Tell me about your prescription charges ....... you do have prescription charges right ??
Any idea how much annually that actually costs. ?

The cost of the free prescriptions in Scotland is... that several treatments for a substantial array of ailments, are not offered at all in Scotland, on cost grounds, while those treatments are available on the NHS in the rest of the UK.

Some other specialist services are not offered in Scotland, but are offered in the rest of the UK.

That's the cost of free prescriptions.

Just as how the cost of free university education, is the reduction in places in further education, leading to a hollowing out of opportunities for young people, and for older people looking to change career.
If you've got the right skills to pass exams, you can pass them at university, and then be overqualified/underexperienced for the jobs that are available. If you don't have exam skills, your options are much reduced - try and find a college course, or resign yourself to a lifetime of unskilled work.

Just the facts.

As an aside, this forum is visited and posted on by EvE players from around the globe. Talking about certain topics in general is ok, but gearing it down to one nation only and judging everything that is happening (globally) from that point is not. The reason being: virtually always it leads to discussing (international) politics. And that is prohibited on this forum.

I don't have a dog in this fight but I would be entertained if, in celebration, the Scots got heinously drunk and sacked York.
