Are mining barge parts moving too fast?

And here I was expecting this was a thread about stuff needed to make barges flying off the shelves in the market too fast. Hmm..

But since we are talking about mining barge features, I have a suggestion. Every barge should have an LED sign on it, perhaps like a license plate. When a player is active, it could light up green with a nice message. After a minute or so of no player input, it would light up red saying "AFK."

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

I haven't ever been on eve radio. I came up with this while mining.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

As usual in ships everything looks pretty much the same size. You notice all the dots on a ship are actually windows and realize how huge it is.

Well I was mining, and looking at my retriever. I noticed it has pistons, and these containers underneath flying back and forth. I also decided to think, well those things must be huge. How and why are they moving that fast? It's as big as a house. Are they containers to move ore back and forth? There would be no time for anything to be put in them on one end at all, it would be like trying to shove cheerios in some guys mouth while he rode by on a bike.

Every ship in this game was designed by an artist "to look cool," not to be functional. All those trinkets on barges are nothing more than eye candy. The functions of the ship are dictated by numerical values in a spreadsheet.

You'd think that there would be issues with moving things that massive back and forth really fast.

But what if they don't have that much mass?

As it turns out, these things are made of virtually massless things known as pixels, so it's not really an issue.
