You want specific examples and then gave your self 2.
Any missions where you don't have to kill tons of enemies and where speed can be useful. There are plenty of them.
And with the Medium MJD coming out I suspect BC will be used more for missions as well to some degree.

no, i mean, like, those are the only ones I can think of. I do missions in 3 different regions on a regular bases.... those are the only ones that come time mind

I'm just confused.

You want content that gives greater rewards for using cheaper equipment with lower training times, and list miners using more expensive mining ships to get greater rewards & pvpers using faction gear as examples of where this exists. Question

I don't even know where you are going with this...

this would be an investment / reward scheme.

Example.
To use one of these agents, I might need / want a good BS, BC, ABC, Cruiser, Destroyer and frig at the station. Along with proper ammo, fits, SP, etc.

If i didnt have these things, I would need to decline missions which would lower standing and eventually prevent me from being able to do these missions. Or wait for 4 hours after I get a mission I dont meet the req for / dont have remaining declines.

The goal is to make this something something you must invest into in order to be run profitably + give an incentive to use something other than a BS. For making the investment, you might be rewarded with being 10% or so more profitable than level 4s.

No one.

Strategic cruisers just need to be nerfed, that's all.

I'd like to see missions with rats that scatter their fire to multiple pilots, giving a stronger advantage to running missions with friends. I'd also like to see less ability for large player ships to shoot small ships, rather than just making missions that disallow large ships. This is a thing in gaming known as "actual content". Contrast with "fake difficulty".

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."

You just said you use expensive stuff either to perform better in a fleet and to get more kills. How is what I said wrong? This isn't wow where you are nearly godlike compared to a challenger in low gear or what have you. But at the end of the day, you fit meta4 for many of the same reasons you fit meta4

No... I never said that my expensive equipment would "outperform" the cheaper equipment... I somewhat implied the opposite (again... because everyone in the area you are flying in will come gunning for your expensive ship unless you are flying with people who can save/support you)... and that's pretty much the entire idea about flying expensive ships in PvP (you WANT people to come after you).

For example: which are you more inclined to chase after and kill? A Condor or a Hawk? A Tristan or a Keres? A Crusader or a Navy Slicer?

And to expand on this...

- expensive ships are often WORSE than cheaper ships because they tend to be more tactically inflexible (this especially applies to Tech 2 ships as well as larger ships)... being very good in one or two situations and/or tactics and not good at anything else.
- expensive equipment, while generally better than cheaper variants, are often not worthwhile to fit when people are trying to kill you on regular basis.

Basically it's all a balancing act between how much cost and effort should you invest in any activity... with the end goal being maximum fun or profit (experience has taught me that you can't have both... in-game or in real life).

I don't know about you... but I PREFER to invest as little as possible for maximum amounts of both as I fully realize that there are no guarentees for anything.

Chaos, what I told you? I just left here for one day, look the trouble you got yourself into! xD
It is hard to hold back without giving glimpse, when a suggestion about pve is given.
All those answers, ~70% pvp related stuff.

*Some* of you guys never learn. I want to do pvp? I do pvp. I wanted to do pve? I do pve.

I've been doing pve for 5 years. I did missions without any pvp content involved and so-called "red-flashies" show up. None of you cared about me doing a mission somewhere in space with my shiny, and I didn't care about your pvp or blitzing hunger in somewhere else neither.

Chaos had a legimite suggestion for pve content, for improving pve quality. There are people who answered from pve perspective and I respect that. For those who are BS'ing about pvp/pve fits in the deep null, I suggest reading the title and OP's suggestion. It is nothing to do with what you're BS'ing around.

Why the hell you even posted here? I wonder...

_Half _the lies they tell about me **aren't **true.

I cant really make this any more clear. Unless you are using t1 with the cheapest meta0-1 items you can find, you are spending additional isk to perform better in PvP.

Besides. This is getting off topic. If you want to have PvP arguments, go do it in a PvP thread.

There is really no reason to use them for missions currently... Battleships are overall much better than T3s in 4s.

It might perform better at blitzing recon 1, 3, or cargo delivery, but a t1 frig/cruiser can/will out perform a T3 there. a battle ship can prolly out perform a t3 on recon 2 b/c of MJD.
T3 might possibly do better blitzing Dread Pirate Scarlet depending on skills and how far away the mission is.

Thats really about it as far as im aware, unless you can think of another.
