Quick question:

How do I get the Market Analysis tab to work? I've limited the region, the margin, the item types, etc... but still can't see any items pop up...

Have you set the filters on the toolbar correctly?

What do you mean? Can you link the correct toolbar configuration instructions so I can follow what you are referring to? Sorry.

Notes:
I have the "don't save imported orders" and " ignore type w..." boxes checked.
I have the region selected as the forge as an example.
Limit to solar system all; and margin set between 35 and 40% to limit the data output.
When I select import data I select the region "the forge" and limit the types to 'ammunition & charges" and "ship equipment". again trying to limit the data so something will show in the analyzing screen/tab.

That's a very tight margin you set. Try importing and removing all filters (remember setting the correct region). You should see something. Also take note if there are really crest requests being sent - you should see a counter while the import takes place.
If there is still nothing even with no filtering applied, let me know.

Okay I'll try again. removed margin limit. Kept everything else the same. count started at 3170 and counts down...history upload completes....order server breaks right before it completes with a red icon. No information is given. Nothin shows on the market analysis tab when i close the loading window

As a side note; what is the difference between the region selected on the analysis tab, and the region selected when in the import window?

So we know the problem. Red icon indicates error. If you don't see any text, try resizing the window until it appears.
You can select multiple regions to import and just filter the desired one later, hence the double region selects.

"So we know the problem. Red icon indicates error. If you don't see any text, try resizing the window until it appears. "

- Correct. I can't seem to get the window to stop loading, so i can't copy and paste all the error reports. - Basically they are bad gatecode issues.

"You can select multiple regions to import and just filter the desired one later, hence the double region selects."

-So you mean its checking between both regions?
Which region selection (analysis tab, or import data window) is the primary search?

Bad gateway means the CREST server couldn't handle such load. It's a bit of a **** up on ccp part. Reduce the number of threads in the preferences.
As for the regions - if you select multiple, it will fetch them all. You can then use the filters to switch between them.

so whats the solution on how to get this tab to work? i have it narrowed down to only one region (the forge) and two item types... ill give it a go when i get to my pc to try it in heimatars so there wont be as many data points as from jita.

A side question: How come sometimes when I import the market data, the margin tool fills in both the buy and sell data -showing the margin like its supposed to- but other times its only the sell data or buy data it captures?

Go to the preferences and reduce CREST thread count until it works.

Maybe there are no buy/sell orders for that station.

Was noticed this weekend at jita. i changed the station to jita in the advanced tab, but still had this problem.

I think its a problem more with the userr than the developer or program. i just dont know the correct settings (havent found any tabs for preferances that the help refers to). - ill try sending images asap

Turn off alternative import method and see if it helps.

EDIT: Also make sure you have imported orders for Jita (so the buy value gets updated when using custom station) and make sure there are sell orders in the current station.

Hi Pete,

I've managed to compile and install Evernus on Linux Mint 17 using Qt5.4.

When I attempt to run the program, I receive the following error in the terminal:

evernus: symbol lookup error: evernus: undefined symbol: _ZN6QDebugD1Ev

Any idea what could be up?

Interesting, your dynamic linker cannot find the destructor of QDebug. What Qt version are you linking against?

Hi Pete. I am just diving into Evernus and really trying to learn the ins and outs of the software.

One thing that bothers me is that the format of the numbers is "ISKXXXX". Is there a way to remove the ISK from the sell/buy prices? I'm sure this is just a formatting thing but there didn't seem to be an option in the Preferences menu.

Thanks for the great tool!

There is an option for it in the preferences (general, if I remember correctly).

It was a checkbox, Omit Currency Symbol. Apparently I am blind. Thank you!

Thank you for the development of this program Pete Butcher, it really is the best one out there. One thing that I miss is the option to minimise the window of the margin tool.

Last week or so the Crest importing works slow as hell, am i the only one? Before that it took like 20 secs to import like 250 orders... now it takes +2/3 minutes and sometimes it even hangs!

For me it works with the same speed, so it's either your network or you're hitting some very popular proxy.

Guess you're right, I've started using a new VPN for Netflix and that could be the problem...

Awesome tool, been using it for several months! Thanks! :)
