In the Contracts window, I can call up a list of contracts that I have issued.

Some of these may be Sell Contracts or Auction Contracts. I would be nice if the window could show the price I've demanded for each Sell Contract, in this window colum/line view, without me having to go in and open each individual contract to see. Likewise for Auction Contracts it would be nice if the window showed the current bid and the buyout amount.

This isn't nearly as little a thing as the others I've asked for, but it would still be nice. In the interest of reducing database load, perhaps those values should not be shown automatically whenever the window is opened, but rather there could be a button "Show ISK Values" that, when clicked, goes through each contract and shows the ISK value(s) next to it.

For added ease of use, I'd also appreciate it if the Contracts window totalled up the ISK value of all Sell Contracts for me, so that I can see how many ISK I'll earn if they all sell before they expire. The Current Bid amounts for Auction Contracts should probably also be included in this total, and there could be a separate total only for Current Bids, since these are genuine amounts you know you're gonna get.

I often do slightly complex searches in the Search tab of the Assets window, e.g. searching for Type or Category plus a Minimum amount. These search results are often lost, e.g. when I dock or undock or when I minimize the Assets window, forcing me to re-type the search terms.

I've started to "storing" the current search term in the ingame (/Windows?) clipboard, i.e. by typing Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C, then re-inserting the search term string by typing Ctrl+V, but this feels ass backwards for 2012 computer software, that I have to do this.

Even if there is a technical reason for not preserving the search results, at least preserve the last used search term, in the actual window.

I know there is a search term history that I can go back into and use, but it's very annoying to have to do this.

With the compact member list, currenty the standings are on the left side of each name. The right side could be used for indicating the GCC of the actual character. For lots of please it's both important to know when someone is red AND global, the two at once. The current system doesn't make this possible on the local chat window.

Also the local chat window's icons should be update on changes. Currently it's only updated when there's a status change (changing tabs on the chatwindow, which obviously doesn't happen when you have local separately).

It would be awesome if you could add the feature that i can turn off every single blinking Icon in the new neocom, I want the Chat icon to stop blinking, but the wallet, evemail or teh contracts should blink, i see the chats wchich are blinking in the chatwindows where they are so i don't need a permanent blinking Icon in my Neocom.

I would like the limit on the camera's vertical motion removed. Or at least the option to do so.

I'm in space. I hate it when my camera hits that invisible wall. I want to look at my ship any way I want since there is no "upside-down" in space.

For "Show Info" on ships, it'd be nice if the 4 damage type resists could be combined into a single line, instead of getting one line each.

Since there are 3 time 4 resists, 4 for Armour, 4 for Shield and 4 for Hull, that's 12 lines of vertical space combined into only 4 lines, which means you have to scroll up and down less, when you want to see all the stats of the ship.

edit: Perhaps a few other line in "show info" on ships can also be combined. Perhaps drone bay capacity and drone bandwidth combined into one line. The whole idea is to reduce the need for scrolling up and down. "Show info" still needs to be very reader-friendly and to be useful when you want to see all the basic facts about a ship "at a glance", whether you're looking at a basic hull, or at an actual ship with modules fitted and affected by your piloting skillz.

On a related note, sometimes the game shows excessive decimals. This may have been reduced with recent patches, I'm not sure, but I really don't need to know my ship's velocity with a precision of millimetres per second, and neither does anybody else. In almost all cases, with whatever unit of measurement is used (e.g. meters per second) a single decimal is sufficient, and the game should consistently round to that level of precision. Showing 4-6 decimals (by which I mean 4-7 significant digits) is confusing and inefficient.

That also goes for resist values. Having one decimal is fine, but more aren't needed, except in extreme cases where you might gret above 99.5% in a single resist through obsessive stacking. If that is even possible. Limiting to one decimal place only also works well combined with my above request to combine damage type resists into fewer lines in "show info" windows.

An odd case, and something added with Crucible 1.0 as far as I know: In the Assets window, the volume of items now shows 2 decimals unless the decimal is zero in which case no decimals are shown. This is very confusing because when I glance at the numbers, smaller numbers with decimals added to the end look larger (40200.30 m3 looks larger than 51000 m3). I'd much prefer a consistent decimal scheme where all volume values have two decimal places, or all volume values have 3 decimal places, or whatever works best, but it has to be 100% consistent so that values can be compared at-a-glance.

This isn't so little after all, but would still be nice.

In-game it is possible to compare modules that are variants of the same type, e.g. compare different MWDs of the same MN-strength, or different EM shield hardeners.

It'd be nice if it was possible to compare ship hulls in a similar way, where each ship hull chosen for comparison gets a line in an in-game table, with the player being able to enable and disable various rows, such as for STL speed, FTL speed, Shield HP, Shield Resists, and so forth. For instance I might want to compare a Merlin, a Hawk, a Cerberus and a Dominix.

Right now I can sort of do this by having multiple "Show Info" windows open, each on a base hull, but since I can't disable lines I am not always able to simultaneously see all the stats I want to see.

With the new neocom can you add some more configuration options;

Autohide
Autohide When in space
Autohide When Docked

I use autohide but id rather it didnt autohide when im in a station.

Minimized Windows
The way windows minimize is a little annoying at the moment. I have to hover over an icon to see which minimised window it is or just guess and open it, the 'i' Icon isnt conveying much information. What i think should be done is you add another autohiding bar along the bottom of the screen with the classic minimized window bars in there.

I do like the new neocom a lot it just needs a few tweeks. Big smile

While I greatly enjoy the new NeoCom' grouping functionality, the ability to actually name a group would be appreciated, and very handy.

isk sinks, you need them. i got the ideas that you seem to be lacking, so listen up ccp.

----
Standing

Allow for players to pay 200mil for 1 point of standing gain for characters that are in negative standing with that empire faction. availability of this feature should end at 0 standing from -10

Flag players as outlaws when traveling in -5 or lower standing faction held space. give players who pop or pod ships of said players a faction warfare bonus.

nerf diplomacy into the ground to make standing more important.

remove the tags, add isk to the purchase cost.

tech2 minerals

decentralize tech 2 mineral distribution from moon mining exclusively held by the top 1% of alliance member elites and place it in PI harvesting, and asteroids. Small amounts in high sec ores, medium in low sec, and high amounts in ores in low sec. Follow same pattern for pi. Moon mining was a horrible idea, at least with this alliances will need to work to maintain their empires, and furthermore treat their members with more care and respect. This will also make alliance need to work for their moneyz which will also give industry and miners a huge boon that is long overdue. Moon mining was never a fair system to begin with and the person that came up with it's vote in the matter should be void for having no doubt personal interests.

consequently this also solves CCP's lowtech mineral issues in null, make them mine like they should have been in the first place. Duh.

–-
pos/sov changes

the cost of running a pos, and sov should increase exponentially for every additional pos/sov owned by the same corp or alliance. To reduce the size and scale of null sec alliance territory and allow for more diverse null sec map.

----
tech2 bpos

npc order seed them like tech 1 bpos but double the price or something. If you're a holder of a tech 2 bpo you get a redeemable golden penis trophy with remote controlled vibration and strap on feature for CQ. If that's not good enough please rage quit and diaf and send me your stuff. You say invention is better then you wont mind if this happens. You had your shot with them, so it's high time you, move out the way, *****.

---
sov upgrade

please make the mining system sov upgrade a little more reasonable in regards to activity requirements.

----
cap production

triple the material cost of capital production and capital modules. Thin out lazy alliance wallets or make them work for the materials. small alliances would be hurt from this a bit, but if they are determined and hard working it wouldn't be difficult to overcome, and that is something they would need anyways to get into null.

----
running costs of capital ships

aside from fuel for jumps and DD's you should consider an isk cost to that exponentially increases based on how many capitals are in an alliance members possession. Capitals should not be able to use their jump drive if they are not in a corp of some kind. Titans should be the same but with alliance tags.

----
Orca

ore bay +300k size with fleet access, one way only unload in station or pos required. Mineral bay 150k. Reduction to cargo and corp hangers to 10k. Moar beefy tank.

---
NPC vendors

in areas that do not have many market orders, it is often a pita to travel 10 jumps to another region to buy something and haul it back, why not seed desolate areas with npc vendors tech 1-meta5 at 250-500% pricing above more populated regions. this will improve the quality of life for a lot of antisocial pilots but also spur trade interest from more market activity. no npc buy orders. npc orders will drop from the area if market order numbers exceeds x number of items this feature should be limited to high sec and maybe lowsec

---
trade

limit the range players can see market orders without skill to system, and require a skill to see up to constellation orders, and a higher tier skill to see the whole region. this will improve the quality of life for station traders, and also provide more lucrative markets for the small man trader, and make it a lot more difficult for big alliances to manipulate whole markets.

---
reprocessing

nerf it into the ground., and refund people who spent a month training for the ridiculous prereqs for scrap metal reprocessing, and scrap metal reprocessing itself. minerals should come from mining and pi not mission runners junk loot. only exception to this could be drone alloys at half the efficiency of current. furthermore nerf high sec reprocessing station bonuses (exception of ore refining), or make reprocessing stations more limited in their availability... add a time requirement as well.

Most of these changes are intended to work together to make a big isk sink impact, but also spur industry interest, and improve the miners/industry quality of life (regardless of sec space).... also a bit of karma for the null sec power blocks living the good life on moongoo well at least the people in charge of the alliances have been for so long.

When I'm podded, I want the game to remind me that I HAVE NO CLONE AND WILL LOSE SP IF I DIE AGAIN. IN BIG CAPITAL LETTERS. I also want an evemail or some kind of reminder sent to tell me when my SP rises above the amount covered by my clone.

We had a corp-mate lose nearly two months of training once because he forgot to update his clone. Needless to say he was not impressed and quit for a few months. This wasn't the only story i've heard of people quitting because they lost SP... this is an issue that costs subscriptions.

Basically, losing SP is an opt-out at the moment; you have to take action to NOT lose SP. It should be an opt-in; if you're at risk of losing SP the game needs to tell you. If you ignore the warning and still lose SP then yeah, totally your fault.

You can.

Select 'Show Info' on an example of what you want to compare, and go to the 'Variations' tab, and click the 'Compare' button at the bottom. By default, it will show the items that were on the 'Variations' tab, but you can Shift or Ctrl-click the rows you don't want, right-click and choose 'Remove'.

Drag from your Items or Ships folder, or direct from the Market screen, into the Compare Tool - you can't mix ships and modules, but you can mix a variety of different modules if you want.

Click 'Reset All' when you want to compare another group of items.

It's been there for a while, I believe, but it's just a bit hidden. Should really have it's own entry on the Neocom.

Here's another one:

Being able to set probes into groups, and allowing the shift function to adjust all probes in a group, while leaving those not part of the group yet in space unchanged.

For example: I have 8 probes in space a set them into two groups of four, group A and group B. Both groups are set at 32 AU, I select group B hold down shift and drag all 4 probes in the group to another point in space and adjust their range to 4AU. Group A remains where I left them set at 32AU.
