And so we remember them too. Did we stop remembering WW1 just because WW2 came along in crushed it in terms of dead people and spent resources?

So, no one ever memorializes the battles, because much bigger fights are coming, right? Hmm. So... No one should care about a handful of Spartans in a globally-unimportant pass several thousand years ago, yes? And the Battle of Marne never gets recalled... No one EVER re-enacts or memorializes, say, Gettysburg, or D-Day, or Cooch's Bridge, or Little Bighorn. Because there are always going to be bigger fights.

Right.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.
