVE even more, so thanks CCP, and thank you blue donut for so many enjoyable internet spaceships interactions (for now outside the game).

I'm not quitting, if I did I wouldn't be in position to link snarky DEV replies Ad nauseam when those of us who counseled against old failed thinking are proved correct for that 10,000th time and the situation is worse than it is today . OF COURSE it would be better (for everyone) if this didn't come to pass, but win win for us I guess Twisted

I have a solution:

1. Remove concord and every other NPC combatant
2. Remove sec status of systems
3. evenly distribute resources like moon goo, ore, ice and so on
4. Make every system the same true sec
5. remove WH's
6. profit

Though all the 'Eve is dying' shtick may be a long standing joke this game has clearly been on the decline for several years. What I would have thought was needed was an expansion or update that was almost universally well received. This really doesn't appear to be that expansion.

If these changes go ahead subscription numbers will drop, if you believe otherwise you are delusional. Can Eve survive with a 10% drop in subscribers? Probably, But CCP and Eve will be in a far worse position for it and the game (and the company) will then need a 'Jesus feature' to turn it's fortunes around. Do we see that 'Jesus feature' on the horizon? Player built star-gates maybe? But unless they're going to lead somewhere that actually contains new and interesting content then I can't see the buzz lasting too long.

I didn't find out until just last week that they weren't allowed to be in null sec. That was a shocker, but did explain a few things.

That statement is not accurate. EVE developers are definitely permitted to play the game in any region on their personal accounts.

If only the null sec designers & developers played in sov null!

Dear alliance members

In light of the proposed changes to capital deployment, we have at leadership level decided to focus our activities on capital manufacturing for the next 3 months.

I want every alliance member concentrating on:
1. buying capital pilots that are currently going on firesale
2. buying and building capitals

A list of strategic systems will be posted on our forums of where to store your capitals. Many players are claiming this change will stop force projection, we thought about it and rather than not adapt our aim is to have a capital fleet at our disposal in any area of the map. Our solution is quite simple focus on capital readiness by having capitals "to-go" in any area of eve. It will only take you 20 minutes - 30 minutes to use the jump bridges to high sec and move your pod across New Eden to our strategically placed capitals.

You all know me and I am all about adapting, this is us adapting.

See you on the battlefield
Alliance leaders

Gotta love this.

If that letter is real then it really depends on the size of the alliance and number of systems they intend to have capitals in. Most players have at most one carrier and one dread. Telling them all to suddenly acquire a few hundred capitals and dozens of capital arts each is simply a joke.

Not at all. Like I said numbers don't lie and I am laughing at your naïve conception of what will happen. You can not move expensive goods through low sec gates in a consistent fashion without losing all of it. I can tell you have never done logistics or you would not be spouting off what you have no idea about. You think you are going to get a piece of the pie somehow but the big alliances will make sure you don't get a crumb. You think when this goes into effect that they wont camp all the choke points to make a point to the devs ? I have 11 years to back up what I am saying which has been put forth logically. Like I said the number of subs vs unsubbs after this goes into effect will back up what I am saying. I HOPE I am wrong.

As i Said, and you were unable to read. I did logistic when there were no jump freighters. And it was NOT as you say it will be. Yes it needed a bit more involvement. I needed you to play the game. I have not 11 year playing, only 9 but is mroe than enough.

No I do not think I am going to get a piece of the pie. I will KILL SHIPS and playe the damm game because there will be more ships flying in the game.

And numbers do not lie? you presented NOT A SINGLE NUMBER!!!!!

I unsubbed all my accounts, do you have some that have added to that number ? That is a fact so there is a number of accounts less because of this upcoming upgrade. I know if I don't support a product I don't pay for it. I hope it changes but I doubt it. For the first time in a long time my mining fleet is not up. Shrug.

There were also people resubbing because of the coming changes, so nothing has changed really in the number of accounts. Or maybe not, I could pull a number out of my ass claiming account numbers are going up, but that would be silly. P

Need numbers and the source. Thank you.

Honestly for blops, just let them be exempt from the changes, also buff the HP by 10% so they might have a little more staying power. Scan res buffs are welcome as well :D

If there is no way for a BLOP BS to become a jump freighter substitute then I totally for this. Anything to promote/preserve any form of PVP is a go in my book.

That's impossible. Eve players are always mad about ANY type of change in their game.

anyway i really don't think this will do much to most alliances

it will kill JF but it will simply increase the use of wormholes

i just wish they give jf pilots who trained hard to get a now obsolete skill the option of getting the sp reimbursed

i mean sure it will suck for my carrier but in the end my carrier can fight and in group defend itself pretty well so unless there is a big gang on the other side of the gate i will be ok when in a fleet

a JF however ... well it's pretty much an easy target even in a fleet it doesn't take much to take it out unless you abandon all cargo

so you are better of with a regular freighter you can slap in reinforced bulkheads and still have more cargo not to mention costs a lot less

so in short for most of null jumpfreighters will no longer be a valid option

if that is what ccp chooses to do so be it but at least give us the chance to get the sp back we wasted on it

I think we're here beaking the current null not because it's 2 massive empires are vibrant and happy, but because it is stale, boring and only ISBoxers log in if there isn't a timer involved. Your large empires are teh suxors and logins are proving it.

Also to add one more thing. Our empire is quite vibrant and happy. We are now producing T1 and T2 modules and ships in 0.0 on a scale this game has never seen before but if these changes go through we will no longer be able to import the required materials to sustain this production.

Bleh, T2 production existed in null long before JF. It's called Freighters, with combat escort. You know, actually having to protect the industrial based that makes the ships we like to make explode.

I'd be happy w/ no JFs personally, but I know that won't happen.

I don't think you understand the scale we are talking. I don't have exact numbers but I know we have over 2,000 reaction towers that need materials that are not from our space. That kind of logistics is not possible without the use of jump freighters and making it so you have to spend 4x the time moving things is just going to make people quit. Not to mention the effects on the economy.

Clue. That's the objective.

Effects on your economy you mean.

My economy is your economy.
