I could be mistaken, but I believe I remember that you can already do this by right clicking on the blank space on the neocom between the last button and the clock/calendar and there should be some relevant settings in that context menu somewheres. Good luck!

The player ship icons could use some love. At the moment they are just a box that tells you that the ship belongs to a player. Of course there are minor differences, but it's literally a matter of a few pixels.

The space could be used more efficiently with tactical icons for ship classes in the style of Homeworld or Supreme Commander. This way you could easily see the ship types and free some room from the ship type column in the overview.

Improve interface to make it easier to see at a glance both friendly and unfriendly effects (buffs/neuts, etc..)

If a drone is locked by someone, have it flash yellow in the drone window, if a drone is being attacked, have it flash red.

The ability to recover toons that got deleted,
for a charge of like ... 50 bucks. :)

That's pretty expensive, but it's absolutely fair considering the fact
that the toon got deleted on purpose. :)

It would be great if we could get a slight update to the Planetary Interaction interface.

There are a few things that make it uncomfortable to control.



  • Extractor Control Unit heads have a flashing effect when placing them, and unfortunately the opacity of the outer edges is the dynamic result. This makes it nearly impossilbe to place the head close to each other (without overlapping mistakenly) against any bright background. If you would shorten the cycle of the opacity 'flash,' from say happening every 5 seconds, to a much higher frequency like every 0.5 seconds it would be more visible without even having to adjust the color and opacity.

  • The slider within the extractor control unit settings that dictates how long a cycle is should also have definite presets under it. (Eg. One Hour, One Day, Three Days, One Week, Two Weeks.) So if you want 1 day cycles, you wont have to steadily adjust over 22:15 hours and 1 day 15 minutes back and forth until it finally says exactly 1 day.

  • Storage units should function as backup space as they are generally useless right now. If you create a route to a storage destination, and it goes through several storage units, once the destination is full of resources the last storage unit should begin to buffer the space by temporarily holding the resources until there is enough room. They do not have that much storage space anyway, so this would be their only logical use: As a buffer.

  • Slight decrease in Link power cost over large distances. Since some planets are literally 10x the size of others, a particularly long link on a large planet can easily be multiplied to have the power usage of nearly a full level 5 command center. Links power and cpu usage should be based more on their relative distance across a surface rather than the real life conversion of planet radius to distance in Km on the surface.

  • Also the ability to use Corporation wallet division funds to pay for transfers and construciton costs... If said member has the accounting role of course.

  • Please remove session change timers between importing and exporting good to and from planets. If this is not possible, then allow pilots to export from multiple different launchpads at the sametime. Make the right side of the viewport for customs/launch pad storage have a 'show all launchpads' in the drop down menu, and make this the default selection. Because Launch pads are the only facility that makes primary use of a command centers CPU, a logical colony setup will use multiple launch pads to utilize extra CPU. Thus it is a common necessary optimization to merge the multiple processes of launch pad export, into one single process for all exports on a planet.

I would still like to be able to see the fleet bonuses being received. It would be nice to be able at the very least see the bonuses in the tooltip.

Also, the compare tool needs to be improved and made more readily accessible. If we could open the tool, and drag modules from the ship, hanger, market, etc to compare it would be great. Right now its hidden and difficult to use.

- Intellegent Skill Training Cue. Ok, so I have Gallente BS IV in the cue. It has 2 hours left on it. I have to go to work in an hour but I can't put GBS V in the cue? I should think the skill cue could just check to see that IV is finished before starting V.

- My character does not wear shoes, boots, socks... Ya'll went to the trouble of modeling the feet. Please let us go barefoot.

- Drone Bay S/A/S Meters. Would be very nice. I would think assessing damage on my drones would be as easy when they are on board my ship as when they are in space.

Things I’d love to see in EVE.

Keep making it easier to play, without making it tactically or strategically less complex.
Keep making the windows function like they should from 5-10 years ago.
Make it easier to find things, add drop down lists, let me sort with more options, etc.
Make drones easier to use, make the drone box more functional.
Try to eliminate right clicks, especially with functions I would need to do quickly in a combat situation.
Make the UI easier to use, especially the HUD in combat, specifically the Heat stuff.
UI better, then better again.
Give some love to CEO’s and Directors, fix corp tab, well almost everything.
Balance Faction Warfare, check back in 2 months rebalance, repeat as necessary until tactics, effort, and strategy are what are determining the outcome, not who is best at exploiting the game in unintended ways.

2 ways to mine, the current chat friendly way, and another more active way.
Always have a way for an independent pilot to harvest all their own materials, such as a ship or module that could ninja mine a moon.
T3 Battleship, T3 frigate, T3 modules take your time though.
Have all highslot modules that have an effect, especially missile launchers have a “turret”
Go back over the last 5 + years and just put in good versions of the features you wanted to but had to cut. But only after the game is balanced and working.
Cheaper T2 rigs
More destroyer love, as in tier 2 destroyer.
Custom ship skins
Fleet formations
Sort the show info windows so it is easier to compare ships and modules, such as having all the resists given in order, optimal and falloff listed together. Put the info you need in combat at the top.
Boost Lowsec
More Epic Arc missions, or long mission chains, with story. Bonus good voice over for the story so you don’t have to read when shooting pirates.

Custom warp destinations, for some reason the ship won’t go x distance, in xyz direction when I tell it to. This is dumb I should be able to do this. Maybe have some minimum distance this would work for, so we still need a stealth ship, ceptor or good planning to warp on top of a sniping fleet on grid.

Dream stuff:

Give all the various factions at least 3 faction ships a frigate, cruiser, and battleship.
Have all the T1 ships have an Empire Navy faction equivalent. Or at least add another frigate, a destroyer and battlecruiser.
Unnerf the Black Ops and Marauders more, so they are more viable in PvP. Or make a tier 3 tech 2 battleship that is meant for straight up combat with strong T2 resists, fitting and such, without some fatal flaw that smaller T2 combat ships don’t have.
Nerf Projectiles so they are limited to Explosive and Kinetic damage, in line with all other guns. Or rebalance and buff hybrid and energy weapons
Rebalance Amarr ships with laser cap use bonuses to give them actual 2nd bonus, feel free to make them 10-50% more cap stable while you’re at it.
Eventually have some subcap ships with 8 8 8 layouts
Possibly not limit ships to 8 slots
Ship Crews, at least officers. Eventually.
1 to 3 ships for each race that are as good/cool as the Alliance tournament ship, maybe a million or more LP and a really high required standing, not everyone will ever have the chance to fly in the tournament or be able to afford to buy one afterwards, but everyone should be able to work to get a awesome stat ship, and others would be able to make them cry.
Make tracking work right. A ship orbiting a stationary target shouldn’t be suffering for its own movement, we have tech from 30,000 years in the future, and the ship can’t account for its own movement?
Midslot module that does to missiles what a tracking disruptor does to turrets. Or if you love Amarr just add it to the tracking disruptor.

Something I never understood, why did Minmatar develop web bonuses to slow down slow Amarr ships, instead of tracking disruptors to disrupt the most turret heavy race? And why didn’t Amarr develop web bonuses to slow down the fastest ships? That just always seemed backwards.

And a bunch of stuff I can’t even think of and may edit in later.

Little Things: (well maybe some are medium-ish Blink)

Trivial Things:

* Make Character's Faction and Corp Standings visible to all (reversing the change earlier in the year)

High Sec:

* Reverse the P alliance Wardec nerf (short term fix for broken Highsec and Wardecs)

* Remove Incursions from Highsec until you make a way for Shansha Loyalists and other players to fight on the side of the Sansha.

Mods and Ships:

* Allow Probes to be fired out at once and the ability to keep positional patterns probes. Maybe slow down scan time a little to compensate.

* Address Near unprobable T3 Ganglink ships (The Buffbots of EVE). Make ECCM and Ganglinks incompatible on the same Ship, might be an easy beginning.

* Reverse the NOS nerf on ships with bonuses to them. (Amarr and Blood Raider) So we see these mods used again.

* Drones, add damage rigs and implants, make them less easy to scan down, more appropriate to their size.

* Remove cans as a means of de-cloaking a ship.

* Means to Jam a ship from lighting a Cyno. I would make it an additional feature of Scrams/Disruptors, but if that goes too far make a new short range EWAR mod instead.

* Look at AFs, EAFs, and Black-Ops, all could use various degrees of improvements.



Big Things (everyone else is listing them)

* Get working on that CCP Null Sec Revamp we saw sometime ago and have heard nothing about since. Was lots of good ideas there. Of particular interest to me is NPC Nullsec, make siding with Pirate Factions and not farming them give very real benefits and the reverse give penalties in these regions of space. Add more NPC Nullsec, not all of it Pirate.

* Revamp DScan and remove Local Chat from Null and Low Sec.

* Integrate Faction Warfare into all aspects of High Sec life (not the obscure isolated minigame you have now) Any form of combat whether PvE or PvP in Empire space should have consequences in regards to those that rule there, the NPC Factions.

* Make NPC Bounties drop as physical tags that need to be taken to a station and traded in for the Bounty reward of ISK

Bribe Concord? i was thinking something like social V and Fast Talk V with a -10.0 costing a cool billion isk to be set to zero, and make it an adventure in game to bribe concord some how.

I was also thinking of a solution for all these windows.... It is difficult to describe but I will try my best. I was thinking that the chats overview, selected items, fleet, drones, watch-list, scanner, and cargo could originate in a small orb that uses holographic looking method to present all these semi transparent to transparent borders and information, and perhaps turning the long lists of people and objects in a smooth high tech Rolodex kind of fashion. Then upgrade the capacitor to feel more like space ship hub, maybe even modify it to different class ships...no sense in a frigate having the same controls as a carrier or battleship.

Overview Settings

Please, please, please provide the ability to save and restore the ENTIRE overview setup, I.e. tabs, columns, colours, icons etc.

Surely if the format is in XML this should be a piece of cake.

I'm sick and tired of applying a patch and having to set up my overview all over again, particularly as I have about 5 different client setups over 2 separate machines, and would be REALLY nice to be able to import the complete config.

Chat Windows -A New Layout Idea

The tabbed window approach works for many windows, however for the chat window it has always seemed rather clunky to me.

I was looking at it and the thought struck me that it might look and operate better if the tabs were arranged vertically down the side as opposed to horizontally across the top.

This would allow the full text for the chat window to be displayed and for the list to grow/shrink as appropriate. Giving the user the ability to expand/shrink the tab section would also be handy so that the user can choose to lose some of the window text in preference to more screen space or vice versa.

It would also be an idea to allow for the shading of the active tab and window to be different (in fact this would be a good idea for ALL tabbed windows) in order to make the focus more prominent. The setting of the active tab colour could be an option available on the same menu as the 'blink' option.

Could we have a box which tells us all remote effects on our ships? i.e.

- being remote shield repaired by XXXX
- being warp scrambled by XXXXX
- Being remote Sensor Bosted by XXXXXX
