This is a truely awesome change. I can't wait to see how sob null pans out.

Also, it is essential that the cooldowns apply to pilots AND SHIPS.

if you miss this part the larger alliances will just use jump capable alts in their cyno chain to pass caps on to one another only to pass it to a fresh combat capable pilot at the end of the chain.

Why not leave ranges about where they are and rather then a set fatigue make it random like booster side effects the more you have been jumping the more sever it would be (can even use the same numbers) this will be easier on small groups but could be hell if 1/3 of your large cap fleet suddenly has 32hr timer.

There's also one more factor CCP seem to forget about sometimes... this new mechanic isn't fun whilst games need to be balanced, they do also need to actually offer fun and reward.

People (including myself, someone living in empire at the moment and not using jump ships) generally feel they've accomplished something when they obtain their first capital, they are fun ships, when I first got my carrierI d**ked about jumping all over the place, friend wanted me to join him 5 jumps away? SURE! let me put my exhumer in my carrier and jump to you!

People who are use to the above are not going to find arbitrary cooldowns fun. there has to be another way to limit projection in an effective way without making people feel like they don't even want fly a capital ship anymore.

So obvious.

maybe its time for a new event..

im not CODE.. nor a supporter.. but they seem to be on the right track about how to ruin the game in a sense.. what if all of Null sec dove inward to empire and starting just blowing EVERYTHING up.. dont be as picky as the code.. i mean EVERYTHING.. that your POS? war dec and dead.. that your ice mining crew.. dead.. that your level 4 burner mission? we just stole your bounty.. oh you wanted to do incursions sorry we kill you too..

give up what you "love" by self destructing it and ruin other peoples sand castles and then leave the game chances are some of the victims will even leave knowing they are victims of a dev note blog thats gone super viral. at 3000+ comments.

if you want to make this game die.. a dev blog like this only ruins the fun for null sec.. take away the high sec kids toys too... come null sec alliances.. come show high sec how fun it is to destroy stuff en mass and show CCP that you dont need dreads/titans/carriers/JF's to destroy the stuff people worked on saving up for.

dont forget.. after you ruined everything they own and have nothing yourself left to lose to unsub so CCP is the final victim in this game.

But you assume too much.

If you actually read the 155 pages, you'd see that a large chunk of us are defending these changes and praying they actually make it into effect.

Those of us who have been getting hot dropped by 12 carriers in 10 man cruiser fleets have been told to HTFU for years, and now when they take those casual hot drops away, we're not allowed to say HTFU? Incredible. Simply mind boggling.

Also, the "This effects the smaller guys more than us" argument is effing hilarious. There's no way anyone in the CFC would take the time to drop by the forums and fight for the little guy. Really. I believe you. Like seriously, thanks for looking out for us for the past five years, how nice of you to suddenly show up and support us now that you've spent half a decade raking in trillions of renter ISK from us.

*sigh*...

The announce changes won't stop that. If you were genuinely hot-dropped by 12 carriers, simply so they could kill a dozen cruisers, they were local carriers, they will still happily do that after this change, if you think some alliance in Vale jumped 7 jumps to kill your cruiser gang in Delve, you are very very mistaken.

Can supers use gates after this change?
Yes.

Does this make it too difficult for new pilots to get out into 0.0?
Yes, it probably does. We are going to look at this tomorrow to try and make this easier.

Is the balance for Black Ops final?
No. Please give feedback!

The math about the minimum jump timer is inconsistent in the blog, right?
Yes, it is, I'll fix it as soon as I have time, thread's moving too fast atm!

Very large fatigue values will take a loooong time to decay, is this too much?
Possibly yes, we'll have a look at this.

@ CCP Greyscale

You do realise that most people playing this game are adults with real jobs and life, who play this game for fun.

Most people have no ambition / patience / intention to wait 3 days moving a capital ship a few dozen LY.

Yes go ahead and take the fun away by creating yet another time sink.

If you are intending to limit power projection, limit amount of ships that can be bridged / jumped / maximum mass allowed to enter into a system / day or something like that, not jump fatique which is such a terrible idea I cannot even describe.

THAT! Its a very innefective solution and that takes a lot of the fun of the game.

CCP need solutions that make better for peopel PLAYING, not people WORKING the game.

The huge groups will surely have enough no life people that can keep movign their ships while at work , resultign very little effect. But the single persons that PAY this game (i.e do not use plex for subs are majority few hours pwe week players.

BE careful CCP on changes that harm SPECIALLY the people that REALLY give all the money that ccp earns.

The problem is that any system that caters to the "casual" player base will be exploited by the "hardcore" player base.

Given the choice, I would rather have a game that is slightly inconvenient to play for some of the players, than a game that is completely broken for all of the players.

Cruisers Online. Thanks a fuckton CCP. I have like an hour maximum a day to play the game, and now I have to spend it in both TiDi AND Jump Fatigue?

So the only gameplay you had was to drop a random carrier in 20 SC 5 regions away. You total fukwad. GTFO you will not be missed.

Ok I have no experience with sov warfare or with using anything larger then a cruiser so this is just a lay mans opinion.
I believe this will really help null sec, atm it's too static, nothing seems to change and it's dominated by the large coalitions. This will give the small corps and alliances a chance to get a foothold in null like they've wanted, but been unable, to.

Large alliances will be forced to spread their fleets out and try to defend everything or consolidate around key systems and choke points and let a few systems fall. You may even see coordinated multi pronged attacks by smaller alliances ganging up on the larger ones. Then once everything has been divided these small groups will turn on each other, nullsec will be constantly changing. I also believe manufacturing will have to be done on a more local level, with fleets fiercely defending their industrial heartland.
The caps in lowsec change is also interesting, you could see fleets of caps crossing lowsec hoping to attack their enemies in null from a unexpected system, getting behind their lines if you like.
On a minor note, I'm looking forward to these changes as a lowsec salvager as we may start to see more vaulable wrecks in low. Blink
As I said the only experience I have with sov null is what I've read, but these are my opinions.

That's the sad part - you know you're killing the game with it, you know you're forcing these chances upon New Eden because you're too lazy to change something about it. Don't blame CCP for it, seriously. They gave us all the tools to shape nullsec and well, look at how dull it became.

And you're wrong, the mechanics determine how the players behave, it's not the other way around.

After that i stoped reading, cause you dont read too.
Look at this thread, ther isnt just QQing or flaming/hating and "I will unsub", no there are ideas how to do it better or positiv feedback too.
And it doesnt matter WHAT CCP change in 0.0, because EVERY change in 0.0 will make the perople in 0.0 cry

No it don't just don't take away the jet and give us a horse carriage again. No one here is crying they are trying to stop CCP from an utter disaster.

Well, post with nothing in it but
"I unsubbed my 20 accounts, gg CCP and **** you"
Arent helpful and thats what i call crying.

the more I read this thread, the more I see its what eve needs. yes it does hurt people who live in the ass end of no where (cobalt, paragon soul) it don't hurt much when you get around to planning.

maybe you stated things a little wrongly so that people are doing the knee jerk reaction, but the way I see it is people stop trying to rush jumping, they wont have any issues. 50 min wait between jumps to avoid fatigue isn't too bad, rather it was 20mins (0.25 decrease)

But stick with it. the game needs this kind of change. I would love to see carrier roams (just for the hilarity of a carrier trying to catch a ratter)

Good job, its about time things were changed in a drastic manor

Feedback: If you make everything in the game take longer, those of us with jobs won't be able to play anymore. CCP Greyscale's own example takes a two-minute journey and changes it to an hour? That's a 3000% increase in TIME WASTED. I work for a living, people. I don't have time to stare at the stars all day so your CCP graphs and charts can look better.

Redistribute moon, ice, asteroids/minerals and anything else that is region-specific. A single nullsec region has to have to capability to be self-sufficient if these changes are to work - and that includes T2 production. T3 production is a special snowflake circumstance, that will always need to be imported. If CCP want to cripple the highsec/nullsec logistics chain, then they MUST first give us the tools to function without it.

If you can't get certain things in your region … won't you need to sneak into someone else's region to find it?

With large gaps between some regions … won't some regions become valuable for their isolation alone?

This isnt all 'rage' about jump changes, its good honest discussion being drowned out in a sea of delicious tears from nullbears because its making eve 'hard' its a shame that the folk think ccp will turn fully around, there might be a change or 2, but this is whats coming. Adapt or leave. Wormholes got hit a few patches ago. WE ADAPTED, time for null to do the same

Why do you need to travel? You have a friend 10 regions away? You need to get involved in a fight you're not supposed to be involved? If you really want to stick your nose that much in someone's else problem them ye travel days to get there or take the gates...
