Since plenty of null corps are advocating pro-null and anti-high, you should recognize when someone is looking to make highsec more unattractive and outside of highsec more attractive.

Danger isn't really a deterrent given the current threads on highsec ganks, freighter ganks, and any other highsec mechanics whine/flame war subjects.

Hitting highsec economically and/or limiting the amount of content is going to work better to usher highseccers out to low, null, wh, anywhere else.

Why people think safety is an element is beyond me, because regardless of whether you have more station campers, more interdictions, more ganks or anything else... highseccers will still be highseccers.

Remove incursions in highsec (it's empire space, why do capsuleers need to help???).

Remove freighters (keep haulers).

Remove L4 missions (Why does empire even have such a presence of those caliber of rats anyways?).

Keep wardecs, keep ganks, keep the meta.

But limit the pve.

Even keep L4 missions (if removing them completely is too strict) down to .5 systems to only occur in lowsec (would create more gate camps and further make highsec more dangerous through those bottlenecks).

You start limiting that, you start limiting the market. Keep industry as it is or whatever... you'll have border systems being hotspots. This will encourage highseccers to need to work as a team to encourage better cohesiveness with corps, highsec alliances, and help create a better pvp environment to establish tradelines.

It would also encourage markets on both sides of those chokepoints, and make things a ton more active without changing any mechanics. This might even also help with the whole "we have one server to reinforce, please make an appt to schedule your big fights" as Jita's traffic would slowly start to dwindle. Not to mention it would spread out the spammers/scam bots that clutter our systems with their unwanted presence (not a stealth nerf scam thread, but seriously, clean the junk drawer out!).

I would normally post this in F&I however, I wanted to see what kind of sparks would fly so I could further finetune my ideas before presenting it as an official post.

Comments, concerns, input and ideas are welcome. Flames and trolls won't really work so don't bother trying to attack my forum persona, I could have just as easily used an alt to post this but meh, can't be bothered =P.

Whatever ailments everyone perceives to be afflicting the game could be remedied for the most part by CCP biting the bullet and just doing the POS revamp. Making a POS a personal structure instead of corp clears out the corp UI restrictions, while allowing CCP to severely cut the production lines in NPC stations.

Either all of this or make null a lot less boring and less pointless. Make it fluid, not static power suburbs that have nothing for high sec people to do except act as easy targets.
