Also i have read a lot of posts i can see PL actually coming out on top of this as the power alliance, mostly because all the PL members I know I met back in 06 and 07 out in cloud ring or drone regions or in branch. They still remember doing large escort fleets from high to null or null and back with freighters. With experience and vet status they will easily adapt to this change

CCP can we get the nano phoon back then :D

Why Can't I have a picture signature.

Also please support graphical immersion, bring back the art that brought people to EvE online originaly.

If CCP will apply these changes, i'll cancel all my subsciprions, and i'm sure thousands of people will do the same.
It woun't be a game i'd like to pay for.

I have about 300 active subscriptions, will be keeping all of them.

That's great you will be able to play with yourself in private now...

Seriously? Obvious troll is obvious.

Considering what this dude does on the character bazaar I have no problem believing that number.

Welp if that is true, he isn't keeping them now is he? He is trading them. Anyway. Off topic.
These changes will make his carrier and titan pilots more valuable as people will need alts to ferry them.

yes that is 2.43 millennium.

Just to play Devils Advocate here a bit if you wait out the fatigue timer instead of just the jump timer you can run this exact route in around 14 hours.

Yup, there's a lot of smart optimization opportunities here.

To be fair I still think 14 hours is a hell of a long time to need to wait to take your cap round space. Numbers might need a touch of work.

Why, don't you feel like taking a day off your your job just so you can move your Capital Ship in a spaceship game?

Was a bit upset at first, but they are not touching black ops range..so in my mind that is just going to make black ops fleets better. Going to have lots of capitals to hunt on gate.

will dread/carrier/super roams be a thing now?

And are supers included in the gate to gate travel?

Ok, I have pis*ed on Cyno mechanics many many times... but even I can say that these changes feels completely... wierd...

What I find most wierd is that you can instantly travel from one spot to the other many lightyears away instantly. THAT is the problem if you ask me. Sure jump chains are also an issue, but to me artificial timers just feels wrong on so many levels.

To me it would be much more logical if it was the jump itself that took the time. Lets just say that a carrier can fly 1 LY / minute. So if you do a 5 LY jump you have to sit and wait 5 minutes before the jump is complete. If the cyno ship is killed during this time you spread out more and more because you dont have the lock any more.

After this travel you end up in the system and then you can instantly jump again.

It should be the jump that takes time, not the time in between jumps.

CCP, why did you kill my corp?

Yes, I know the jump fatigue isn't as bad in a jump freighter but with the new jump ranges we will simply be unable to deliver to some systems. Our customers should expect much slower service and limited delivery areas after this change.

If it was only the range issue then it wouldn't be that bad. Sure, deliveries would take longer (and probably cost more).

The removal of deathcloning is worse though. You now have to move all those cynos around by flying through space, which is going to take time.

Edit: Okay, I take that back. The 5 ly limit is pretty bad. It means some places you have to take some major detours. For example, try getting from Derelik to Curse. Shortest jump is Podion -> Doril which is 5.3 ly. Avoiding sov-space make that 5.3 ly into 8 jumps...

I was actually completely for these changes, until I thought about Black and Red frog.

Dude, you would have to actually be in hisec to Jita riot. No one that lives in hisec is even going to notice. There will be no Jita riots.

I seriously doubt the loss of a couple hundred accounts, or even a thousand, is going to kill eve.

Hell, even 5 years ago you could roam nul or losec and get fights without worrying about PL/BL or whomever hotdropping your fleet because they weren't in the area. Now there are so many capital pilots and ships that no matter where you are, if there is more than 5B isk on the line, you are virtually guaranteed to get some bored capital involvement in your fight.

Also...

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

To all of you saying CCP are killing nulsec, open your eyes. You killed it with your constant interference, "e-honoureable 3rd-partying", hotdrop fuckery, non-interferenece accords, and rental empires. Welcome to the house that YOU built.

CCP, what do you think about the following changes? I made a post on reddit detailing good things(cap jump drive nerfs) and bad things (detailed below) and it received quite positive feedback, indicating that many people would agree?

Fixes for this IMO:
*No fatigue/cooldown on JF/rorqual OR Jump bridges (for non-capitals at least)
*Don't nerf medical clones, perhaps add a timer or a range on them (or induce jump fatigue which would accomplish exactly what you want to avoid by nerfing them, namely a pod-jump and subsequent capital jump)

Dear CCP,

One of these changes would have done an effective job of affecting the play in 0.0.
However you slap 4 major changes in.
1. Range - 14.25 to 5..... 300% nerf. u wont even be able to jump to the next system in some pipes, "thats what gates are for, CCP logic".
2. Fatigue, by itself just may have worked, the times are crazy.
3. The extra pointless extender of jump fatigue cause 1+(ly jumped) minutes between jumps isnt enough. lol.
4. jump clones, the main purpose of offices was to jump clone around. good luck having 2-3 fingers in different pies to make isk now.

the jump fatigue idea i like, as i discussed on another post, the levels of which your suggesting is simple cruel.

The change to the jump range makes owning a JF/any capital ship pointless. 8ly is viable for somethings.. but 5ly.. why bother.

Black ops... why don't they and the covert pilots they bridge get the reduction. their whole purpose is hit and run. cause its not like they don't do 2 jumps every time they are used at least.

the jump restrictions.... fortress almost any null sec region is back... camp 3 systems..and have scouts in the other pipe and your safe, cause no one can resupply or even enter without using them after the first month has past.

If these changes come in officially without being worked on, 14 accounts un-subbed the next day.

Let's take a quick look at what we're saying here folks:
- 5LY jump range (same for all caps and JF)
- 20LY max range before fatigue
- Low sec Doomsday

= Less power projection!

No, this means that the big alliances can just put their supers and titans all over the map and the little guys will be in even more trouble.

What started out as a nerf to the big powers will hurt the common man much more!

[quote=Coreemo]Also, the whole "fix" to deathcloning is a really bad idea. We need SOME way to quickly deploy to a hot area that requires it.

Why? (Serious question.)

The majority of players want to pvp, the best content you can get is by showing up to a pvp battle. Tidi makes it take hours to even get to a pvp battle. Atleast death cloning allows you to get there faster to actually be engaged in having some sort of fun in this game. People play games to have fun.

Is this a joke? Are you people trying to just GIVE us the game? Look, I enjoy our Norther Supremacy as much as the next guy, but you people don't have to go and code it into the damned game. I'll never have to leave Deklein again.

Worst ideas EVER. I mean just terrible. Take every stinking bit of it back to the drawing board. Overly complex. Uselessly opaque. Directly flies in the face of darned near 5 years of game dev. Gonna make large swaths of null ghost towns. Futher enshrines Deklein as unassaultable.

And honestly, do you think any sane human in his right mind is going to move a cap fleet through gates? When was the last time you people actually warped a super cap? " Oh, yes...lets fleet warp a team of supers through Pure Blind. We hit x70. You guys go see a movie and have dinner. I'll ping jabber when we land."

Also, why in gods name are you trying to make it harder to get to pvp? The entire point of jump clones, death clones, and jump drives is so you can get into pvp. Are you saying you want less pvp in your pvp game? I mean that's the only logical result of any changes to death clones and jump drives.

Why not put a timer on normal warp, in my oppinion the fleets can warp way to often. Slowboating is enough.
