Do you really want to know why CCP went to curse and syndicate?

Simple. They are both NPC nullsec areas where the NPC systems can be reached after traveling through no Sov nullsec regions and both only require going through a couple lowsec systems before entering NPC null, making them ideal for use in a live event. If CCP just wanted to give them kills, they could have sent you to guristas NPC space which requires you going through CFC's space.

EDIT: Btw, I happen to live in syndicate, and have been to most other NPC Nullsec areas for one reason or another, thus my familiarity with what is required to reach each one.

Double Edit: I also had plenty of tidi on my way to the syndicate event from my alliances home in syndicate. Didn't take me two hours despite going 15 jumps.

Thing is this would be the case if most of the CFC weren't in Curse and have been for weeks. They would have been better off heading north.

CCPs intel was not up to scratch.

This didn't need to be held in a null system.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Are you kidding? CFC space is empty nine times out of ten. sure they'd have gotten word out and attacked eventually, but a hell of a lot more people would have gotten through.

Also, what do you not understand about that place being a warzone? There were fleets waiting for action from someone.

Most likely they didn't alter the plans to go to curse due to the whole event having been planned for a while in advance. And CFC space being empty or not, if they saw 200 highsec carebears coming they would have formed fleets there, just like they did in syndicate. we had a couple fleets from the local CFC alliances in the neighboring systems there along with the syndicate resident fleets, the gallente/caldari FW fleets, the evoke fleet, the eve uni fleet, the random interloper fleets, etc.

Also, the syndicate event had more kills around it than the curse event. Its kinda funny that the non warzone had more kills than the warzone imo.
