Visual indication and detailed tooltips for capacitor stability with current active modules

Show me at a glance whether my active module's capacitor usage is above or below its regeneration rate, and when mousing over show a rough estimate of remaining time. (before external factors)

Allow a cancerl cancel option on mod cylces, if i spam scram or point or my mwd i sometimes end up with it beeing red and deactivating afterwards, usualy not a problem but a dropped point for the second it takes to make it start again equals a gone ship and 1 sec of no mwd results in a huge speed loss which can be crucial.

So please allow us to cancel the stop option on mod cycles.

CCP, when you get an escallation, it doesn't show up as a warpable signature in the right click (in space) menu, like missions or other complexes.

Just a small thing that I think could be added!!

Suggestion: Add a snap-to line to Advanced Audio Settings controls
Keywords: Audio, Advanced Settings, Volume
Note: Adding a line to the 50% position the volume slider of Advanced Audio Settings and also making the slider snap to it would make adjustments/resets easier. Positioning the slider where the mouse gets clicked would be even better - for all settings using sliders (but might no longer be a little thing?)

The new UI came with some serious QoL downgrades.

In the fleet window, we now have to hover over a squad or wing to see if we're in it. So, instead of just looking for the green indicator, I have to hover my mouse over wings, one at a time, then squads. You might as well just remove the green indicator completely at this point. The green highlight, when it was added, was great. It made finding ourselves in the fleet window so much faster. But now it's been nerfed into uselessness. Please change it back. Functionality > stripping all possible color from the overview.

The market. Put some color back. If we can use an item, highlight the required skills, power, and cpu blocks green, instead of grey. Sure, you get used to the colorless indicators after awhile, but they're just not as good, and I promise you they're not nearly as good for brand new players. It's another case of undoing some of the great progress you guys had made. Again. Functionality > stripping all possible color from the overview.

Besides, the overview is just a little too sterile, now, anyway. Some color would be nice.

>After looking at my settings some, I suppose the grey highlight in the market stands out better against other color schemes than the Caldari II theme I'm using. Green would still be a lot better, though. The meaning of green is intuitive. Grey isn't.

You're our only hope, he said and I agreed. Add green background on ship preview to the setting menu for video maker such as full body preview background.

What about an option with a configurable variable to filter the employment history with something like this:

[ ] Don't show NPC corp memberships shorter than [X] days.

It's cool that we have an overview background and color-tag to show pilots with kill rights that can be activated. How about adding a filter so we can have it show, say, pilots with kill-rights for less than 10 mil, or what ever other number we want to plug into there. The majority of kill-rights out in space these days are overpriced scams, so it'd be nice to filter them out and only see the stuff worth clicking on.

little thing: my peni... oh wait - buy ship & fittings
keywords: my peni... dam - buy, ship/fitting
NOTE: thats what she said... - in fittings window (in station) add a button that will scan the market and open the sell/buy items window. and auto adds the hull and saved fitting to it. clicking accept enacts the purchase of all items available on the market in the quantitys needed.

For the love of god, get rid of these stupid pop ups!!!

"Extremely valuable gas clouds have been discovered in the Pegasus constellation which have created a gold rush. ORE was quick to claim 'ownership' as the constellation borders its sovereign space, but the Serpentis and the Syndicate, as well as multiple entrepeneurs from the Gallente Federation, have all claimed their own piece of the pie. Inevitably collisions have occurred and the constellation has become a sort of 'warzone' between various groups of greedy claimants. "

Suggestion: Complete implementation of the Overview customization.

Keyword: Overview

Note: Different Overview tabs cannot be sorted in different orders requiring the Player to manually sort each Overview tab every single time they switch to it. E.g I want my general navigation tab sorted range ascending, emergency evade warpout tab sorted ranged descending, and target selection tab sorted alphabetically.

Did I already add this?

Suggestion: Add tracking speed to the tooltip that pops up when mousing over turrets.

I use a lot of different guns and so I have a lot of different tracking speeds to ... keep track of. Being able to hover over my turrets and get information on the range, damage profile and overall DPS of my guns is nice, but being able to see their tracking speed without having to open the weapon information window would be a bit nicer than knowing that my guns do 123.4 DPS. This is especially true when being tracking-disrupted.

Suggestion: More explicit module bindings, more than just toggle xyz
Keywords: ui, keybinds, hotkeys, modules
Note: add explicit activate and deactivate bindings, instead of just toggle, for both activating and overheating modules. As well, a toggle for autocycle or a bind to activate a mod for a single cycle explicitly. From what I can tell the server seems to be able to handle this already, based on some error messages you receive when spamming a module.

Suggestion: indicate autocycle on/off on a module
Keywords: ui, modules
Note: a module that won't autocycle should at least flash red like when you toggle it off

Suggestion: Allow canceling module deactivation
Keywords: ui, modules
Note: using the above, explicit activation key should be able to cancel a module shutdown

Suggestion: More quick menu options through radial etc
Keywords: ui
Note: For example, radial menu on a planet should have "warp to customs office" where "dock" or "jump" usually goes. In general provide alternative to common options that require navigating lots of dropdown menus

Suggestion: Filter import
Keywords: ui, inventory
Note: Allow importing/sharing like the overview settings

Suggestion: Advanced item filtering
Keywords: ui, inventory
Note: allow combination of AND/OR conditions, and perhaps some more filters such as isk/m3

Suggestion: "blink off" option for all neocom items
Keywords: ui
Note: especially on items that will give me a notification anyway like mail, I'd like to be able to turn off the persistent blinking.

  • Suggestion: relax limit on maximum order updates from 20/min to 30/min
  • Keywords: market, ui
  • Note: n/a

Proficient traders that have been doing it for a good while can easily pass current limit (20) with market tools such as Evernus (http://evernus.com/ ; https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=362779). Upping it to 30 would make life much easier and less frustrating so we're not forced to simply wait 'because'.

Even more classic approach with margin tools (EvE-Elinor or Evernus' builtin one) make it possible to pass 20 (though not by much, and the orders need to be in good state).

Suggestion: add a "buy all" button/option for industry screen materials, saved fittings, and/or multibuy in general.
Keywords: UI, multibuy, market, industry, fittings
Note: multisell to instant buy orders was added recently, why not multibuy with the same logic?

If I'm buying e.g. 5 types of minerals to buy something, without spending the time and effort to get them by setting up buy orders, the only way to automatically get the exact amounts is to right-click a material - buy this item - buy. And repeat that 5 times (in this case). Something like 10 times if you do this for T2 ships, or for ship fittings. So implement a button/right-click menu option to "buy all materials", which would pop up a multibuy menu like the multisell one, which would only buy stuff from the lowest sell orders.

Basically this post was the fittings part of this.

I've heard half-joking comments that this would make the game "easier" somehow, but if you think more mouseclicks is meaningful gameplay, clicker games should be your thing, not EVE.

Suggestion: add an option to the industry screen to buy items at the blueprint's location (if in the same region) by default, instead of your characters location.
Keywords: UI, industry, remote jobs

When starting e.g. manufacturing jobs, I have to either:
a) be at the station with the blueprint, so I can right-click - buy this item - buy, to get the items in the exact amounts needed for the job, or
b) when I'm starting jobs remotely, right-click - view market details - scroll to find a sell order at the station my blueprint is at - right-click - buy - mouseover industry screen material icon to see the exact amount I'll need (since this buy order amount defaults to "1"), type that into the buy order, click buy.

And that repeated over each input material the industry job requires. Especially combined with multibuy this would be a great QoL improvement. This one only helps with remote jobs though, whereas multibuy would help anyone who fits ships or does any industry.

suggestion: allow the clearing of tags in overview
keywords: tags, overview, fleet
note: n/a

tags in the overview may not be a great way to broadcast targets on your overview, but they are a great way to sort EWAR targets or "slower to die" targets in great order, so people in fleet can see and sort the targets in the overview.

the biggest problem with the tags as they currently stand is that beyond the target warping away or exploding in glorious blue fire, there is no practical way of removing the tag beyond ignoring that tag.

what i propose is to introduce a shortcut to remove a tag, much like there exists a shortcut to unlock a target.

beyond that is that the shortcuts on the tags are clonky and ore often than not results in a target getting "double tagged", as in their tag number "skipped" a letter, resulting in a confusing list of targets that most often than not are not in the intended order.

  • Suggestion: Use milliradians/sec (mrad/s) instead of radians/sec (rad/s) to show angular velocity and tracking.
  • Keywords: ui, overview, tracking, angular velocity, radian, rad/s, mrad, milliradian
  • Note: Most values in EVE measured in radians/sec are too small for that unit of measurement.

  • Since most values in EVE that are measured in radians/sec are much less than one radian/sec, it becomes difficult to compare to such values. Using a unit that is a thousandfold smaller would make things much easier. For example, the visual difference between 0.0883 rad/sec and 0.0088 rad/sec is much less noticeable compared to 88.3 mrad/sec and 8.8 mrad/sec even though they are a comparison between the same values. To keep things consistent, all values displayed in rad/s would have to be multiplied by 1000 including the overview, show info windows, and tooltips.
