When flying into a new system the route/system info takes ages to appear. I assume this is a bug since it means you can warp 3 seconds faster by using overview as opposed to right clicking on route (which seems like a mistake).

Tried multiple times on my 3 systems.

1. time - normal update, downloaded patch, stuck at applying patch
2. time - run as administrator, downloaded patch, stuck at applying patch
3. time - In progress, now running repair on all 3 systems...



Had the same issue last time there was a major patch- I believe it was related to download server 1 being overloaded or something and I managed to grab the files of server 2, then copy from there to my other systems.

Would be awesome if this was working and I wasn't wasting time getting it to work... luckily I have free bandwidth - would have been costly to pay for 9+ times patching.



System spec 1
Intel i7-3820 CPU @ 3,6 gHz
24 GB memory
Windows 7 64-bit
EVE running on SSD.

Other 2 systems are 2-3 years older, running on SSD & normal HDD.


(Any feedback at all from CCP would be awesome, even a "we don't know why")

First time the client downloaded the patchfile (590158-598940) it was about 750mb in size (can't temember exactly how big). Patching stuck at 0.0%.
Restarted the client, it now downloaded the same patchfile again, but this time the file is 2 x large (1,575,445 Kb).
Patching now works ok.

When the launcher stopped at the 'applying patch' step, I went to settings and exported the patch, saving it

But when I restarted the launcher (it wants to download the patch again) and try to import the file I saved, it imports the patch and stops again

That patch cost me ten aussiebux to download :(

um yeah that doesn't work for everyone, I've restarted mine four times now and they all failed....so I ran the repair.exe tool and it stopped after 3/7 steps and said it was complete. Now I can't open the launcher, or the exe.exe file.

So now I am reinstalling the client....

Try to not log in when u restart launcher wait until update is finished.
It worked for me

OK, so got stuck too at applying patch, not at 0 but a 100%. Was really pissed off about having to redownload the patch all over again, then i noticed that in the launcher settings there's a "patch" tab where i could unclick "delete patch after use" and where i could export the said patch. I'm not sure but i could maybe help the ones with 3 or 4 applying issues... My internet is a slow ass motherf*cker also so i sympathize with all the unlucky.
Now that this "small" hickup is passed, time to go face the trizillions of small and less small bugs in the game itself... Gotta love CCP ;)

The cap stable to being 2:24m on shield boosting with lvl V skills in a tengu is odd too.....suggestions?


I've experienced the half-white screen as well a couple of weeks ago, also during a mission. It must have already existed. Time to queue missiles!
edit: 2x 6870 crossfire on dual monitor extended display; 2500k i5 @4ghz; 8gb ram on RAID 0 2xWD HDD's.

- I start with shields down ... from 10% up to 70 %, depends on ship ( all atls in WH space )

- Microsoft security essentials ( sic ) ask me to send program files (x86) \ CCP \ bin`\exefile.exe to determine if it's a malicious element

Read about all the problems with patching, tried repair tool straight off. It failed on (7/7)applying patch, but when i restarted it, it restarted where it had failed. *shrug*

CCP > what's this QA thing people are talking about?What?

Are you completely sure about it. I am currently reading here and my 2 clients are downloading (one is also in a different PC).
I am crossing my fingers to see the patch applied. This is my 2nd try.

ok i know that pulse lasers were not affected by latest patch but before the patch went live i took a screen shot of fitting on some of my ships for new rep amount. My legion is pulse laser fitted and before patch it had falloff range of 27km and optimal range of 22 with conflag but now its got 16 and 11.

i just docked up and 3 of the 5 were showing old values but 2 were showing lower values. I have just tried undocking and looking at values again ( with tactical overlay on and they are showing the lower values still!!

yes the client has been restarted and i did unfit and refit the guns and its still the same can you explain this please?


Also i have had to download updates twice to get them to work on 3 clients!! And running as admin made no difference.

Alright my client finally says ready after applying for quite some time. I did say my own solution may or may not work for you, so I'm not surprised it doesn't work for a number of people. Anyway my experience was like this:

- Normally launch game from launcher shortcut, begins 700ish MB download.
- 2.5 hours later, gets stuck at applying 0%.
- Closed launcher, ran with admin rights, starts at "creating patch".
- Noticed creation of patch was real slow, opened network monitor, found launcher downloading again.
-1.5 hours later, got to 40% patch creation, switched to applying patch, done without any more hiccups.

Not sure if it helps anyone but I do suggest checking your task manager for network use if the client says anything other than ready and you aren't sure what it's doing.

Absolutely glad I had Saits Row IV to play while waiting on the download... twice :)

ALSO - if you get the message "something went wrong" when you hit play after your client says ready, close launcher and reopen. Solves that problem.

Bugs:

1. When docking a ship, if I open the radial menu of drones in bay, my client crashes.

2. Auto-targeting missiles de-activates when the missile's target is untargeted. Workaround: Don't target it in the first place.

uninstalled/reinstalled finally worked after i had to manually clean the registry of all ccp program indications.

the win 7 machine finally worked after looping the client 4 times, the windows 8 machine had to have the registry rebuilt.

so lets see here hmm another 3 to 4 hours fkn wasted fixing ccp's fkups... now to login and discover new bugs, after rebuilding my overviews ofc.. wouldnt be a complete patch if i didnt have to rebuild overviews...

also having a problem with the patch

Applying o.o% - seems stuck so i am restarting the launcher as suggested

nice ... it re-downloads 751mb's - im glad im not on a restricted internet diet - hoping this works

just fyi
win 7 - home premium (64 bit)
i7-870
8gb ram

perhaps there is a bit of code missing? ie: apply the patch ?


UPDATE : after restarting launcher and it redownloading - it has applied.

just a hint, someone got fired for putting online an update that created less bug for our customers than this update 2 weeks ago in my company.

just sayin' CCP employee are kinda lucky, because in a real world company, such things ARE major fault that often lead to employee being FIRED on the spot....
