A extra ship a Miamos rendered floating under my hanger pad for some reason. Had been playing around with the ship tree but it was at a 90 degree angle to my hanger spire so it looked like it belonged. Could not replicate however would be nice to see all the ships you own in station hanging out in hanger view however.Big smile

When clicking on "View full body" the whole screen exept for the new window gets grey. It is going back to normal as soon as you close the Charakter-preview. HereĀ“s a screenshot:

It seems that the move to DX11 or whatever is causing some issues for certain renderings- the Vengeance, for one, has very muddy textures in the ship fitting window, and in the previews, all Creodron ships have completely lost their greenish iridescence to be replaced with low-saturation green.

Starting the SiSi client produces the following issue:
The client goes fullscreen for a second or two with a black screen, the mouse pointer flickers, and then the client minimizes. If I maximize it, it will flicker some more, than minimize again, without ever showing a menu. Ad nausea.
I tried clearing caches, settings, starting in safe mode and running the repair tool, to no avail.

- Win7 x64
- Radeon HD6950 with Catalyst 13.10

EDIT: Bug report filed with attached server logs.

Yo DEV's.. you gonna ignore me or look into it?? Your DX11 release has issues.. It should atleast revert back to DX9 if unable to support DX11.

I'm going to chalk this up to bastion still being worked on, but I feel it is at least worth noting.

If you allow the bastion cycle to end and then start it back up immediately, the animation jumps right to the beginning of the bastion animation rather than simply continuing from the position it's already at. Looks tacky.

I really like where its going. It does need detail though, the textures and general detail look... unfinished. Also Im not a fan of the flat wings they should be up a bit like the regular raven. The hammer head is pretty neat though. Part of what makes eve, eve is its unique ships. If they all look super snazy and modern it might start to lose that feel!

Don't worry, we are looking into this. The graphics engine should fall back to DX9 if DX11 is not supported - in this case, something is failing even though DX11 is reported as supported (and should be, on this video card).

I'm guessing the Optimus setup is confusing our engine somehow - this is something we will test better before the release.

I'm also reporting sudden camera resets. Happens after warp and also while taking fire in some missions, to the point it's impossible to look around simply because it won't keep zoomed-out...

Oh, and whenever I enter a new system, my ship is practically cloaked, but instead it shows itself completely visible... Once I move, it suddenly becomes cloaked and in process of de-cloaking.

Btw, keep up the great work CCP :)

Dear CCP,

I've tried the new marauders briefly in SISI, and as many have pointed out, the Bastion transformation are hardly noticable

Kronos - Only the blue thing sticking out is noticable, thanks to its color. It is counterintuitive though on how exposing the internal parts of the ships resulting in higher defense ? How about making the 2 long bits at the front moved in and joined together ( so no more gap between them ) ? More noticable and makes more sense.

Vargur - The armor thing that cover the sail is hardly noticable also, have to zoom in to the ship. How about retracting the sail into the ship itself ? That makes more sense, since the point of Bastion is to put up defense.

Golem - All I can see is some flaps opening, can't see how it is related to higher tank or longer range weapon. How about moving the wing instead ? I mean the ship was remodeled recently, why not make it so that it can do more significant transformation ? Maybe make the wing folded in ? Or add another set of wing, and makes both of them vertical ? Big smile


..and about the Golem new model. It is what compelled me to actually write to this forum. Please please reconsider the hammer head cockpit Ugh The previous one is much2 better in my opinion. And the wing is enough to differentiate it to normal Raven.
And I agree that the new wing lacks mass and oomph. So..how about adding another pair at the bottom ? Sort of like X-Wing..

the new golem is way nicer than the current model on TQ. however it did look very plain at first release when there were no lights or details on it, now it looks decent.

Hi,

One more thing to add for the vargur. It's nice and all that the solar ail panels get covered in an armor layer... wait... isn't the ship focused on shield tanking? In this perspective, covering it with an armor layer just seems funny (visually nice tho). It would have been better if some extra generators pop out with some nice emitting glow and put a hardenes shield layer around the hull or something/anything that shows more shield defence than armor. But I guess it's too late now. :) And ofc the bastion module weapon agro timer, not a big deal but it's rahter a defensive module than offensive :) Just sayin'.

Bastion mode. The animation is so plain, i think you should think in changing it a bit more, we want more impact. I mean golem, for example, you are waiting for something cool, and it just open some stuff, thats all?, maybe change wing position? or front cabin shield position or something, it so simple what you did, at least kronos also changes the top stufff position. Please, work something more impact, the idea is super cool, dont waste it =/.

While I'm still disappointed by the marauder transformations so far, I am liking the effects work on bubbles, and I'm looking forward to seeing dx11 features implemented. Why on earth are you guys not releasing the high res textures with Rubicon, you have a ~250 page thread with people begging for them. This is one of the largest player driven feature threadnaughts in eve history, and still nothing even after dev responses saying it's being considered.
