I'm having problems with the market analysis tool. Whenever I click on the 'import data' button and select my region/item type, it just continues running, and fills up with lots of 'unable to write' messages.

CREST is broken since last eve update.

Ah ok. Is there a way to get around this?

I wanna join up. I think I got what it takes to be a Citizen.

New version will switch to ESI, but it also throws errors.

I'm curious if someone might be able to tell me what I'm doing wrong attempting to set up the Market Analysis section of Evernus. Even after setting up the market analysis tool I'm not receiving any data. I'm curious if I'm just being a dunce and forgetting something.

Image of my setup: http://pasteboard.co/HCggF7szI.png

I've imported market data using the Import data button and selected a source and destination. I've also made sure to define a my source as a "buy" and my destination as a "sell". I've removed volume and margin filters to be sure I get some sort of result but even then I'm receiving nothing. I've made sure to download the experimental build that solves the "Unable to write" error, but I'm not sure if this problem is user error or an actual defect.

Hi, just read the last 4-5 pages.

Tl;drf Current data source is Crest, which is giving error. There's a link to download a beta version which is based on ESI datasource, which is less buggy, and is working for me.

When you import data, does the request counter show more than 0 requests? If yes, then try to remove any filters and see if there's data.

Edit: I'm a dumdum who decided to forget to use the Source and Destination Region dropdowns when defining the stations to determine margin between. I thought that defining the station using the station button next to the dropdowns was enough.

Please feel free to endlessly mock me...

Pete Butcher , thanks for the app.

I've just started using it and have a small problem (or misunderstanding).
I'm using the "Import prices from the Web" option on the "Assets" tab but I'm seeing quite a lot of items that still have a "Local unit sell price" of zero after downloading from the servers.

In preferences I have set "Import -> Source -> Web Importer" to 'Eve-Central'", and I have reduced the number of CREST requests to 20 on the "Network" page (after reading the preceeding posts here).

When I run the import, I get the message "CREST import: waiting for XX server replies."

Where XX = 1300+ servers and counts down over time. At the end of the import, the message changes to "Imported X orders" where X was around 49900 when I downloaded a few minutes ago.

Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Nap

Is there any way to set the buy order range for the character orders page? So that the FPC feature can look out 1 jump away? Say you set custom station to Jita and you'd like it to look out to see all of Perimeters orders as well?

ATM - no. Only the Margin Tool has that capability.

Fun fact: the software is so damn advanced right now, I really couldn't tell without looking through the code.

With the 1.48 update, has anything changed with the "Import Prices" functionality of the Orders tab(s)?

I'm used to using the FPC feature by exporting my various character orders within EVE, importing these into Evernus with "File Import", then using "Import Prices -> From Web" to set up FPC to see the differences between my latest orders the latest market orders. Then the FPC hotkey lets me paste an updated price into EVE.

Using this same flow today, none of the orders have any market prices imported. Evernus sees each of my own orders' prices, but not the updated market prices; none of my overbid orders are highlighted in red backgrounds, for instance.

I had been fiddling with the "default custom station" setting (since turned off), and I'm worried I mistakenly screwed something up.

The custom station is the problem. When you imported your orders, all of them got that station assigned. Now you need to remove it.

This does seem to have been the root problem, as starting things up today it worked as expected. Thanks for the response!

However I wonder if the custom station value get cached somehow? One of my first steps yesterday was to remove the custom station in Preferences, and restart Evernus a handful of times, to no avail. It wasn't until today (many hours and PC reboots later) that things got back to normal.

As a follow-up, is this one way how the Custom Station is intended to be used - in tandem with the FPC to compare your own orders within a citadel to other orders within the same citadel? Or am I missing the point of the custom station setting entirely?

Short explanation: Eve servers are bad. Try again until it works.

it seems as though there is a problem with the 5% volume prices, it's always choosing the highest sell price, ive tried fiddling with the bogus order threshold but it doesnt seem to be making any difference, i did the manual bogus threshold calculation and some of the orders that should be ignored are not.

this problem has only started since the newest update.

EDIT: Fixed had to do a reinstall

Hi,

When I try to copy paste market analysis (inter-region) data to excel, it's all wierd. Used to work just fine in previous versions...
