Well... I think there's a couple ways they could do something like this....

One is not even loading the station environment at all, just switch the camera focus to the station as though it is our ship. Open the inventory/ship windows while leaving the overview up. This would probably require a lot of re-working of their current code though, and have some side effects in player behavior they may not want. Also, they'd have to put the station interface somewhere so you could access agents, services, guest list, etc...

A little easier would be just having a 'station camera drone service' that slowly orbits around the station (or is controllable, though maybe with a speed throttle or something at CCP's discretion.) How much intel this should give is also up to them, perhaps it would show no standings tags, just ships (Many people are watching it, so it just displays raw visual data like a screen saver) This would be a great addition for the TV in the captains quarters, along with a remote control to change the channel :P

I do think they seperated the station from the space environment for lag reasons though... I can only imagine how the 1000 or so in Jita all watching the activity outside all the time would bring things to a crawl there...

I like to track pilots on my watchlist/tags for various reasons (cyno alts, third parties, FCs, etc.) but I am required to set a standing so I have to keep cleaning up my contacts to correct standing as pilots move/standings change. Adding a contact that applies no standing would allow my contacts to always reflect the correct corp/alliance standing.

It is finally possible to use standard text editing features like CTRL Delete or CTRL Backspace properly in text windows! Big smile Why was that not mentioned in the Patch Notes? In my opinion, this is a huge improvement for the writing texts and editing them.

A little thing

Feature request - Dock/Jump/Activate Gate hotkey on wormholes

Description :
Make "Dock/Jump/Activate Gate" hotkey work on Wormholes. It would be really great to be able to use a hotkey to jump thorugh a wormhole.

Suggestion: Make number of science and manufacturing jobs always visible in industry window (and in Industry icon Tooltip)

When I open the Industry window, with no blueprint or activity selected, I want to be able to see how many jobs are installed and how many slots are available. Currently we have to first select a blueprint and select an activity in order to see how many slots of that type are available.

Also, if I select invention for instance, I'd still like to see my Manufacturing Jobs 4/10 info along side the science job info. The industry window is huge, and there is plenty of room for both sets of info on the bar at all times.

As a side note to this, it might be useful to have the same info show up in the tooltip for the Industry icon in the NeoCom... kind of like how your personal and corporation wallet balance shows up in the Wallet tooltip

Suggestion: give us ability to put second clock above/under eve time watch and possibility to set our own time/different color

Suggestion: Search filter in Shortcut settings menu

Note: I need to find the Hide All Brackets shortcut, i don't know where to look, I have to dig through each page.
I would rather type 'bracket' in a box and see every shortcut that matches without changing tab.

If we can "warp to" a location from 0 to 100km, why can't we have "warp passed" a location to the same degree?

This just seems a no-brainer to me. I'm sure this must have been mentioned before, but I can't find a thread on it.

This would create a whole new dynamic to positioning fleets for PvP and PvE. Warp-ins could actually be useful when chasing down faster ships with slower ones, or landing a close range ship in the thick of a mission room.

The whole process of positioning ships & fleets would feel more natural and allow further innovation in strategic and tactical positioning.

I can't see what additional consideration would be needed to allow this to happen unless I'm missing something.

    make naming clones persistent .. everytime you jump to a clone the old one you were in its names reverts too default .. which kind of defeats the point of naming them if it doesn't last for more than one jump

    T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

    ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

    The contacts system needs revising so that unless you have the consent of the contact then you don't know if they are online. Always considered it a cheat to know when the enemy supers are all logging on. Make people use intel and not an omnipotent entity that knows whenever anyone is online.

    Add auto repeat toggle to strip miners and ice harvesters. It would mean a huge quality of life increase for me. Some of them already have the option, such as deep core strip miner 2s, but others do not. I can see no reason for this being the case and suspect it is just an oversight.

    Suggestion: Set Starting System for Agent Finder
    Keywords: Missions, Agents
    Note: The Agent Finder shows agents sorted by distance to the player's current system. Add a field to set a different system to be used as the starting point. And probably also for the Solar System filter of agents to be shown. Like in this example.

    Some suggestions for the tactical overlay:

    1. Add a velocity vector

    2. Show drone control range like you do for guns/missiles

    3. Add some sort of scale for the third dimension. This is space after all.

    Not specific to the tactical overlay: Why do drones lack skill affected stat info like turrets/misses have both in the fitting window and in space. Please update drones to reflect accurate damage, ranges and tracking stats while deployed much like there are for other weapon systems.

    - A "save as draft" option feature for mails would be beautiful.
    (Copy-pasting mails into an outside program as a make-shift draft doesn't save the formatting)

    - When forwarding mails that contain the maximum amount of formatting, they are automatically shortened, in order to add the "from, sent, to" lines. This makes it impossible to forward the 2nd half of a mail with ship fittings in it, because you cannot copy-paste fits. Please make it so the forwarded copy simply goes over the limit, and requires you to remove formatting somewhere in order for it to be sent.

    When you set a "round trip" to your route (A -> B -> A), both the next system and previous system on your route will show yellow on the overview.

    Please make it so systems that are on your route (but are not the next system) will show as a different color than the next system on your route.

    Suggestion: Permanently dismiss tutorials from tutorial window

    Notes:
    Every time I have a new client I see the aura tutorial on first login.
    I don't want to do the tutorials, so I close the tutorial window.
    But it pops up the next time I start the client.
    To permanently disable tooltips, I must find and uncheck a setting in the Escape menu.
    I would rather be able to use the existing tutorial settings menu to say 'Stop showing tutorials on this character.'
    I would like to be able to re-enable the tutorials, by unchecking the existing 'disable tutorials' setting in Escape menu.
