Some time ago I saw a reference to a "source book" that would have to the a kind of guide for players to have live events.

Just saw this

Is that the source book?

edit:

wow that book is beautiful! That's the kind of book you get and put in a safe place and years from now some kid get a hold of it somehow and it changes his life.

Yup that's it, however the EvE store only sold the Limited edition. They did provide a link to an online store to buy the regular version.

Yes, as Jandice said that was the limited edition that was only sold through the eve store, having one myself it is a very well put together item.

There is the standard version sold through amazon and other sites as well

Well I got the book and it looks like it's going to be a good one. I'm afraid to take it out of the plastic.

My sister used to have a lot of the original Fairy and LOTR art books that were published in the 60s and I remember looking through them when I was very young. I think the source book might end up being that caliber of book for science fiction.

Now if I can only find a safe place to open it....

This book appears to be too important to make it a Toilet Book

Bought my standard edition by ordering it through my local comic book and gaming store, got all sorts of questions about EVE.

Gorgeous book, still delving through it.

One of the interesting tidbits, and probably is in a lore chronicle somewhere, is that only 14% of capsuleer candidates make it past the prescreening process, and of those only 5% make it to graduation, they wash out, and about 10% die or go nuts from the physical and mental system shocks that candidates undergo.

And then the final test is, of course, being euthanized and downloaded into your clone for the first time, and some candidates just cannot do it.

Heck, i may bring some of these to fanfest and get dev autographs lol

Hah, I just went to the little veterinary book store next door and ordered it. The book came actually faster then the online-store CCP linked in the Eve-store claimed.

Dark Horse also have been doing high quality artbooks and comics for the Bioware franchises for years now. I also picked up the fifth Masamune Shiro Intron Depot artbook that was released by them last month. I must say that CCP made a very good choice in having them release Eve Source. The other two Eve artbooks are also very nice, but one had a rather limited release with the CE, and the Art of Eve (square book housed in slipcase) I believe was only available from the official store. Going with Dark Horse insures that the book is both affordable and available.

Mine haunts me, still wrapped in plastic, waiting to be looked at, from it's dark cupboard.

Alongside other things that wait for me to get my life in order so I can enjoy such things better.

It'll be a long wait.

I'll look forward to the ebook soon - last week I had to move for the 10th time in 7 years and the book survived the experience! It was the last thing I took to make sure it didn't get piled on or get wet (it always rains when I move).

I've seen the NOOK and KINDLE versions available. I wasn't able to get a signed copy myself, however the ebook version is next in my queue for lazy afternoon reading. The art work shows fantastic even on a tablet.

That picture indicates that you have a disturbed mind and that you may need help.

After all, what is that jug doing there?
